iPhone 6s more stuck in the mode of the brick after downloading ios10. Cannot restore via iTunes. error 3014

After the update to ios10, my 5s iPhone seems to work very well. I reconnected it to iTunes and then it bricked, and I panicked.

iTunes synced a couple of times, it took about an hour and a half for me. After that it stopped its cycle of synchronization, I unplugged my iPhone - it still bricked. I then did a hard reset and it worked.

Maybe I got lucky, maybe my iPhone and iTunes need a kick in their buttocks.

After restoring my ipod classic 4th generation 40 GB to factory settings via itunes on my pc the message plug to the charger to complete came I did it, but all I get is a picture of a charger and power socket, but it will not charge or do anything else

The 4th generation iPod requires the connection to the USB adapter that comes with it to complete the restore process.  Another adapter Apple, like the one that comes with the iPhone or iPad, should also work.  Non-Apple power adapters may work fine for regular charging of the battery of the iPod, but often do not work for this particular use.  If you have a Mac with a FireWire port, and you have a FireWire cable, you can also get past this step by connecting the iPod to a FireWire port.  It is a peculiarity of design iPod 4th gen.

  • iPhone restore via iTunes or iCloud?

I just got my iPhone SE yesterday and the need to put in place. I prefer to start fresh, but I understand that this is not possible if you have an Apple Watch and you want to maintain your health/fitness data - you have to perform a restore.

I did a restore to iCloud, but it takes forever. My phone did the initial restoration part and I use the phone, but almost no apps are on the device (all off) and there are many who are partially installed - the small animation of pie is done percentage.

Also, for the control of certain items to oneline to this topic, I went to settings | iCloud | Backup copy. He said briefly restored my device, but now it doesn't, and the rocker "iCloud backup" has been changed to off. I did not touch anything on this page or stop the restore. I tried to turn on the backup switch, but the switch has been deactivated - may be normal in the process of restoration?

However, if I go to iCloud. Storage | Manage storage, it shows my new phone and said "backup options will be available when your iPhone is restored from the backup."

For example, a screen confirms at least than a restore happening. Also, when I'm on my home screen, the circle of spinning next to the WiFi icon is spinning, indicating something is happening, but he did this for hours and he made no visible progress.

    So, my question:

    1. I'll be patient and let it continue?
    2. Should I just wipe the device, plug it into iTunes and make an iCloud restore from there?
    3. Should I just wipe the device, plug it into iTunes, and do an iTunes restore - I reinforced my old phone twice before it - encrypted iCloud and iTunes.

Thanks for any help. Everything is on iOS 9.3.2.

    Numbers 3, from iTunes.

I always prefer to use encrypted iTunes backup. It seems faster, not dependent on the vagaries of Internet connection speed and you can also synchronize immediately.

Backups do not include the apps and all but the most recent photos. They must be synchronized and downloaded again, so I leave the iPhone plugged into the USB power.

  • is it normal for a restoration of a 5s via itunes iphone to take over plant 5 hours?

Problems with my 8 month old iphone 5 s with sound.  Apple Tech told me that it is still under warranty, but just to make sure that it is not a software problem, to do a restore to factory via itunes.  I started it over 5 hours ago and he went "on iphone software update" (took 1 h 30) to the 'preparation restore software' (3.5 hours and more) and is not spent one more.  I have a lot of pictures on my phone, but only a few applications, so this seems like a ridiculous amount of time to me. And my phone has all the latest updates on this topic.  Is this normal?

No, it shouldn't take five hours. Definitely not normal.

Take your iPhone at the Apple Store.

  • How can I download the backup on Mac and then restore it via iTunes?

The STRP to restore stuck on "remaining time: estimation...» "So I would like to download the backup on my Mac and then restore it via iTunes.

This can be caused by a corrupt existing backup that should be deleted, or data on the device that causes the backup fails.  To resolve these issues, try to clear your last backup (if you a) by disabling the iCloud backup in settings > iCloud > storage and backup, and then press on managing storage, type on your device under the backups, and then click Delete backup.  Then go back and turn iCloud backup and try to save again.

If it don't always make a backup, you may have an app or something in your camera roll which causes the backup fails.  To find one, go to settings > iCloud > storage and backup > manage storage, tap the name of your device under backups under tap Backup Options show all Apps, turn them all off (including film) and then try to save again.  If the backup was successful, then the camera or one of your applications is originally the backup fails and you must located by the process of elimination. Turn on the film and retry backup.  If it succeeds, some of your applications to turn on and try saving again.  If it succeeds once again, turn it back on a few apps more then try; Repeat this process until it fails.  Finally, you will be able to locate the app problem and exclude from your backup.

  • Cannot restore Apple TV 4th Gen in iTunes

So, just got a new 4th Gen Apple TV and not been impressed so far.

I have unboxed product, hooked up to my TV to see that it is in Chinese.  The remote is also inadmissible.  I can press the Menu and Home of the SIRI remote simultaneously, and which will restart the Apple TV, but Menu and button fail to re-pair the remote control +.

After reading the forums, I thought that maybe the answer has been to try to restore through iTunes.  So I went to search the town for a USB - C cable (hard to find, by the way).  Finally found the adapter and then had to buy a $27 usb transfer cable plug of the adapter on my Mac.  With high hopes, I followed the outline on the Apple Support page for the restoration of your Apple TV from iTunes, but more problems... Unfortunately, iTunes can't find the Apple TV.  It never appears in the upper left screen.  I have unplugged, replugged, flip flop cables... Nothing.

I checked and am running the latest version of iTunes on El Capitan.

Does anyone have a way for me to hack this thing and reset it?  I read that you can try to control it with an old Apple TV remote to restore so that addicted to television, but I do not have an old Apple TV remote (I put in a call to a friend who has a well and hoping that I can borrow him soon).  I called Apple Support and they shipped me a new remote to try, but hope I can find a way to fix before he gets here.

It has been one thing after another with this device.  Very frustrating.  Hope that this is not a new trend for releases of apple products.

    Suggestions are welcome!

The only other option would be to take it to Apple so that they restore it

  • An error occurred installing iOS 10 / can't update via iTunes

I have the same problem as many others displaying without finding an answer. My iPhone 6 has not been able to update since iOS 9.3.2. The obvious solution is updated via iTunes, but when I try it, iTunes says "this version of the iPhone (9.3.2) software is the version current." iTunes is up to date. I am running Mac OSX 10.7.5.

Please suggest a way to update my iPhone.

    Hi benbencaro,

Thank you for bringing your problem of update for Apple Support communities. From your post, I gathered that you tried to update your iPhone 6 to 10 IOS through iTunes, but you can not. I have an iPhone 6 as well and I was very happy to upgrade to iOS 10. I'll be happy to help you with this.

iOS 10 requires iTunes version 12.5.1, which is available on Mac OS X versions 10.9.5 or later. You want to upgrade to El Capitan. Before the upgrade, it's always a good idea to save the Mac with Time Machine. The following items go on the means to backup and upgrade of Mac OS X.

Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac

Update of OS X El Capitan

Then, once you have upgraded to El Capitan, you will want to run the software updates from the Mac App Store. This ensures that you get the latest version of iTunes version 12.5.1 on your system.

Update the software on your Mac

Once you have set iTunes to update, connect your iPhone to your Mac and create a backup on iTunes (if you don't have one in iCloud) then you can upgrade to the new iOS 10.

  • iPhone 6 s - 100% carbon copy backup/restore to iTunes - is that possible?

    Hello

I am trying to find a way to save/restore an iPhone via iTunes installation so that the restoration of places any return on the phone with the same configuration (essentially, an exact clone of the original installation that is being backed up).

Questions that I met with attempts to use iTunes for backup/restore:

    • Passwords and other security information do not restore.
    • Applications not getting restored
    • WIFI networks not get restored
    • attached randomly do not restore (some, not all).

iCloud backups solve this problem (sort of).

    • It takes an internet connection takes too long and medium, and you are left without a phone can be used for a period of time, so that the restore process is complete. I'd rather do it via iTunes.
    • Passwords and other security information do not restore.

Any help please? In the end, I'm looking for a way to backup my phone to a PC and restore it so it looks identical to how it did before the backup.

For a long time (perhaps in the iPhone 4/5 days?) this process described above works, 100%. Apple changed something in recent years.

    Thank you

    Bob

The backup does not contain music or apps, because they should be in the media library iTunes on your computer, and if you synchronize right after that the restoration of the backup is then reinstalled. Normally this is done automatically when you perform a restore if you not to interrupt.

Passwords and health data are only saved if you choose encrypted backup.

There is no way to make a backup "image" of the phone, but if you use Encrypted and let run until the end, that it will restore everything the way it was.
