  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in: extended image printing time

I work in a center of art and we always print pictures from the internet and stored images to use with our classes.  We have 2 8600 photograph printers and both extremely slow.  It may take up to 3-4 minutes to print a picture.  We also have a Dell PC that has no problem printing in a reasonable amount of time for the size of the image.

I tried affecting the project settings & directly connecting to the printer and have had no success in reducing printing time.  Someone had this problem?  My next step is going to be uninstall and start again if none of you have an alternative for me.

    Hey @MCM1,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that your two printers of HP e-all-in-one Officejet Pro 8600 printing slow computer Mac OS X 10.8. However, they print at a normal speed of your Windows System. I would like to help you today with this slow printing problem. Because printers print well to a Windows system, I don't believe that this problem is the printer hardware or connectivity related. I think rather than the print driver or incorrect is used on the Mac OS System X 10.8. Or, there may be a conflict occurring on the Mac printing system. Therefore, I will ask you to perform some standard Mac troubleshooting for this problem. Can I please you follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Check of driver:

To start I have to confirm that your Officejets HP using HP driver and not the generic Apple Airprint driver print.

    1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.

    2. click on Print & Scan and then check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.

    3. click on the name of your printer, click the sign minus (), then remove the printer.

    4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer.

    5. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu. Ensure that the Officejet driver is selected and not the Airprint.

    6. click Add to add the printer to the list.

Once the printers have been confirmed as using the correct printer driver, please test printing an image. If the slow printing problem continues to occur, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Reset the printing system:

Please click herefor instructions on how to perform the reset. When the site opens, follow the steps under "Reset printing in OS X Lion system" that the steps are the same for Mac OS X 10.8. This Reset deletes each printer on your Mac. However, it does not uninstall printers. Therefore, if use you other printers on the Mac, once the reset is complete simply make sure printers are attached via a USB cable or connected network and (+) add hide them po do not return in your HP Officejets currently Add.

Once the reset is complete, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Uninstall the drivers and software:

Please click here to find out how to properly uninstall your printer. Once the site opens, follow the steps in step 1 and step 2, depending on how you originally installed printers.

Once the uninstall is complete, please continue on.

Step 4: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

Step 5: Check the Apple updates:

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select software update
    4. Click update now
    5. Install your available updates
    6. Computer restart

    Step 6: Install devices:

Please click here to download the latest package full feature software and driver for your printers. Once the download is complete, follow the prompts on the screen to install the HP Officejets. Once the installation is completed successfully, please test print to confirm that the slow printing problem has been resolved.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 e. problem scanning scanning and Capture App Win 8.1

    OfficeJet Pro 8600 e.  New.

Installed on HP Envy touch 23. Running Windows 8.1.

Wireless set in place. Fine prints.  Problem is the digitization of the HP scanning and capture the software App 8.1 Win

With the help of scanning and Capture App I can scan pictures very well.  They come out clear.  Scanning documents in GRAY has several bands/lines in gray on the entire page vertically running.  Scanning COLOR documents are very good.

Also, if I scan from the printer directly using the touch screen of the printer, the output of scan is fine.

I did the Scan utility to discover any errors and it show everything.  I think it is a software error.  I'm going to uninstall the HP scanning application, and then reinstall.  So, I'll do the uninstall/reinstall and accountable.

Also, I would like to know if there is a program of office for scanning?  I prefer to use it instead of the modern HP Scan and capture App.

    Thank you...

    Hi artrum,

I understand that you have been scanning your Officejet 8600 problems using the program window of scanning and Capture. I will certainly do my best to help you with this!

What you explained, I think: you're right, it seems that it is only a problem with scanning windows and the Capture program and as you could scan from the front of the printer you certainly have the HP software installed. I want to make is that you use the HP scanning software, where you must run is no longer in question.

To access the HP scanning software and be able to access it easily from your Office I would like you to follow the steps below:

1 go to your start screen and just start typing File Explorer. You should be able to open it then to access the files on your computer.

2 then open Local (c) disc, followed by Program Files (x 86), followed by HP, then HP Officejet Pro 8600, followed finally by bin.

    3. in the bin folder, you should see HPScan. You will want to right click on HPScan and go to send to, and then select Desktop.

Now, you should see HP Scan on your desktop and be able to open and browse this request.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

    Hello

First, make sure you have the latest firmware installed as follows:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8600-plus-e-all-in-one-printer-series---N911/4322915/model/4323647/document/c02919168/

    Then, try the following:

    1. Of the printer, click on the right arrow / left and press the ion of the configuration of the printer.
    2. Select Network Configuration.
    3. Select direct Wireless Configuration.
    4. Ensure the Direct wireless is enabled and take one step of his password if such a value.
    5. Click on the WiFi icon from your Mac and connect to the SSID 8600 spirit "live / Print" in its name.
    6. Go to System Preferences > print and scan and click on the plus sign to add the printer - you see it listed as Hello via the direct wireless connection?

Please let me know the results, if it not listed as Hello with Direct wireless, which clearly show that the new router interrupts the multicast connection, this is the same as the connection through a different router.

On your screenshot, it seems that your router do not transfer packets to multicast to the need...

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 - Macbook Pro and Macbook Air does not print

    Products:

    • HP Officejet Pro 8600
    • MacBook Pro (Mac OS X, Version 10.7.5)
    • MacBook Air (OS X, Version 10.8.2)

    Question:

    • Why my Mac initially print fine, but now will not print?

    Full article:

I have a wireless network in my house that consisted of a 30 MB cable internet, Netgear 900n, HP Officejet Pro 8600, 2 laptops from Dell with Windows 7, a laptop Lenovo with Windows 7 and Dell with Windows 7 trick, all printed matter very well.

The HP Officejet 8600 was added to my network about 2 months ago.

I added a Macbook Pro and Macbook Air about 3 weeks ago.  The two Macs printed fine for about a week.  Then suddenly they stop.  I spent about 2 hours on the phone with HP's Service, and finally, they said to my router.  So I called Netgear.  NETGEAR was useless!  They wanted me to accept fees for services before they would even discuss the issue.

As a result of information provided by the HP support service, and because Netgear will not support their product, I quickly bought a new router - an Apple Airport Extreme.

Macs will recognize the printer will print if connected via a USB cable, but do not print wirelessly on the Officejet Pro 8600.  The fine impression CPA.

The frustration that is felt is made up by the fact that Macs printed very well with the Officejet Pro 8600 2 weeks and now the printer shows just "idle"... even with a new router. (see image below)

Please help, thank you very much for all support.

As a side note, the representative of the HP Service was very friendly and definitely tried to support the HP product, which is much more I can say about Netgear.

    Thank you

    Hello

More likely a problem with Multicast, which Apple devices are relies on to communicate with the device through the network.

First try unplugging the router for 30 seconds.

Connect to the power supply and wait 2-3 minutes.

Turn off the HP printer and turn it back on, then check all difference.

If it persists, try to change the configuration of your router as follows

Note: the settings below are not related with the HP product, I provide you with the steps as a best efforts and those based only on my own knowledge. You can try to change the settings of the router at your own risk:

    1. Open the router configuration page (you'll find listed as the default gateway by clicking the icon on the printer wireless, then print a network configuration report.
    2. Click the Advanced tab.
    3. Click the configuration option in the menu, and then click Setup WAN.
    4. Be sure to uncheck the box Disable IGMP proxy transmission and apply the changes.
    5. Click on the LAN configuration on the same Setup menu.
    6. Set the RIP RIP-2 Version and apply the changes.
    7. Restart your router and then check any change.

I hope that you will find useful information, you can also use the guide to the user below for more information:

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus Scan quality issue

    Hello

I just set up my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, and everything seems to work properly.  I am really disappointed by the quality of the images so, so I thought I'd see if anyone has experienced the same problem?

The scanned images are very dynamic, but are too.  Detail is lost in the scan either because the brightness, or because the scanner is not properly using the resolution I have him ask to scan (600 dpi).  I have tried various different brightness and contrast settings in the scan dialog, nothing helps.  Printing HP and Scan Doctor reported no problem.  Increase the resolution of scanning on the 8600 is not helped either.

I joined a segment of an image of the 8600 and a lot cheaper all-in-one I expected to replace, a canon mp630.  I have bought the 8600 because the scanner component had good reviews, but based on my experience, that I'm starting to have my doubts!

Please let me know if you think there's nothing I can do to improve the quality of the scans?

    I use Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit.

    Thank you

    Pete

8600 scan 600 dpi (Note lack of paper grain)

Canon MP630, 600 dpi (capture of paper grain, wash the details)

Unfortunately, I must point out that the replacement was no better.  It's a real shame, old flat scanner HP I was replacing with the ACM was high quality, but the Pro 8600 scanner was simply not enough good.

Ultimately I exchanged for another manufacturer MFP that produces a large part analysis better (even if printing is not as good).

I had much rather have paid more for a higher quality scan on the HP, but this option is not available to me, which is a shame!  On the 8600 Pro scan color reproduction was great, but there not only to capture the details.

You can adjust for color problems in the software, but if the detail is not captured, you can't put it in!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 not giving orientation options when printing photos from the main tray

    Greetings, all.

I searched this issue, but I have not found anything, so this is:

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8600 911 and an iMac (21.5 inch, end 2013) running OS X 10.9.2 Mavericks.

The problem comes when I try to print a photo 4 x 6 from the main drawer - in the print dialog box, the image is oriented the wrong way on the preview. No matter if I rotate the image or not, it does a perpendicular orientation. In the print dialog box, there is no orientation option to change from portrait to landscape or vice versa, even if

I checked the software update of the Mac and the Pro 8600, but there is nothing available.

I am pleased to learn that the Preview will allow you adjust orientation, at least, we know that this is possible. Apple is the one controlling the features such as that within the application. Click here: view contact information of apples. Apple Support Forums are also available here:

  • Automatically create color PDF can not deposit Officejet Pro 8600 Plus

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 Plus and an Apple OSX Yosemite iMac running. I installed the full software from the HP support site, and in particular the analysis of the HP is version 4.4.1 (21).

I want to create a color PDF directly in a file on my computer to the scanner.

If I select Save as PDF, I get a b & w image in a file that is automatically created.

If I select print daily scan opens in HP Scan and I am able to create an image in color, but with additional steps.

I looked at other similar topics in 2012 and 2013 and saw advice to change the mode in HP utility/Scan to computer/change Scan tasks/editing, but there is no option of color Mode.

Finally, I figured this out. It CAN be done.

Go to HP utility/Scan of the computer.

Make sure that enable Scan to computer is checked.

    Select Edit analysis jobs

    Select Save as PDF/change

In the presets drop-down, select generalist

In the section move the items from the Finder, you can also specify the folder where the scans will be saved.

Saved color, managed directly from the printer scans on my iMac. Sweet!

  • "Scan To E-mail" configuration on HP Officejet Pro 8600 more N911g

It's the same problem reported by several other users of this forum to which no solution has been provided.

I was not successful to set up the scan e-mail option for a HP Officejet Pro 8600 more N911g bought 12 August 2012 and using CLP1CN1150CR firmware.

I'm trying to do through the interface of the Web server built into the printer from an iMac running Mac OS X 10.6.8 and the 5.8.0 HP utility.  More specifically the page under 'outgoing Scan-> Scan to E-mail-> e-mail profiles.

I tried 2 SMTP from different servers, each one works well to send the email from the computer: Apple iCloud mail service (formerly Mobile Me, formerly known as.) Mac) and AT & T Net messaging service.  I checked the server name, port number, and authentication login and password were all correct.

When scanning to email serves as the printer, I get an error message: unable to connect to the server.  Check the address and the name of the server.

During a test of the computer when configuring a profile of outgoing mail, I get an error message: the device was unable to send the test e-mail message. (EmailAccounts-timeout).

When I try to configure the page under "Settings-> E-mail Alerts-> mail server" and use exactly the same values as those in the e-mail profile out above, registration and Test option fails with an error message: the device was unable to send the test e-mail message.

Oddly enough, I am able to use the client to the computer with the option scan to the computer-> e-mail in PDF format or by e-mail in JPEG format.  With this option, the file is scanned and added as an attachment to an e-mail message from the Mail in Mac OS X client.  The e-mail message is sent via SMTP server even when I press the button send.

All the error messages seem to indicate that the client software of electronic mail of the printer is unable to establish a connection to the SMTP server.  However, it is unclear what configuration setting is one that could be the cause of the problem.

After further research, I noticed that there is another default possible values of port Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP):

    • Port 25 is the standard SMTP port number.
    • Port 465 is the number of SMTP over SSL, Secure SMTP (SSMTP) port.
    • Port 587 corresponds to the port number dedicated for a presentation Mail (MSA) Agent that uses a variant of SMTP, as specified in RFC 6409, which requires that clients are authorized and authenticated to use the filing of mail service.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more print but not scan

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 and I use Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) and it print and copy but will not scan. I had a hell of a time trying to get this thing to scan - I even spent an hour and a half with HP technical support and they could not fix it and finally gave up and call me Micro$ oft said that it must be a windows problem (Windows is up to date, incidentally).

I tried to open the scanner software and nothing happens when I click the icon - the loading icon flashes for a second, then only the mouse pointer. Nothing happens if I try to boot from all programs. Nothing happens if I try to scan to the computer of the other printer told me the failure of sweeping and that there could be reasons of severalpossible (unrelated, software used, etc.).

I have installed and uninstalled. A couple of times he was having trouble with the installation, but finally got it connected. Once it would not uninstall in Control Panel until I did it directly from the HP folder. I connected it by USB and wireless. I installed the version of bloatware. I cleaned that out and I tried the only version of drivers. The HP support person had me go and removed a bunch of stuff in the registry. I tried to run as an administrator. Nothing works. I even tried to scan using Windows Fax and scan. I disabled Kaspersky and made sure that my firewall is turned off.

I am at my wits end with this and certainly regret my purchase at the moment. Help!

Hello, it happens to the analysis of Windows (WIA) and generates an error:

"The Windows Imaging service does not work... If the problem persists, you will not be able to scan using the applications that use this service, such as Microsoft Paint. Scanning software HP could still work. »

It asked me to restart, and then re-run the diagnostic tests, but I got the same result.

Then, I jumped to HP Scanner Twain and got another error:

"The Twain component is not working properly because the product is used by another process. Save your work and close all applications. Turn the product off, turn it on again, and then click on restart and repeat the test. »

He told me then the problem persists to uninstall the software, then reinstall the Full Feature software (I did, but available).

    * EDIT

Problem solved!  After you had me run the diagnostic tool I googled the WIA problem and found that many other people had the same problem. A person has a response from Micro$ oft saying that it was a Windows 7 issue and how to fix it - this is the text I found:

-> > right WIA-> properties-> tab dependence, check the services of name listed there.

It must contain the following services:

    * RPC remote Procedure Call

-> > DCOM Server process Launcher

-> > RPC end point mapper

    * Detection material core

Make sure that all of the above services are started in the services list.

Last time, we started the Detection hardware Kernel, which solves our problem.

(Andy, it's important.  Choose "Detection hardware Kernel ' and start this service which should start your 'Windows Imaging Acquisition '.  If it does not then select WIA and change the departure to "automatic".  This fixed my problems) after all dependency services start, please try to start, WIA service to solve the problem of .

(For those who are doubtful with computers, like me, when you click on the start icon, you can type services.msc in the box of research programs or click on run and type it in there). Once inside the list of services, you can look at the dependencies by right-clicking on the Windows Image acquisition service and selecting Properties. Take note of these dependencies. Then back to the main list and watch to see if these dependencies are started. My Shell Hardware Detection says disabled, so I right click on it; However, starting selection is grayed out and I couldn't select it from the drop-down list box, so Startup type I selected Automatic, apply, close the Services window and then started my Scan software and presto, it worked.

Thanks for setting me on the right track!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: what is error 351 for HP Office Jet pro 8600 all-in-one

I can't send or receive faxes on my HP Officejet Pro 8600.  I get a 351 error when I try to fax.  Can you help me?

Here is the solution for error 351 and causes:
Cause 1: the remote computer did not a command to fax on the local computer as the connection has been lost. These errors can occur if the phone lines in the region to be faxed are old or there is noise (static on the telephone line). Other reasons can include power outages and other problems related to food.
Solution: New attempt to receive faxes when telephone line conditions improved. Call phone provider if the driving conditions fail to improve.

Cause 2: The call waiting service can cause this error. The "click", heard a call incoming, is actually a momentary break from the line.
Solution: Disable the ECM. Errors might still occur and could lead to a degraded on the received page image quality. However, the ability to send the entire document will be improved.

Cause 3: The remote user pressed the Stop key while the reception was underway. In rare conditions, incompatibility between the two machines could cause the remote machine to abandon the call.
Solution: Try to send to a lower bit rate.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600: Scan - disable the 'Save' button with MAC OS 'SIERRA '.

    Hello world

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 installed in a Macbook pro.

After having upgraded to Mac OS Sierra (10.12) 'Save' button in the HP scanning software is now disabled when the save screen appears. Save documents are possible using the 'Test' option in the menu "Preferences".

It worked fine with the latest version of 'El Captain'.

I've searched for scanning HP new version for Mac OS Sierra, but nothing.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

    TKS in advance.

    Hello
The HP scanning application is not compatible with Sierra, so you may experience problems.
Remove the HP scanning by moving it to the trash, then empty the trash.

Instead install HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed in the Applications folder:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/installations/Essentials/HP-easy-scan-1_7_0.pkg

If you experience additional problems, ensure that the latest version of the software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:
    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/OSX/applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Finally, make sure that your drivers are up-to-date by clicking the Apple icon, select about this Mac and then press on software update.
Click on the Bank on the menu bar, click Reload Page, click all update if an update is available.

    Kind regards
    Shlomi
