• Don't know what version of Photoshop to get, I need the oil paint filter.

  I am a new designer and class, I did some really cool stuff with paint filter oils and I LOVE IT, it will be a large part of the style I want to develop but I'm on a test of CC and it isn't here! I did my homework and found out that apparently the latest version of CC has eliminated the great filter! Go figure!

  I want this BAD filter, then, what are my best options?

  Adobe has so many products and versions that I am really confused about what to get.

  So should I get CS6? Or y at - it an older version of CC who has the oil paint filter?

  I saw somewhere, there is a filter of painting in oil or plug in the CC, but only for windows and I am on a Mac.

  Please make sure that your system meets the following requirements to run the oil paint filter:

  • 1024 x 768 display (1280 x 800 recommended) with 16-bit and 512 MB of VRAM colors (1 GB or more of VRAM is recommended)
  • To use the acceleration OpenGL, your system must support OpenGL 2.0 and Shader Model 3.0 or later version
  • To use the OpenCL acceleration, your system should support OpenCL 1.1 or later

  If your system meets the conditions set out above, then follow the steps below:

  • Choose Edition > Preferences > Performance (Windows) or Photoshop > preferences > Performance (Mac OS).

  • In the results panel, make sure that the graphics processor use is selected in the settings section of the graphics processor.
  • Click Advanced settings and specify the following options: make sure open CL must be verified.

  Does anyone know where is the "marker to start project? Not here, and where it is shown in photos in "help". Use often to start my sessions a few bars before 1 Bar. The "End of project marker" triangle is at the end of my session and 'Help', said that both exist. Thank you!

  Very important "DO NOT SET YOUR PROJECT START MARKER EARLIER THAN 1,1,1,1"

  Doing so brings various undesirable problems caused by a negative project start marker.

  Just start your project at the bar 3 or where to leave room for everything what you want to do earlier. Don't forget you can still "enter time" at any time after creating a project to make more room and move the whole project to the right if necessary.

• Improve the oil paint filter?

  It is very good that the filter of the oil painting is reintroduced in the new update, but I think it should be improved. It could be better.

  Once the filter oil painting left 2014 CC Photoshop I resorted to use the mobile app to reach oil painting effect.

  I'm disappointed 'not' to find the filter oil painting in PS CC 2014.  But all the old old filters are always available.  I'm on an experimental basis for the CC.  Try LR... and PSCC

  It's still there to 14.2.  If you have the disk space, it's a good idea to keep 14.2 installed with CC 2014 due to problems like the oil painting, and all the Flash coded extensions that does not work with CC 2014.  I know it's a PITA swapping them and you can have them both open at the same time, but I hope that most of the Flash/HTML5 problems will come just in time.  Much old extensions have now been redone with HTML5 as a guide, but who has been replaced by a higher quality tool that comes with CC 2014.  I do however Miss of Dmonzon tools.
