  You should be fine - if you check the specs on the adapter block label (this may require a magnifying glass ), it should list the tensions of acceptable entry which is uaually between 100/110v to 240/250v.

The problem is I bought them off eBay and when I opened the sidewalk I saw that the area, while the new, open and not expired, is marked for sale in Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Islands only. I have not yet opened and could probably go back if they don't work, but it was in the hope that they would be. Can someone tell me if I will have to revisit the issue of whether they will work?

• Why Windows high contrast doesn't work anymore since Firefox 29 and the theme of the Australia?

  In firefox, 28 and all versions before that when I had Windows High Contrast active firefox would also be in high contrast. This would make black Web pages and all the text would become white. Because of my disability which makes it much easier for me to see and walk through it. Since firefox 29 and the introduction of the Australia theme but it seems like a high contrast in windows is no longer supported by firefox. That's why I went down to firefox 28 in order to be able to navigate as I used to.

  There is a hidden value that needs to be modified in two places:

  Go to Options > content > fonts look and colours, click on 'Advanced' > uncheck allow sites to choose the fonts and colors
  AND
  Click on ok and the color... on the content page > uncheck the allow pages choose own colors other than above. Make sure that the background is black and white choice policies.

  Under windows if you have high contrast mode, please also try "use system colors".

  I've now updated to Jelly Bean. Forthose who cannot get their a510 updated here is why. You must first upgrade to the last image in the ICS. The version of the image that I was on has been Acer_AV041_A510_RV10RC03_AAP_AU. * How to check the version of the Image of your A510? Path: [parameters]--> [about Tablet]--> [version of the Image] If you have the same image as above then you haave upgrade.

  Select your Tablet model

  Then select the OS tab towards the bottom of the page.

  Download the Acer.AV041.A510.RV28RC08.AAP.AU. This will download a zip file. In the zip file will be 2 files one will be instructions on how to upgrade.

  Once you have upgraded to the last frame of the ICS and the Tablet has restarted after a little while you will receive a message in the lower left area of notification that a uprade system is available. This upgrade is Jelly Bean.
