• Set up a home network on a Vista computer. Added my XP computer on the network. I can go on the internet but the signal strength is 'very low' 98% of the time.

  I'm sorry, but I read your post and I do not understand what the problem is you want to solve.  Is something that does not properly?  If so, please give us the details: what you're trying to do, what happens when you do that, the text of the error messages, etc.

  A1264 models are fairly cheap on eBay these days and would be an inexpensive way to add music streaming capabilities in my set up.

  It's pretty ridiculous that I spend nearly $1000 for 128 GBSpace cannot save the call history or my SMS messages. Why didn't Apple has added these features yet.   I've implemented a Time Machine Network, adding a TP link Extender to get signal from my office where the router from BT's home. I also checked the comments option and also the hidden network too in the House, however I don't see the option comments - what Sky does not recognize.

  What Hat I did wrong?  I have a spare homehub5 BT - can I use it as a spare router in the House to boost signal more?

  Basically, the 'Comments Networking' function only works with Apple mobile networks. You cannot extend this network with a non-Apple as your TPLink device.

  In your case, you would need another time Capsule or AirPort Extreme to extend the network of comments.

  Nice to hear that you have a work around. Looks again an I/O problem with your mouse and most likely, his driver.

  I had problems with my Logitec cordless, although not like yours and set point, replacing the Generic MS impressed. I suppose that Apple has similar.

  Return to the drivers MS InteliPoint (on the PC), it seemed to take MS two versions, to get things fixed. Then, generations later, same questions and even once, two versions later, things have finally fixed. You may only live with one driver generic for a bit, if this is the cause, and Logitec will fix things. Sorry I know so little of Mac and interpolate between it and the PC, and my Tween may well be totally turned off.

  PS - It's back on the side of the PC of the street, but many issues of I/O, you can do this little dance - go to Device Manager (Apple should have similar) and delete the mouse. Restart and let the operating system to find the mouse. Then (and unfortunately), one is presented with several choices here:

  • Choose driver (usually in a drop-down list)
  • Insert the disc
  • Search the Internet

  To do this, I have to "Choose the driver" and find a generic in the list, to be tested.

  IF... you have the right type of modem..., it is possible to configure AirPort Extreme to have a 'hand' and 'guest' network

  The 'primary' network will work on wireless and wired devices.  The network of comments works with wireless devices.

  So, the bottom line here... What is the brand and model of your modem?
