  I bought a new iMac to replace an old MacBook Pro.  Rather than a Migration Assistant, I opted to do a fresh install of things since the MBP had years and years of junk on it.  In any case, of the MBP, I downloaded the very large library of Photos to iCloud (which eventually took more than two weeks).

  On the new iMac, in pictures, I checked 'use iCloud' and ' download origiovals full resolution for this Mac. "   Now I see in the preferences in pictures (on the iMac), it now says "DOWNLOAD files 13 500 to iCloud.

  I'm confused by the present, since there is no native picture on the iMac, then what, exactly, he's trying to do? All photos should not be a descendant of the cloud, does not extend to it?

  Whenever you open a library to use with iCloud photo library, the Mac will download and compare all the pictures with iCloud.  He will try to avoid duplicates and probably succeed.

  If you have already invested a lot of work in your library on the MBP, if you have created projects - book, calendars, appointed the faces, it would be better to copy the library. The names of faces will not iCloud, also download your books and calendars will be missing.

So an Internet Explorer security warning came to ask me if I wanted to run so I Run clkd.  And then a screen telling me that iCloud Panel requires the computer to be running Vista or newer. My operating system is XP so I Clkd OK. Then the previous screen reappears again saying "iCloud Panel 2.1.2 for Windows.  I have clked the download button and a screen comes up saying "file download security warning. Do you want to run or save this file "iCloud Set up Exe download Apple.com Support." I have clkd Run. Then a creen sppears saying "Internet Explorer security. You want to run iCloud of Apple Inc."I have clkd Run and another sppeared screen saying"iCloud Control Panel requires Windows Vista or later." I have clkd Run and another screen appears with the following stmt. "iCloud control panel installation completed.  Setup encountered errors before iCloud Control Panel can be configured. Your system has not changed. To retry these operations at a leter time, please run Setup again. CLK finish to exit the installation program. " I have finished clkd and I tried a few more times to install the program, but to no avail.  My question is this.  Is it possible to download the photo stream of iCloud to a computer with windows XP as operating system or do I have an Apple ID and iCloud?       John W

  It seems that I can not transfer all my photos to iCloud. Only those taken with an iOS device are transferred, while photos taken with my Canon EOS camera are not. Can anyone explain that?

  Please start by telling us your 'My Photo Stream' and "iCloud library" settings on all of your devices. (Settings > Photos & camera on your device iOS and Photos > Preferences > iCloud on your Mac)

  Please also indicate if there is no activity current synchronization on any of your devices (includes download, update, download, or preparation).

• Photos of ICloud loading only photos taken with the Iphone.

  Apple TV 3rd generation, does not load pictures that have been uploaded to Icloud Photos on PC.  They appear on all my other Ios devices, iPad 2 and Iphone. Have signed in and out of the Icloud several times, enabled and disabled photostream and photos of Icloud.  Only 12 recent photos taken on the Iphone appear.

  If you go to www.icloud.com are the pictures that you don't see on the appletv shown here?

  I just got my new MacBook Pro MF 839 model, I'm new to Mac. I see in the details of storage that my space is being neutralized by the Audio (1.67 GB) and Photos (909.7 MB). Please see screenshot for more details.

  I want to know that where these files are and how I delete these files, because I unchecked option iCloud and photos in iCloud defining (screenshot attached).

  I checked my local music and pictures folders, nothing is there, so confused em where these files are and how can I make this clear. I'm worried because I have 128 GB of total storage.

  All that files get users-> folder (aka your "home" directory).

  There are folders for music, photos and documents - surprisingly just like in Windows and all the other OS on the planet :-)

  Navigate to these folders and start watching. You will learn a lot. 2 GB of things is essentially nothing.

  I would like to by a good book on using Mac OS: these are quite fundamental skills for any computer.

  I have iCloud photo library on my Mac and on my iPhone.  I created an album of photos and videos to spend several weeks going apartment hunting in my neighborhood.  I have friends who are also looking for apartments in my neighborhood and these photos and videos would be useful for them.  So I want to share all these content with them using iCloud, photo sharing.  However, I have this great set of photos/videos over on my Mac or my iPhone, because I have an apartment and my use for these photos.

  So I want to:

  1. create a shared album (let's call it 'Videos apartment').

  2. Add all my photos and videos of my apartment hunting that is currently in my library to iCloud.

  3 share only iCloud library with my friends (they can add, comment, do what they want)

  4 delete the original files from my library to iCloud I don't don't need or want these photos over on my personal devices.

  My question is: if I delete the photo in step 4, which will also remove the same pictures of the iCloud Shared Library?

  It would be useful to know if the iCloud share photos are copies separated from my photos of the library, or are the same.

  You take screenshots of your Apple Watch, you do this by pressing the button and the Crown at the same time, some people can do this without knowing if their watch is located too low from their arms and close their hand when the hand is bent towards the rear.

  You can have your photos on iCloud without any problem.  Lightroom CC 2015 is compatible with mac, please check system requirements of Lightroom CC 2015.   I have trouble understanding how to get the 5 500 + pictures and videos that are on my Mac App Photos on my iPhone via iCloud photo library, without the need for iTunes. Is this possible or should I return to the synchronization of photos in the Photos app on my iPhone via iTunes?

  I ask because of the 5 500 + photos on Photos app, only 389 are on my phone. I read what parameters must be on, I read almost all of the articles on this. Without running into the boring generic Apple written article of how they work together seamlessly etc...

  My settings are the following (updated as I was typing): on my iMac, I have in the Photos App preferences, iCloud library checked with the possibility to download the Original to this chosen Mac because I have tons of space for her, no problem. I have my photo stream checked and I have iCloud Photo Sharing checked.

  On my iPhone, my settings are the following: iCloud library is on, with the possibility to optimize iPhone storage selected. I download on my photo stream on iCloud and sharing photos on as well.

  My goal is to have all 5 500 + pictures and videos on my Mac App Photos on my iPhone via iCloud, however to optimize the pictures and videos on my iPhone. Is this possible? Am I missing a step?

  UPDATE: quite possible, I might be a bit impatient lol I see the number of photos on my iPhone more. Although slow as * but growing. However, I would like to know if I put this in the right seat with the settings I said. However, I organised the people Album on my iMac, this exact organization should not be reflected on my iPhone via iCloud or are they two different infrastructures that should be organized separately using the photos I upload to the cloud?

  Yes patience is a virtue - the initial download to ICPL is slow (my photo library 7000 took ten days) and until the downloads are completed downloads do not occur and accounts are flawed - keep the devices on and connected to power as much as possible, and to set the Mac don't not to fall asleep

  Looks like after you have reset your iPad of air you can't see your film or photo stream.

  This is the case if you use iCloud Photo Library.

  Recently download successful my 14 000 + photos to the iCloud. They all appear in iCloud, my iPad and iPhone. However on my 2nd-3rd generation Apple TV the iCloud photo stream show only 303 photos. How can I put all the photos on my Apple TV? My library is on an EHD and another Time Machine backup on my iMac, and with the home sharing, all photos are available on the Apple TV.
