  • Anyone tried O-T-A direct local HDTV accessories?

I downloaded the www.Pluto.tv app and liked the look and feel of it, but its interface that mimics a TV guide suddenly made me think; What local stations live from HDTV come somehow directly through the Apple TV device?  I did a little light research and so far I see there are a handful of hardware devices that can interconnect with Apple TV and via air and push TV programs that are locally on the device.   Anyone tried one of these devices? Have any comments on their use?

One is called: "Tablo", which is a device that plugs into an HDTV antenna (so I read), and the App and acts as a DVR of all kinds, when used with the Apple TV.
The second is called: "HDHomeRun', which has a similar setup. and a third, one called www.Simple.TV, which acts as a Network Attached Storage.

Or you could simply connect the antenna to the TV

  • Cloud TV - is - anyone tried the Plex app?

I just discovered a new application of Plex on cloud TV. It's only for the plex subscribers pass which I am not. Anyone tried the Plex app?

I hope those who work on the app made freely available soon.

I don t use this app, but as far as I know the Pass Plex subscription gives you premium features exclusive and early access to the new.

I think it should be possible to synchronize content of your Plex Media Server providers of storage supported cloud to enjoy anywhere you have an internet connection and of course other features.

Here, you should get more details:

  • Has anyone tried using the cw3dgraph in WPF?

Has anyone tried to use the CW3DGraph with a WPF project? I guess you need a WIndowsFormHost? If yes I do not know how you would connect into it. I control in my project reference but I don't know how I would refer to it on a window.

    Hello

The CW3DGraph is an ActiveX control. This article on MSDN provides steps on how to host a custom ActiveX on WPF: MSDN Walkthrough: hosting an ActiveX control in WPF

The procedure step by step uses Windows Media Player for example, but it still serves as a useful reference.

    Hope this helps,

  • Has anyone tried a 8GB SODIMM in DV6ZSE?

I have a HP DV6ZSE (3200 DV6Z CTO Select Edition) - map mother AMD M880 G, PhenomII x 2 cpu.  Even though I know that the original specifications list 8GB (4GBx2) as the ram max, the material must be able to run the 16 GB (8GBx2).  I don't know if the BIOS will allow this, however.

Has anyone tried one or two sticks 8 GB in this motherboard?  I am currently using BIOS F28.

Before ask you, I am a heavy user of Photoshop and Lightroom and know that I can use close to the 16 GB that I have on my desk when you work on HDR or panoramic using several large RAW files and layers.

Since I don't have all the answers from anyone who has actually tried 8 GB sticks in this type of Mo, I decided to try it myself.  I bought a kit dual channel:

    CORSAIR 16 GB (2 x 8G) 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 computer laptop memory model CMSO16GX3M2A1333C9

and it turns out it works.  A small "bug" is that the BIOS displays only 4 digits of the size of the memory, displaying "6384MB" instead of "16384 MB", but all the 16 GB are recognized and used.

  • Anyone tried animated Email GIFs? The results?

It had to happen at some point - the new wave of gifs animated just could not be contained on Tumblr. The use of this bit of candy for the eyes in the e-mail is a discussion that appeared internally, and I was curious - no matter which were used in their campaigns, and what was the effect? I can see some use specially designed for them, but used sparingly and specifically. Interested in anyone who has experience with these sprites animated in email.

I did it in the past with video screen captures. Our designer mocked by a still image of video 'player' which included a picture of the video and a 'play' on the frame button (clicking on a led to a landing page, where they could actually watch the video). We have done with a fixed image in the email and also tried a .gif animated rotating through several other executives, Simulacra of 'play' video. A self image was great for generating clicks (people cannot resist the play button!), the rotation was an added bonus. (Great tip of Rob on Outlook 2007. I didn't know that!).

  • How to extract a file ZIP (structure records incl.) worldwide RIM of JavaAPI - anyone tried it?

    Hello

any of you have ever tried to write code, that can extract a ZIP file that contains several files? I ask because in the JavaWorld, it is quite a simple task (using the file zip (or ZipInputStream) and ZipEntry)...

Now, I wanted to do the same thing in my BB Application - and I realize now that there is no equivalent to ZipEntry... and provided him GZInputStream & ZLibInputStream are 'just' capable of files unique handle [but not including file archives].

So my question is, is there someone who has always tried to extract a ZIP on the BB with the RIM API? And if so could you help me... or even better is a sort of LIB (jar) that can be used?

    TIA

    Matthias

just for the records (if someone else is looking for it) - there is a GNU zipME lib:

  • Did anyone tried Power Director

  • Has anyone tried synchronous call ADF ADF Services BC

Citing synchronously one ADF business components an Application of Oracle ADF - 11 g Release 5 (11.1.5) Service

One tried the above method and when to use the approach described above and when not use.

Please also let me know the advantages and disadvantages of the use of the approach described above and alternatives.

    Thank you.

    Hello

It is if you need to invoke an ADF BC as a service from an ADF BC or ADF application it is co-located. In this case that a Java call is issued instead of a WSDL call. The recommendation not to use a JAX - WS proxy applies only in a situation where the Web Service and application using this resident on the same server or deployment. To use this code, you must set on the project client library of your. The client JAR is one of the JAR files created during deployment of the ADF BC service. There are 3 uses of the ADF BC Services

1 remote use via references WSDL (JAX - WS)

    2. press on SOA (such as objects SDO using remite JNDI calls)

    3. local access via JNDI search premises, then access to the Java services

The model is documented for the Oracle Applications and I do not see many uses of this outside of Oracle applications. Outside the Oracle Applications, the use of the access of JAX - WS is more common

  • Has anyone tried to load 5 ESXi on a HP Z620?

If someone tried to load any version of ESXi on HP Z620?

This is a new workstation that is supposed to be an upgrade of the previous Z600, but it has several improvements, so I was wondering if it is supported, because it would make for a less costly solution than to have to buy a Proliant server...

Yes, I finally got one of these workstations and they ROCK, as they have USB 3.0 and a bunch of other options, but unless you work for Pixar or somebody Runnin' software for modeling 3D FULL-ON then it's exaggerated for a regular work...

Anyway, I didn't just install Windows Server so I decided to try VMware ESXi on this machine, so I could use it as a development server, and I can still RDP in my own work space.

So maybe this will help others, but the HP Z620 works with:

    ESXi 5.0

    5.1 ESXi

I loaded two versions and they work very well, so feel SAFE a purchase as you possibly can it discharge as a makeshift virtual host...

I'll try to get my hands on a next muhahaha, Z800, and Z820...

  • Has anyone tried Vmware workstation on Server 2011 definition

I was going to try to do this with windows seven but I was wondering if someone has? I know that some people have set 2011 as a virtual machine, but I was wondering if anyone has done the opposite? All comments if you did would be appreciated

Yes.  I installed 8 WS on SBS 2011 of course the host Windows version. - and created Windows and Linux hosts

I also installed SBS as guest on Windows and Linux hosts.  Don't forget to install SBS as a guest that you must set a maximum size of hard for your o SBS 2011 VM 160 GB. It will start as 20 GB or so on your host and expand when you add functions, the roles of programs and data.  You already know this size with an SBS host requirement.

  • Has anyone tried to 'fit' the site Wizard form?

I want to add some additional fields to the basic shape - someone has already tried this at all?

If you really want to learn then look in tutorial that explains the treatment involved compared with the help of an Assistant. You want to learn or you want someone to simply create the form for you and make it work? Usually, you would use her bute to atrri name of the field in the form to send the POST value to the script to deal with an email. Then form field with name = 'something' turn into a variable in php like this:

    $something = $_POST ['something'];

Then in the php script you can concatenate the vairable $something in the content of your message. For your example if you had a form field with a name of something, then you would declare the variable in php and add it to your body of the message as follows:

    $messageproper =
"This message has been sent: \n".

"It's the value of the form field something: $something\n.
    "$http_referrer\n".
    "------------------------------------------------------------\n" .
    "Name of sender: $fullname\n.
    "The email of sender: $email\n.
    "------------------------- COMMENTS -------------------------\n\n" .
    WordWrap (MAX_LINE_LENGTH, "\n", $comments, true).
    "\n\n------------------------------------------------------------\n" ;

    Season to taste.
