Apple nylon watch band
I got a 38mm watch Sport by Apple as a gift. I went to the Apple local store yesterday and asked to see the bands nylon. They showed me a tape that was Gold/Red in color with a gold buckle (my watch is aluminum gold). I wanted to buy this watch band and I was informed that that particular color Strip and the loop are only available at the time purchased (the watch). The band of gold/red which is available in store and online has a silver ring.
I don't understand why this band cannot be purchased after the fact. If you have the opportunity to buy a watch with this band of color, why this band can be purchased at a later date? As I mentioned previously, this watch is a gift so I could buy a particular band.

Combinations of case and the watch band that exist together as an initial purchase are not necessarily completed by bands available separately (IE if purchased as a separate accessory).
The same principle applies to the colours of PIN for Apple Watch Sport bands.
