App Catalog & memory

While I was trying to download the updates to a couple of my apps and the app store continues telling me that I don't have enough memory and remove an application.  I have a 6.3 GB available according to the info on the device.  Anyone know any patches for this?

You might want to try just to reset the unit. Access the info from the device. icon and scroll down to the bottom. You want to be a botton resets. Hit that and select the top reset everything first. So try it. If this does not work then try the next partial erasure. This will remove your PIM data but leave any application you have installed yet on the device. Your PIM data restore when you put it in your Palm profile connection. If none of this solves the problem, you will need to do a full erase of the device. This removes all data and applications, and set the device back to factory settings. If you have installed quite a few apps. This could be the cause. You can save your applications of the portion of the aircraft (USB) memory to a PC before making the full erase operation.

    When you set the App Catalog on my Touchpad, I accidentally typed the screen & don't even know country, I chose!

    How can I find out which country has been selected and cancel it, if necessary? Thank you?

    I don't know how to check the country, but I don't know how to reset. What you have to do, it is to remove the TouchPad of your HP webOS account and then add it again.

    To do this, head to http://www.hpwebos.com/account and login with your account HP webOS. You will see all your devices listed next to each of them a 'Device Options' button. Click on this button, then select 'delete my account '.

    After that, your device will reset. Make sure that you choose to keep all the data. Then, log back in to your HP webOS account and you should be able to choose the country again when you access the App Catalog for the first time.

  • App Catalog: application installation fails after doctor

    I own a Pre3 and I did the app update catalog certificate on time last year.

    Two weeks ago, that the e-mail application went weird. He reported my new messages as ever and showed them in the list but it have not download the body of the message and he could not send emails. There is no error message.

    I therefore decided to take a visit to the doctor.

    After you apply the webOS doctor, log into the account of webOS went well. After having returned the e-mail password, e-mail went to normal operation. So far; So good.

    Unfortunately, the app catalog refuses to re - install the apps. The journal says:

    I can install third-party applications via Preware without problems. I went through the procedure of doctor three times, twice I did a full cleaning before. I also tried the trick date to avoid the old certificate problem despite the fact that he said that the new cert would survive a reset of the device. Nothing helped.

    What should I check? What can I do to revive the catalog?

    How to access the app catalog? the user guide begins with 'open the app catalog' and I don't see any icon that looks like they show.

    The app catalog is on the second page of the Launcher.

  • Brand new Veer does not update the app Catalog or something else

    Got a new at & t Veer (it was already unlocked), after have logged you in my existing profile, the phone came, but the App Catalog, has not been able to update itself as well as other applications.  Some of the suggestions in the forum to change the date to July 1 and force the update via the App Catalog, but it did not.  Clear and reset the phone, still didn't work.

    WEBosdoctor'ed the phone and it still has not installed the update (failed).

    Call in the experts to see if there are any other technique not too complicated to solve the problem.  WebOS is 2.1.2.

    I have seen one that required some hacking of level intermediate directories for reset the certificate, but a bit too risky for my basic skill level.

    Thanks to the efforts of SideshowBob84, we have a solution to this problem.

    Despite the solution published HP to change the system date to 1 July 2013 and
    Download the update from the App catalog and install it, it still doesn't work.  It may have previously
    worked, as others have pointed out, however, since September, it appears something has
    changed and this solution is no longer valid.  Perhaps the server certificate has been
    compromised regarding WebOS and not corrected since.  HP may not be up-to-date
    of the problem.

    However clever mind in the WebOS community have a solution.

    When an update or installation of the App Catalog is requested, that a ".ipk" is downloaded.
    and then installed on your device, then the international prototype of the kilogram is deleted in your download folder.
    Very clean and hygienic when it works correctly.  When it's not as here all the
    evidence is erased, and we do not know what happened.

    GMMan, created a process and a patch that comes in the installation process and
    keeps ipk so that it can be installed by PreWare.  In this case, we want to download the
    Update Catalog App, but when he moved, we use PreWare to the action.  Times

    patch is applied all downloaded ipk is kept, you should not use Internalz Pro
    delete installed and no more need ipk.  A small price to pay to get your App
    Catalogue working again.

    Java 1.6 - minimum for WOSQI to work.
    In your search engine, search for 'Java 1.6' or 'Java 1.6 jre"to download Java
    the Oracle company.

    Your PC or laptop - WOSQI works on Windows, Linux and Mac.  I personally found
    that it does not work on PowerPC Mac, it's that you can't get Java 1.6 for these computers.
    And on PC Windows 8.1, I don't think that pilots Novacomd works on this version.

    Now, the real work begins.

    1. install Java on your workstation.

    2. If your Veer is messed up, restore it back to factory using WebOSDoctor condition.  Good
    on screen instructions.

    3. launch your device and complete the activation and the Palm profile process.
    The AppCatalog update will fail, but it's OK, we'll fix it later.
    Once your device is running, put in Developer Mode.  To make this entry
    the Konami code on the home screen.
    Type the code as shown: "upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart". It's a bit geeky,
    but it works.
    Alternatively, you can type in, "webos20090606".
    You'll be put in the screen in developer mode, slide the switch to on to activate
    Developer mode.
    You can disable it later once you have applied the update to the App catalog,
    using the same codes.

    4. start WebOSQuickInstall (webosquickinstall.jar).

    5. attach your device to your workstation.  Once the workstation is aware of your
    device WOSQI will also recognize your device. You should see the name of
    your device in a drop-down list in the WOSQI.  Your device will also ask you
    If you want to connect with a USB device or charge your device.
    Select, load your device.

    6. There will be an icon on the right side of the WOSQI window that looks to the world
    attached to a hose.  Click on this icon and it will open a new window with
    several tabs.  Click the Applications tab if it is not already active.
    Search for Preware and Internalz Pro.  Install these two ipks.
    When these ipks are being installed, it might want to install other required
    packages.  Allow installation of other packages.  Once completed,
    Close the window and you will be current with the main window.

    7. now, look for an icon to sign more.  Click on it and it will open a finder window.
    Locate the NODELETEIPK. PATCH file that you downloaded previously.
    Let WOSQI install and apply the patch.  After that WOSQI applied the patch,
    the sheer can restarted.  YMMV.
    Then, for the update, set the date of your system on July 1, 2013
    via the application Date and hour.

    8. you are now finished with the steps in the workstation.  Remember to well to eject the
    device before you disconnect it from the computer.

    9. When you look at the menu of your device, you should see PreWare and Internalz Pro.

    10. then open the App Catalog.  Search for 'App Catalog Update.  Install the
    Update. It will probably fail, and it's OK.

    11. open Internalz Pro and navigate to the following folder location,.
    / Media/Internal/downloads.  You will probably see a called ipk,
    com Palm.app.appcatalogupdate_2.0.0.IPK.  Open the ipk.
    When you open this ipk, it automatically calls Preware
    to install the ipk.  When this is done, the App Catalog should be
    fully functional.  A restart of the swing may be required.

    12. reset the date system is automatic.  You should now be able to download
    the App Catalog programs.

    13. Notes, with the patch in place, you need to occasionally clean the download
    folder for managing storage.

    14. you're now back to a functional State of WebOS!

    15. you can uninstall the NODELETEIPK. Your device to help PATCH
    WOSQI, using tool/Device Management.  I had not done that, so if you are
    success, let us know!

  • Impossible to download app from Palm app Catalog after update to 1.3.5.1

    Everything else works great.  I synchronize with an exchange server, and everything works except the ability to download apps from the app store.

    I updated yesterday morning on my way to work and it was only last night, I bought a pay for an app and tried to download it, it would fail.  I get charged by palm for her.  Soon, I got my recipt for it. In any case its details. Since it was the first app I bought the program had connect me to my palm account and add my details of payment etc... With successful, it me back to the app, said now download for free.  I click on her and she flashed a second with the app download and then returned to download for free.  OK before suggest you a stupid procedure I checked for the program to see if it was downloaded.  She had no, no not in the list of software not just anywhere on the Palm.  I called support and had me dance at a snails pace for repair tasks that I already... After 30 minutes, he said that he could afford to elevate to the next level... I could not download any free applications unfortunately they were busy and I was to receive a call back, which was 12 hours ago... OK, I was also in communication with the developer of the program.  I asked it there a way to look at this, he did he contacted their support person... It is said that it was a problem of system with the app store only... I say BS, as I bought three of these phones, I was the only mine updated and when you test other phones that they had no problem.  I also did some research forum outside and discovered that a lot of people have this same problem.  a helpful person has proposed a process to solve this problem, in my opinion, he was the resident expert forum.  the answers were why we would all have this surgery for a new phone.  I just got this day before yesterday and yesterday updated, nothing else installed...

    OK can someone tell me if it's can be corrected or does wait for another update of palm.  in the meantime, I go out an application that has already been paid for. Can anyone help?

    At this point, you should see a big white USB logo on the screen.  Now you can release the volume up button and continue to run the WebODS doctor.

    They say that when performring this all of your apps, music and any filoes on the USB key will be ereqased.  I found that not to be true, that all my ringtones custome origins were always intacked, even the free Pandora app was still there... Save your pesonal files even when...

    After all my accounts resynced, I went to the app catalog, and once more I couldn't dowenload my apps. : )

    So alls well ends well... Even if I was able to catch my return Palm, I wish plam support would be a little better on the job and educate front line on the way to explain procedures... (sigh)  I hope that I have never recalled the support...

    I am happy with my palm again...

  • Why have we not 'Forums to Support Palm' application in the App Catalog?

    Whenever I have a problem with my pre, I reached my computer to access this forum. It's my bridge here, why don't we have an application (like craigslist) for the "Palm Support Forums" in the App Catalog?

    Pre is a multitasking phone and he can handle, I can't really compare pre to any other phone for this feature, . My point here is while browsing in a map, we can apply these settings in the other window/plug.

    Anyone think it's a possibility in the near future?

    djsbox3, you can try erasing the unit and from anywhere with a different account of webOS, but it is a risky move. Since you have no apps purchased, you would not lose a large part of an investment, and if you have been to synchronize your personal data to a cloud (like Google) service this info could easily return.

    There are some users reporting difficulty creating new accounts of webOS here, it's as well as one obstacle, I'm worried about...

    Keep trying to add my info so that I can buy apps.

    Key points - I use a VISA who supports the site

    I know I entered information correctly - I do it 100s of times.

    I get this message-

    I simply made a PARTIAL ERASURE - thinking that might solve the problem.  No luck - the problem persists.

    New - try to add information of credit card to the app catalog - no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Yes on the latest version.

    I tried a partial deletion, and he accepted the info.

  • Go to Veer in Pre3: false App Catalog

    I just upgraded my HP veer to a HP Pre3. Both devices were bought in Germany and activated using the same SIM o2 Germany and the same profile of Palm/HP.

    The sheer, I had access to what appeared to be German App Catalog. On the Pre3, all prices paid for most are now listed in dollars instead of euros and I can not find apps like "DB Navigator" or "Bahnfahren".

    While the phone number, phone model and IMEI of my profile Palm/HP for the Pre3 and SIM card in use, the device name is 'of Stanley HP Touchpad", which is apparently wrong.

    Is it possible to access the App on the Pre3 German catalog?

    BTW: On a second Pre3, which is used as an upgrade to a Palm Pixi Plus, with a different Palm profile and an another Germany o2 SIM card, upgrade everything went well and that the Pre3 has access to German App Catalog. The device name of this Pre3 is empty when you view online Palm profile.

    With the help of admin Anachronistic the problem is solved just and now I have access to the German App catalog!

  • The APP catalog keeps breaking

    I don't know why, but App catalog returns with "unknown error" every time I do a search. I'm running wireless via a captive 3 G connection so maybe it's a question of wait time. But it's annoying.

    I think you're right - it's a problem of 3G, not the app catalog itself - so apologies to HP for this.

    It was working fine yesterday all about 3G and worked OK last night when I got home too.

    No device

    Hope that I write this instead of right.

    I can't open my books through Adobe.  I had my tp for almost 2 years and I've never had this before probelem.

    Once I hit the icon he constantly says "loading files" and nothing appears.

    Also, I can't open the app catalog. Once again, never had a problem with it before, now it tells me that I need to connect to a network, and I am connected.

    Help!

    Have you tried to reboot the device?

    Access the app Device Info, click the button 'Reset Options'.  Click "Restart", and it will restart.

    Unfortunately, it takes a credit card for app purchases, Visa and Mastercard are accepted in all countries. Blue card is also accepted in France, and electron is also accepted in the United Kingdom.

    I would recommend that you are looking for in a prepaid credit card for your purchases of the app catalog.

  • Bug: Lack of applications in the app catalog

    My wife and I got the last week of the GER.  Love them.  I actually had a hero for a while, but he didn't resist his pre.  Only one problem: it has applications in its app catalog that I did not.

    I searched and navigated to gDial Pro, Twee and some other applications on his phone, but they will not be displayed for me.  Any ideas why Miss me the apps?
