  • Cannot access the Microsoft Update Site

I get the following error message when you try to access the update site:

Microsoft Update could not be installed on your computer

Make sure that you log on as an administrator or as a member of the Administrators group, and then try again.

    More troubleshooting options

    • If your computer is connected to a network and the problem persists, contact your system administrator to see if your Microsoft Update settings are managed by using Group Policy.
    • If your computer is not connected to a network, or if your system administrator has not disabled Microsoft Update, check if the Windows Update service is disabled or stopped. For information about how to start a service, search help and Support on your computer.

Note: If you encounter problems with the installation of Microsoft Update, you can continue to get updates for your computer by going to Windows Update in control Panel.

I don't quite know what to do next.  I would like to be able to access this site for updates that cancelled or failed during the update process automatic (and who seem not to be re - that appear as options when I check the updates).

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated...

Absolutely do not use the default Administrator account. Just make a new Admin account to
use and leave the other to test and difficulty. In fact, make an Admin NOW account to use to test and fix
According to the needs. If your sole administrator corrupts you will have a big headache.

  • Strange pages updated to the point that is trying to access a site.

When I click to access a site, I get weird things like taking a survey of Firefox, the free map of Wal-Mart, which sell things. 1 I had was just a small white square in the middle of the page that says something like congratulations. You are the lucky visitor & win a prize. Click here. That always comes to the top too. I have never clicked on it.
This is an example of a time it happens. I play Gardens of Time. I also belong to Facebook. If I'm on FB & one of my nabors has need of something and I try to help & can't get on the site GOT to help. I receive one of the above. I changed today to Safari and it not happened at all in Safari. I prefer Firefox, but if this continues, & there for several days, I'll be forced to use another site. Please help clarify this.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
  • Browser is no longer will allow me to access the sites that access all the time

I'm trying to access different websites that I've found only 12 hours ago, and I told myself I can not because of two issues of content - such as the proposed site porn my browser, either because the IP address is unclassifiable.
I checked to see if I had a bad Windows Update to explain this, and although there was an update to security 12 hours ago, it was listed as successful.
How can I access my sites again?

I discovered that the filter also affected my Kindle. I have contacted the ISP and discovered that they had made a mistake on their end. The problem is now resolved.
    Thanks for your response.

  • Cannot access the necessary updates

I just reformat the hard drive on my computer and reinstalled the operating system from the disk provided with the computer system.  At the time I bought the computer operating system is Windows XP SP2. I'm trying to access updates needed to bring the BONES to the current version of Windows XP SP3 but cannot access necessary updates.  I did it for another computer I have about 3 months ago and had no problem doing this.  Now, whenever I try to access the necessary updates, I get a message that says the site cannot open the page I am trying to open. This happens on Windows Update and Microsoft Update. How can I solve this problem?

  • Not having does not have access to Windows Update online...

So, I had an empty shell and a spare hard drive. I installed windows on a 30 GB FAT32 partition. I have restart it, install the network driver after looking on the net for a few hours by another machine. Go to intel, download the chipset drivers and those install and reboot.

When the computer is fully booted, I access "Windows Update" link on the start menu, and it brings me to this support page.

Well, when I installed windows it was SP2, so I download the SP3 from another part of the Microsoft Web site and installed.  Now, the computer will download the recommended updates, but I still can't access the Windows Update, or Microsoft Update page page. That's why I can't install optional updates or update driver audio microsoft provides for this motherboard.

Is there anyway to access one of these sites, so I can download optional updates?

After researching the web once again, I found that the windows update agent here.  After installing it, I could once more access to Windows update and install Microsoft Update.

  • Provision of phone is the device used to access the site by default.

I tried to figure this out on my own & have had zero luck after hours and hours. I hope someone can provide assistance.

I have built many sites using Muse, if I build a 'Phone' layout, transfer it with the layout "Desktop" or "Compressed", that the 'phone' comes back every time, little matter device used to access the site. Current site I'm working on and who need to get the mobile layout working for client is www.limegreenmasonry.com .

I discovered the site of my Surface Pro 3, 5 Nexus and Nexus 7, all with the same result of 'Phone' of loading default layout. I use the latest version of Muse, but had these problems with the last build too. Firefox is underway on SP3, mobile Chrome on 5 of Nexus and Nexus 7.

    Help will be very appreciated.

Remove the following custom code of thesection of the Properties Page or the Site properties:

Not sure why that would have been added, but it is certainly not there.

Then update to version 2015.1 recently published Muse and re-publish/upload.

There was a bug which translates a generated Muse site evil redirecting to available phone in some browsers on Windows 10 if the computer or the device has a HiDPI touch screen (i.e. a Surface Pro or similar laptop / Tablet hybrid with a screen HiDPI). 2015.1 release changes exit Muse to properly manage display information provided by browsers when running on Windows 10.

That said, there is still a philosophical question about whether a device hybrid as a Surface Pro is a desktop computer or a Tablet, and there is certainly no consensus. Browsers IE and edge Act mainly as if it is a tablet. Chrome and Firefox act like the desktop browser they are. And to complicate things more, a Muse site chooses to charge your shelf or desk combination by looking at the "reference pixel" browser width of your screen. So depending on the browser used, the size of the physical screen, the parameters of the screen (i.e. "Display scaling" setting) the orientation of the device (portrait or landscape) and the browser used, you can get the presentation of the Tablet, otherwise you might get the office layout.

It is generally a good practice to provide 'Go to the site of office', 'Go to the tablet site' and 'Go to the site of phone' links when creating an Adaptive development site.

  • Googlebot cannot access your site. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

    Hello

I'm a rookie at this. I just wanted to create a simple site and could use the tools webmasters google crawl my site

    but it happens

"I received an e-mail from saying: webmaster tools".

    Googlebot cannot access your site.

    Recommended action

If the site's error rate is 100%:

    • Using a web browser, try to accesshttp://www.graphicsigns.co.nz/robots.txt. If you are able to access it from your browser, your site can be configured to deny access by googlebot. Check your firewall configuration and the site to ensure that you are not denying access by googlebot.
    • If your robots.txt file is a static page, check that your web service has appropriate permissions to access the file.
    • If your robots.txt file is generated dynamically, verify that scripts that generate the robots.txt file are properly configured and have to run. Check the logs of your Web site to see if your scripts fail and if so try to diagnose the cause of the failure.

If the site's error rate is less than 100%:

    • Using webmaster tools, find a day with a high error rate and review logs of your web server to this day here. Look for errors to access robots.txt file in the logs for that day and fix the causes of these errors.
    • The more likely explanation is that your site is too large. Contact your hosting provider and discuss to reconfigure your web server or by adding more resources to your Web site.
    • If your site redirects to a different host name, another possible explanation is that a URL on your site redirects to a hostname portion of his robots.txt file exposes one or more of these questions.

Please need your help & expertise to solve this.

    Musch appreciated.

Sitemap.XML is automatically created and updated in Muse. If you are hosting the Business Catalyst, then the sitemap.xml is not created by Muse. • "This connection is Untrusted" appears when you try to access all sites on MacBook Pro; problem started after running Avast scan of the computer

I ran the full scan of the disc of Avast. Since then, I have been unable to access any site using Firefox without getting the message, "this connection is not approved." Many are the sites I have been too many times before, and they are trusted sites. I don't know if there is a problem with Firefox or Firefox could recover place a sort of new "infestation". The Avast scan resulted in 5 put files in a quarantine area. Eleven years could not be scanned. Thanks for any help you can provide!

I guess Safari normally works on these sites?

The latest version of avast! Web Shield includes a function to filter your Internet connections for potential threats. In order to filter secure sites, it must present a certificate of 'false' for the site in Firefox, so it can be 'in the middle' and read your secure communications. If Firefox is not set false certificates of trust, then you will get warnings for all secure sites.

You can disable this feature as a test to see if the problem goes away.

If this works, but you want to use the feature, you must import the certificate of Avast in the tab "References" of Firefox so Firefox accepts its false certificates (there might be an automated way AVAST to do this for you, or you might need export from IE and then import them into Firefox).

Here is an exchange of views on avast! "forum of s on the way in which this is supposed to work: problems and questions about HTTPS scanning - Avast Internet 2015
