AP fails to reach the controller

I have a controller 4402 and I try to add a 1200 AP series as the first point of access.

The controller has 5.2.178 a version of the code and the AP has just been converted from autonomous to lwapp.

I checked the date and time of the two units, and they are in a few minutes apart.

Here's what the AP shows when it is start and fails to reach.

Have you used the Cisco Aironet for LWAPP conversion tool.

in the affirmative.

Check the installation of the upgrade tool directory and see if it has created a (.csv) file that contains the CSD for the AP. Then manually add in the WLC under Security, then AP policies link.

    Hi Marc,

    Make sure first that your controller has software code 8.0.x or above, if first better it. Here's the code recommended by TAC

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/wireless-LAN-Controller-software/200046-TAC-recommended-AireOS.html

    Then, try the UX above deployment guide to begin. Under Advanced tab WLAN, you need to enable "of the first universal ap' in order to use this app provisioning & connect to the AP.

    If you have more than 1 AP, then you must start 1AP using this application. Other access points that you can feed them upward, while AP original is also powered, so they'll use protocal called NDP & start them automatically

    Let us know how it goes

  • What happens if the controller fails?

    Hello

    It is a fundamental issue. What happens if wireless controller (4404) fails? All APs will be going down too, or only new users will not access not the wireless network?

    TIA

    Alex

    It's really one depends on these issues.  If of the AP is in local mode and it is not all the other controllers available to join then the AP will go down.  If there are other controllers available as the AP could join then it move to that controller and the failure would be the process of discovery/join.

    The other option is to have the AP mode H-REAP.  When the AP is in REAP hour mode they will be keep blowing along the same when the controller is down.  There are some limitations here of course, but given that the data of the customer traffic is enabled locally at the fire AP can still flow if the controller is down.

  • EliteBook 725 G3: Failed to update the Firmware USB controller of Type C

    My laptop is one of the first to come out of the Assembly line and came with firmware 1.02.

    1.08 BIOS that is out there, so I tried to update Windows 7.  It took time, but it's over and the tool said to restart.  That's all he said I remember.

    Upon restart, it started giving beep codes.  I don't remember who it was, but it was something like 1 long 2 short or long 2 2 - short.  He kept with him for awhile and I got sick of him, so I pushed on and held the power button for the kill and then restarted.

    This time, he got in the BIOS, who says she has been updated controller firmware USB Type C of v12 v13.  This FAILURE and gave me the option "restart and try again."  I took that, but he was never retried.

    I felt comfortable with that, so I flashed the BIOS 1.08 again, this time in the BIOS using a Flash DRIVE (\Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\New\N73_0108.bin).  He went through much faster than on Windows, and in the end, he actually warned me that the machine may beep for awhile after restarting.  Uh, thanks for the warning, now it's too late.  Why doesn't Windows Update program gave me the same caveat useful?

    In any case, the SystemRoot machine, but he did nothing to try to update the firmware of the controller USB Type-C.  I'm guessing that he defined an indicator saying somewhere that we are already at 1.08, so there is nothing new to do.

    When the BIOS Setup is emptied using BiosConfigUtility.exe, it shows the USB Type-C controller firmware to be even 00.12.

    So, how to update at 00.13?

  • Fail to communicate with the controller of pump ISCO D series

    Hey everybody,

    I have an ISCO D pumps controller (which is connected to a syringe model 100DX ISCO pump) series I want to control using RS232 on Labview. I don't have their LabView Toolkit that Teledyne has mentioned in their technical Bulletin (TB06). In addition, I would like to automate my test, so using the Labview Toolkit will be not too useful.

    The problem I face is not being able to communicate with the controller via hyperterminal or LabVIEW.

    I ran their (mentioned in TB06) integrated series test and communicate as expected. I also tried to run their program remote pump (mentioned in technical Bulletin 19 of Teledyne - TB19) which seems to do what is expected as well.

    I tried to talk about using LabVIEW first using the vi that I joined, and I saw nothing on the buffer. So, I moved to hyperterminal.

    But when I try to send the command 'remote' listed in TB19, it doesn't seem to do anything. There is no answer on the hyperterminal.

    There is mention of a DASNET Protocol, and I found the .dll file that I also moved in my Windows System 32 folder. It did not work even after that too.

    I have attached TB06 and TB19. Let me know if you have other ideas how to do to test it.

    Please let me know if you need further information.

    Thank you

    Sandeep

    Hey everybody,

    After going through their best manual, I found the way to correctly send a frame. The manual at, www.isco.com/pcfiles/PartPDF/SL000004/UP00194U.pdf, section 7 specifically, it is intended.

    For the purposes of anyone who stumbles across this thread, here's an example.

    If you have your.

    Destination (the pump regulator) ID = 1

    the source of the (computer) message = 00

    and you try to send the message to DISTANCE that would turn the controller in "REMOTE" mode

    Then you would send '1R006REMOTE1B', where 1 is the ID of destination
    R is right to recognize the previous received message

    00 is the ID of the computer

    6 length of command

    "REMOTE" the command itself, must be uppercase

    Checksum 1 b (which changes with the command of course)

    And you can do the same thing in LabVIEW, you can enter '1R006REMOTE1B' in the VISA write while keeping everything else the same as the snapshot of the vi I sent previously.

    Dennis, actually do not have the CD itself, but I assumed, would nothing more than an executable since I downloaded the demo driver for LabVIEW (http://www.isco.com/products/appnotes.asp?PL=105 under utilities) pump. I am currently trying to locate the CD here at the lab, and I will update this thread if I find something useful.

    I guess that my problem has been resolved.

    Thanks for your input in this Dennis.

    Kind regards

    Sandeep

  • T520 keeps restarting before reaching the home screen of the BIOS

    Hello

    has obtained a T520 here (nVidia GPU) that reboots constantly and never reaches the home screen of the BIOS:

    -power LED button turns green

    -fan turns and optical drive is accessible

    -fan, the LED shuts off

    -pause of about a second and the whole sequence starts again

    This happens with the power supply and a battery. HARD drive is deleted.

    I already seconded the optical drive and the BIOS battery.

    Any other ideas? Would it be the result of a BIOS update failed? Or a few screws - up variables UEFI?

    Is there a procedure for recovery of crisis for the T520 update the BIOS for the boot block?

    Kind regards

    I have reflashed the BIOS area in the SPI flash (offset 0 x 500000, length 0 x 300000) and the error disappeared!

    BIOS version is 1.42, the source for the binary file was the. FL1 updated Win7 Lenovo BIOS file (same offset as shown above).

    The only problem was that the SPI flash came with WSON package, so I could not use the clip Ponoma and had to solder wires.

    See you soon,.

  • Regulator PID very slow to reach the value Point and zeros process Variable when it should not

    Hello

    I am using a PID controller to regulate the emission of a filament current in an ion gauge, but I'm running into several problems.

    The first and less important, are the controller of PID VI takes at least 5 minutes to get the current where it needs to be.  Is it possible to speed this up?

    The second and more important, are that the PID controller tends to zero the process variable before you start the process of getting the close process of the target value variable.  This can be seen in the attached VI: I write 5.8 volts voltage filament - something I did at the beginning to try to get the controller PID for the process close to the target faster - value variable but when the PID controller starts to do his thing, he kills the tension before anything, rather than rise of 5.8 V.

    The attached VI is a single which has these problems.  VI actual ion gauge controller I've written has the same problems, but in a form even more frustrating.  I have a while loop set up for the filament voltage to where it should be (using a PID controller) first and foremost, then a loop of data acquisition, which also includes a feedback loop in the form of a PID regulator to maintain the filament voltage.  When the second PID controller starts to run, it concentrates the tension that the earlier had set, taking another 5 + minutes to reach the point where we can take data and giving us 5 minutes of false data in the process!

    Does anyone know why PID controllers are behaving like this, and what can I do to fix/work with this behavior?

    Hello

    It seems that PID VI will always be 0 for the first iteration. You can, however, use the advanced PID VI and set up the first iteration in manual mode. After subsequent iterations, you could then define this automatic mode and there will be a transition smoothly. I think this will give you the desired behavior.

  • Error 1 occurred Armijo rule stepsize reduction failed to reduce the value of function within the maxiters

    Hello

    I try to use the VI of unconstrained optimization to fit a measured spectrum. However, each call VI, I get the error:

    Error 1 occurred Armijo rule stepsize reduction failed to reduce the value of function within the maxiters

    Possible reasons:

    LabVIEW: An input parameter is not valid. For example if the input is a path, the path can contain a character not allowed by the operating system such as? or @.
    =========================
    NOR-488: Command requires controller GPIB be in Charge.

    Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong and how I can fix this problem?

    The VI for the stepsize Armijo rule reduction can be found here:

    \vi.lib\gmath\NumericalOptimization\qn_armijo rule stepsize reduction.vi

    In the current implementation, the spectrum is able to a rectangular spectrum. This may be the cause of the error?

    I have attached the screw that I use. They are written in LabVIEW 2010.

    Thanks Marc67 for your quick reply, but I found the error.

    It was pretty stupid, that I used a bad vector of departure for the unconstrained optimization VI, which was too low values.

  • FPGA Compilation fails because of the mistake of Xilinx

    My FPGA compiles and I cannot understand why. There is nothing crazy in my FPGA VI of really, it seems strange to have this type of problem. I have compiled successfully any FPGA code on this computer, so I should definitely have everything needed to compile.

    Event Viewer says ATAPI: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1.
    The fact is that the cd-rom drive is behaving oddly. Reads the DVD of film without problem, but does not read floppy disks to install Windows (good on an another two comps).
    I therefore launched Verifier.exe and checked the other drivers. The result is dumpATA.sys is not running. (Is BTW not MS driver?).
    How can I force to load this driver?

    I checked the installation disc to compare the original version, boot.win opened, but the pilot is nowhere. Where did it come from?
    So I recorded the dump file, but the analysis of what this file is beyond my capabilities.

    It seems to intimate that it's a hardware problem rather than a driver. You say that you are having problems with the optical drive. If you log out, you still have problems to restart or boot?

    This probably isn't a memory problem, but a better method of verification, it is with Memtest86 + http://www.memtest.org/#downiso>
    Download the ISO and then create a CD with it and boot from it. If you have more than one piece of RAM, pull all but one test, then close, replace it with another and test, etc. I find it a little faster than the test at a time.

  • secondary ACS 5.1 fails to cancel the registration, after IP change on primary

    IP address of primary education had to be modified, in response to a hardware failure of the RADIUS server with the intellectual property in several configs device.

    Now school is unresponsive to repeated requests "Cancel registration of the primary", even after reloading.

    apparently because he can't reach the primary to the old IP address.

    Asking to cancel the registration in the GUI generates pop-up that says: "this operation will remove this Instance ACS of the primary Instance.

    On this instance of the CSA management applications will be restarted and you will need to identify yourself again.  After you perform this operation

    Please wait five minutes for this restart complete.

    Do you want to continue? »      [OK]

    But checking back after 10 minutes - or even the next day - find status of secondary education unchanged.

    Also tried in Local Mode, cancel the registration of the primary;  This operation also fails.

    Does anyone have the URL HOWTO on a total reconstruction of the application of GBA?

    The two ACS are PCA-1121-K9 5.1.0.44.4 running.

    Thanks in advance for any help...

    UPDATE: *.

    Command, has recommended "application reset-config acs", has been _exactly_ what was needed.

    jrabinow - thanks a lot!    :-)

    also, thanks for mentioning that the licence would be required, so that I could locate in advance and have it ready.

    Since there is no local CERT on the server, we should not re - install those.

    Since it is a secondary antibody that it should not have too much in terms of specific configuration

    Therefore, one possibility is to reset the configuration, so once more, it becomes just a stand-alone node and then that to the deployment as it is for any new node and as you saved it until

    Reset configuration can be done using the following command in the CLI:

    rebate to zero-config CSA

    Note that after resetting the configuration you will need to reinstall the license so make sure that you have it handy

    So if you installed a certificate server to the secondary server, you have that too

    The system works fine, no freezes or crashes, but I would like to know what is the cause, is it hardware or driver related?

    Hello

    Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
    Since you don't face any problem while working, the system works very well. The error in the log occurred due to the error of the driver in this case. But immediately, Windows is taking measures to restore the driver, so that the system works very well. The journal entry is just a notification. During the scan, the higher the use of the disc, so the number of failures is likely to increase. It occurs even in situations where there is a transfer of files.
  • Old famous problem - AP LAP1142N cannot join the controller - 4402, please participate, we will make a good guide!

    Hello people,

    I'm sorry for bringing this debate again. I would not dare to ask this question, if I find someone is clear cut suggestion/solution or an overview giving a detailed step by step procedure. Just people suggest jumping through hoops as much as the reset of the AP or conversion to stand-alone mode and then back to LWAPP.

    Therefore, I have so many questions and hope that we can make a good guide that covers all possible problems.

    (1) AP originally ran a stand-alone image.  I started in so-called ROMMON or AP mode (ESC is the right key to start in this mode)

    I found a recovery image in its flash - c1140-rcvk9w8-mx. I did start it AP with him using the 'set' command and I see that it start to boot using this recovery image. That is the question. All the parameters of the AP matter? For example, when I run the command "set" of the PA, I see the following:

    AP: the value

    ?=

    DEFAULT_ROUTER = 10.0.0.1

    Default_router = 10.9.99.1

    ENABLE_BREAK = yes

    IP_ADDR = 10.0.0.1

    IP_AddR = 10.9.99.9

    MANUAL_BOOT = no

    NETMASK = 255.255.255.224

    NEW_IMAGE = yes

    PWR_INJECTOR_DETECT = 0016.c7fa. B394

    RELOAD_REASON = 9

    ROM_PERSISTENT_UTC = 1014941470

    TERMLINES = 0

    subnet mask = 255.255.255.0

    (2) how do something like "write erase" or even to recover the enable password while being in AP mode? Do I really need to do? What I see then makes me believe there is something with the AP (including SSH) configuration that prevents a join AP WLC.

    (3) the access point is turned on, connected to the switchport on the same VLAN L2 where WLC management interface. Then it starts and gets an IP address from the DHCP server located on another switch.

    Here's the question, why I see this on the console (pay attention to the line "transport input ssh")? It has nothing to do with an error for DTLS?

    entry ssh transport

    ^

    Invalid entry % detected at ' ^' marker.

    (4) what I need to connect the PA-Manager controller interface to the network, or I can count on the AP the WLC find through its management interface. I've never worked with the 4400 series controllers. It all started with 5500 and they do not have the ap interface - manager.

    Cisco Guide says: "the management interface is also used for communications between access points and WLC layer two", so I assume that this is enough. Moreover, I can ping the AP of the WLC when connected to WLC via SSH and its management interface.

    (5) and finally, what is the problem with the discovery? That's what I see on the controller debugging capwap packages:

    Discovery and how are we? L2 or L3?

    What about the rest of this thread is all over the place...:

    Can you confirm that the Interface of management and the Manager AP are both in the same vlan, same subnet and are configured with the same Port number?

    All these cases to 1 FPS and which port to connect has concerned me divide you the ports or something...

    The first provided newspapers imply that the AP could not reach at the AP Manager (but that the discovery of the Management Interface was very good)

    Newspapers second condition means that the AP never discovered a WLC at all (no attempt to join)...

    But then again, as Leo referenced, the area of Canada that I guess is a no - n... so maybe that was your problem original throughout and the 3600 join just because it is not compatible.
