• Apple Loops and tempo (distortion)

  Hi, I am really desperate to try to find a solution to this problem. But it seems that no one knows the same thing.

  I just purchased Logic Pro X. Im using a macbook mid-2014 race 13-inch pro retina El Capitan 10.11

  The problem is really weird. When using some Apple Loops loops and change the tempo of my project I get these really annoying audio distortions on the loops.

  I do a lot of original audio loops tempo change. The best example I can get is changing 128bpm (which is the tempo of the loop) at 130. Or 125 to 130. And I get this kind of flanger/distortion. Don't know how to describe it exactly.

  Some loops that I use are:

  -Jazz trance Beat 02

  -Garage atomic Beat 01

  Someone knows a solution? Or anyone having the same problem?

  You have successfully updated to 10.2.1 LPX?

  I tested these two loops by dragging them into a new project, speeding up the tempo up to more than 150 and back again... and heard nothing unusual...

  There is always a small amount of audio artifacts as you are speeding an audio file (the process requires some audio data jump/compression...) and not a MIDI... but again, nothing, I would say, approached distortion...

  I plan to replace an old mac pro with intel xeon 3 GHz dual core or quad (maybe from 2009 or 2010) and slowly upgrade by adding more RAM, sound card, and video, etc. (I won't change the logic board)

  Computer will be used for the games, but especially for a music with logic studio Pro X (requires OS X El Capitan)

  as you say you only have two choices, keep the macbook pro 13 "or replace with the older generation of the Mac Pro, I would say 13-inch MacBook Pro can almost do anything even the latest generation! since low-votage and integrated dual-core process just crappy graph, I don't really think its meet your needs (Audio Studio, game)

  So for you its might be interesting to replace it, but you may need to do the following to make the old gen Mac Pro more "usable".

  -Add the Ram, I remember its only accepts DDR2 ram (I think, not really sure, I have never had one of that), but get at least 16 GB of this and will be allowed to use the same sound only DDR2, you need measure the cost dedicated to Rams

  -Add the USB3.0 card. I didn't say more on this right? USB2 is somehow too crappy for now, if you need measure the cost of the USB3.0 card.

  -Probably to replace the hard drive, its massively improve loading speed if you have a fusion drive or an SSD, its depends on your own needs, if you want to do, then you need measure the cost of training you want to buy.

  -Replace the graphics card, its origin have something called AMD X 3100 or wat, really, remember its all just too old even glance at her age. and return at the time its totally new, it is not the series of cards that have the intention of game.   That's essentially all you need to do if you decide to replace your MacBook Pro 13 "with the Mac Pro, the major concern is the cost of parts, other that neither that complex, just to the top, find open port, insertion/replacement material, FACT, USB3 card possible to require a driver, but all you have to do is click NEXT.

• LogicX 2.2.3: The loop library is in the directory of apple loops, but it does not appear in the browser

  I tried to re-indexing and dragging, but nothing happens. I also tried tweaking permissions, removing .txt in the apple loops index file - as other solutions I've read in the Apple community, but still no loops in the browser. Someone had this problem? I'd appreciate the help.

• Updated Garageband for Mac - impossible to find all the Apple Loops loops

  Hi, a few days I've updated Garageband for Mac. Assume that coming up with 2600 apple loops and allows for live lines to use.

  After the update, Apple Loops the loop browser said I don't have that approximately 1900 ++ loops. Where are the loops? Not sure I missed all the steps.

  Have you downloaded the new loops and sounds using the command from the menu bar main GarageBand ' GarageBand > SoundLibrary > download all sounds available?

• Installation 10.11.6 El Capitan with 10.6.8 Snow Leopard on old Mac Pro 4.2 multiboot?

  Looking for savvy here advice...  I have an old Mac Pro 4.2 (cheese grater) that runs Snow Leopard 10.6.8.  It is a wonderful workhorse machine, who served me tirelessly for many years.  It is obviously older and slower, but works very well.  I love 10.6.8.  If Apple ever updated the Mac Pro line (I know, probably not... sigh...), I'll buy one and replace this machine.  Until then, I keep doing this work.

  This machine is a beast, has been upgraded with internal hard drives 1 TB three (he also got a couple internal HDs inherited from 750 and 500 MB used for storage).  I have also several external 1-4 to, hip, FW800 drives too.  A host of storage, of course, and should be a lot of options to start on several systems.

  I am generally satisfied with 10.6.8 on this machine, although there are obvious limits to that.  I would get one or two operating systems newer on it, pick-and-choose between them according to the needs, but I absolutely want to/need to preserve the ability to initiate and run 10.6.8 systematically as my operating system on the day the day, at least for now.  Maybe I'll warm to one of the others on this machine eventually, but 10.6.8 must remain usable, install a newer OS on other readers may not nerve there.

  On a year-and-a-half ago, I took a race to install 10.10.3 Yosemite on one of the internal disks.  This doesn't quite work.  I moved, sniffed Yosemite everywhere, don't really like it a lot and went to restart and him switch back to 10.6.8 for a bit.  Initially, it was impossible (from less than I expected, would be the same old process, I have always used, via system preferences > startup disk).  You can read the details of this experience here and more here if you are interested.  This latest attempt to get Yosemite on this machine was a very negative experience.  Yosemite is still there on an internal HD, but I tried not to boot on it since then.

  Now I take another look at this.  What is the engine now, is that I want to update my iPad Mini 3 iOS 10.  But that (update of an iDevice iOS 10) requires iTunes 12.5.1.  And iTunes 12.5.1 requires Mac OS X 10.9.5 or newer - it won't work with 10.6.8.  I'm looking for my options.

  Right now, I have three large internal HDs: HD #1, 2 # HD and HD #3, each 1 TB.

  HD #1 has 10.10.3 Yosemite on this.  I started from this time and have not resumed since.

  HD #2 has 10.6.8 Snow Leopard top.  This is my main operating system and startup of daily drive.

  HD #3 is nothing special about it.

  Although HD #1's Yosemite about that, I have only started from this disc once and hesitate to go back, at least until I can get a way easy and reliable to restart off HD #2.

  I understand that I can also get 10.11.6 El Capitan.  I thought that installing on HD #3.  That sounds like a reasonable to add option, but again, I want to make sure it won't cause problems to switch back to start off HD #2 in Snow Leopard (such as installation of Yosemite on HD #1).

  What is the best way for me to go about safely - preserve the option to start easily in 10.6.8 on HD #2?

  If you start or restart now Option (Alt) key and calls the Startup Manager, you should be given the choice at the start of any boot disk OS X on any of the readers.

• Old Macbook Pro is offline for a year

  I have my old Macbook Pro that has been offline for about a year. Because he got a new and because I was sent, and then I thought I lost my charger. I found my charger and got it running, but all the keys Apple are outdated and I can connect to the app store to update.

  Hi all, I just splashed the money and got myself a new mac book pro, without the DVD player.

  Now I would like to transfer all my stuff from my old book of mac pro, the easiest way and fastest possible.

  while I was in the store to spend my money, the guy told me that I can do by connecting two computers together via Firewire/stroke of lightning and using Time Machine!

  I have an adapter Firewire/Thunderbolt and a Firewire cable :-)

  But I would like to have someone, somewhere to point me in the right direction so that I'm not kidding, I did it this way before, are there details step by step anywhere please, I don't can find any info anywhere else!
