• Is there real problems leaving the production as a 'full of APEX development environment?

  We have recently installed APEX (5) in our production and Test environments.  We have not all applications running in Production at the moment.  Looking through the documentation I've learned that you can configure an instance of the APEX "APEX full development environment" or a "APEX Runtime Environment" and you can switch between the two through scripting.

  It is recommended to set your runtime production environment.  However when you do this you will lose access to admin functions.  My questions are:

  (1) if we look / account ADMIN secure as well as all users in our application workspace, is so no REAL question simply letting PROD as development environment?

  (2) If you make your Production environment, a runtime environment, it seems that you can import only new applications via the SQL script.  What happens when you export out of your Test instance and it has an application ID that is already used in the Production environment?  When you import forward, it lets create you a new application ID instead of using the existing one.  I fear that the admins will accidentally overwrite an existing application if they import via the script.

  You can keep the Apex Builder in production. Indeed, it gives you a lot of additional options.

  Ask the administrator to disable all accounts developer of workspace in the production environment, however.

  Also, export the applications run only, not run & Build. It gives a little extra coverage.

  It would be bad practice. You would create a nightmare of versioning IMHO. What happens if you get an error of production application ID 1231, page 21, which is the application ID 132, page 21 in development? How can you know which application is which?

  My first ApEx application :) What is the best practice to deploy an ApEx application to production?
  
  Also, I created end users account and use accountsto, connect from the end-user to ApEx via a URL (http://xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/apex/f? p = 111:1). However, how is it sometimes it is still in development mode (ie: Home |) Request # | Change Page # | Create | Session |...) Tool bar appear at the bottom, but sometimes not?

  When you set up your users, make sure that the radio button for the area of admin work and developer is set to no. Cela should make them an "end user", and they should not see links. Only developers and administrators of the workspace can be seen.

• Duration of the apex - can we have access to the "Public Services" link Avaialbe in IDE

  Currently using Apex 3.2-11 GR 2

  The Production Server has only "Apex RUNTIME". All developer access is not allowed.

  But the requirement is a Manager to open a session in the IDE of the Apex and click "Utilities" and click reports Apex in the only case of "Apex runtime" on production. This is necessary for the Manager to see and monitor due to security requirements.

  The "Utilities" option is available during the installation of the apex is "runtime" only mode? Whatever it is dynamically switchable to a specific user connection to allow them to access these reports of object? Other suggestions on how these reports are available directly outside the Apex would also help.

  When the APEX is first installed, we can choose whether to install the APEX or APEX Runtime Environment complete development environment. This can be changed later by running the SQL scripts provided with the installation of the APEX. We can convert from a development environment complete APEX for an APEX runtime environment by running script SQL apxdevrm.sql that helps the user SYS with SYSDBA role. We can also convert a runtime environment to a full development environment by running SQL apxdvins.sqlscript. Conversion of the environment leave our unchanged applications, and they can be run using the same exact URL.

• upgrade of associated apex

  I installed oracle database 10g release2 with 10201_compenign_win32 that both are installed successfully
  
  I connect as http://127.0.0.1:7777 / pls/htmldb/htmldb_admin
  
  I entered the username and password then disconnect it.
  
  After that, I started the upgrade with apex_3.2.1. I did all the steps under apex_3.2.1 upgrade tutorial.
  After the completion of all steps
  
  When I connect back
  
  http://127.0.0.1:7777 / pls/htmldb/htmldb_admin with. images do not go to display.and, there is no movement on the page. When I click on submit button

  Hi Nisha,

  You can leave the top of the file, all lines starting with # are just a comment and has no effect on your service.
  the service name will be the name of your database (name - TNS). If you have configured the TNS to your OHS (be it by setting the environment variable to look in a certain direction to the tnsnames.ora or by creating one in the directory/admin-network at home-OSH) you will use the name format for service to configure the connection string. There are other ways to connect with TNS. Take a look at how to configure this setting:

  Use uefi HP PC Hardware Diagnostics utility to test the optical drive. My HP Omen 15 product ready to version 5.7.2.0 installed. You should maybe download and update your version of HP PC Hardware Diagnostics to get one that will test the optical drive. www.hp.com/go/techcenter/PCDiags

  Press the power button and then press the ESC key to access the boot menu. Now, press the F2 key to enter the diagnosis. Click the tests of components and then click on the optical drive. If the test shows the drive as failure you know it's time to replace it.

  Do a web search on Google or Bing with "hp pavilion g6-2305tx optical drive replacement"as key words to find a seller online.

• Tecra A11 - LED backlight problem

  I have great pain in my eyes after a day of working with Tecra A11 BIOS V1.7 = BIOS update.   First of all: cool! Nobody is perfect and that these things can happen that something does not work correctly.

  I put t know what problems you have with LED backlight, but a more detailed description would be nice. A friend of me also uses the Tecra A11 but it didn t tell me questions so I think this laptop works very well.

  And I think that it of normal that there is no contact with Toshiba and you won't get any help from Toshiba because you will need to contact a * authorized service provider *. If you have a problem with your laptop, connect with these guys here. They can repair the laptop and it's free if your laptop is under warranty. On the Toshiba site, you can find a list of them.
  Check this box!

  Finally, and especially if you have noticed that with an older version of BIOS, that everything works correctly, you can get this older version of a service as well. As you can see, it might be useful to communicate with these guys here.

• Stream 11: cannot retrieve streams 11

  Got new flow 11. Created on USB system recovery media. Test the USB key punt. Relative to the size of the USB key to the size of the recovery partition. Matched.

  Remove the hard disk recovery partition. System stopped to start with the error. Solution not worked.

  Long story short, the HDD is empty of all partitions. System recovery is grayed out on USB.

  WHY? and how to fix this?

  I don't care secure boot or uefi. and if I have to, patients go to mbr vs. GPT.

  If the recovery options are grayed out, this means that there is a problem with the recovery media, that you created.

  What I usually do when I create the recovery media, it is really test it to make sure it works before making changes on a new laptop hard drive.

  It has been my practice with each new product ready computer laptop HP that I received. I do not delete the recovery partition, because I don't see the value in doing this. You have removed yours and now you have problems.

  The HDMI port on the back of your PC is HDMI HDMI output not as with a video card video card of standard desktop or laptop.

  Can I use the HDMI output port on my HP Envy17-3002ea product ready for laptop to connect to an HD TV to use the TV as a large screen or view movies. This is not an option with your Alli all-in-one desktop PC.

  In my control panel in Add/Remove programs is a file/application/program title ocxinstall.  I've never heard or seen this before.  It is great 956 MB and after clicking on the support link I am informed that the editor is "apexis' version 1.0.0.32.  I ran a search on the C drive with no results.  How can I determine what it is and what it does?

More I explore this question of "overheating" in the line it worse it seems: my machine was like a hot plate not a laptop when it has been completely unfolded in a cool room: about right to mention briefly without getting hurt. (And my data is still inside of her, if it is not melted...)

  Well, unlike a laptop where you can remove the hard drive, these tablets are pretty well fixed and specifically your case, (it will not explode or catch fire) is to locate the device next to an air conditioner or a blowing unit to blow fresh air into the vents.

  At this point, press on and hold the volume button upwards and at the same time, press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds, then release it.

  If you can get it to feed and at least screen troubleshooting, see if you can get the machine to run in safe mode.

  If you can get to the desktop, you can down all your data by opening the file manager, click on 'This computer' and open the 'users' folder, go to your account name folder and copy all the files on a USB key.

  It is the only way to get your data out of these tablets.  You can't have the SSD card to remove it to try to force the machine to run at least once.

  Now, I think that your machine is still active, just overheating.  Get off in any case data.

  A RESET and reinstall updates are the only thing you can do.  I have the i3 model myself and am on it now and no problems with it.  Some games will heat, but never to the point that everyone is a report.

  If all fails, send the replacement machine.

  I don't think you can do this via a command line... You can look at the API, but if you don't have APEX in production, you mean that you have your APEX in Production environment set to read-only, correct?

• Deploying Applications multilingual in run Mode

  We are looking to start using a runtime of Apex for our Production environment.
  
  Evrything works fine until we try to import a multi-language application.
  
  I wasn't able to find anything in the documentation that explains how import/publish the second language in run mode.

  Hello

  Make sure that you export the application multilingual from your workspace and the execution of PROD environment are exactly the same.
  They MUST have the same internal ID, also called security_group_id.
  You can check this by exporting the two workspaces and comparing internal ID in the export files.

  With the same ID workspace, you also have to keep the id of the application even if the language mappings are removed during the installation.

  Since you have not yet improved, then I second Michel, skip PT8.50 and go directly to PT8.51. 6 patch was released last Friday, it should now be a production ready version of Peopletools.
  As we said already, make sure you close the compatibility matrix within the layer (client server OS, OS, database...) as well as the level of your application.
  In addition, in accordance with the plan presented during the last Oracle Open World, Oracle will release a new version of Peopletools annually, this means at the end of 2011, the PT8.52 goes out - stop patches on PT8.50, it would be a shame to be already two versions behind later.
  You are also able to test it for free without too much effort, by deploying the latest model of Peoplesoft LMOS HCM9.1 on Peopletools 8.51.02.
