Apple Watch automatic unlocking on MacOS Sierra

I use an iMac of 2014 with MacOS Sierra, a 5 iPhone with iOS 10.0.1 and a Apple Watch with watch 3 installed OS. I also have a password on my watch, authentication both active and running as well surrender. I don't know why, but the icon to activate the unlock with the Apple Watch is not shown on my iMac.

In addition, when you enable two-factor authentication, I've changed my iCloud password but not my unblock, I think. I'm not sure, something strange.

Any idea?

Thank you.

  • Automatic unlocking with Apple Watch active but expire

I've activated automatic unlocking on my Mac (Macbook Air 6.1) successfully, I had my first gen Apple Watch upgraded to watch OS 3 and when I opened my Macbook, it says «Unlock with Apple Watch...» ». After a few seconds, however, I get a spinny wheel thought and then it expires and I get the password prompt. I tried to restart my Mac and my watch, but don't know what else to do here?

As far as I know I have everything set up properly - 2-factor authentication, the right operating system, the hardware supports, but it just times out. Anyone have any idea why this could be or a potential solution?

I need help here.  I'm on macOS Sierra on a MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, end of 2013).  I actually had auto unlock with my Apple Watch two days ago.  But then I did a stupid thing yesterday and had to restore the MacBook OSX Maverick and re-upgrade to Sierra.  I can't activate longer auto unlock with Apple Watch now and it's really frustrating.

  • Unlock Mac Pro with Apple Watch

I just downloaded the new OS of Sierra and have the newest OS on my iPhone and watch.  I tried to set up to where I can unlock my Mac with my watch, but can't seem to understand. Everything I read said I should check the box that says allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac. in respect of the security and confidentiality under general. Only problem is that I can't find such a thing anywhere... Any suggestion would be great.

You're supposed to open preferences system (on your MacBook), go to Security & Privacy and then check the box that says "allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac". And it has not worked for you?

Is your Apple Watch under the same Apple ID as your MacBook? If not, this is why it does not work. Otherwise... I don't really know.

  • Apple Watch questions

    Help!

I have two problems with my Apple Watch and no doubt they are related.

#1 problem: I can not pay Apple to be set up on my Apple Watch series 1 (old shows).

-C' is my Apple Watch alone, and the only one I've ever owned (work watch OS 3)

-J' I have set up my card with my Bank and have successfully used today in a store using Apple pay on my iPhone 7.

-My app to watch on my iphone has, under general, my Apple ID listed with no opportunity to tap anywhere on the Apple ID screen but watch just my email associated with my Apple ID account address (nothing else).

-J' tried to restart my phone and shows it by turn off

-My card linked to my wallet and Apple ID appears on my app to watch on my iPhone when you look under the folder Wallet and Apple pay my watch app on iPhone. It has a button "Add" in orange. I click on this and it brings up a box saying "could not configure Apple pay - year error occurred while setting up Apple pay." You have to click on 'OK '.

-I can only assume it is because it is an unreliable device or requirement "two-way authentication." If this is the case, I can't find how to set up a two-way authentication on my Apple Watch trust.

Problem #2: I can not set up the Apple Watch to unlock Sierra iMac or Macbook of Sierra.

-My computer has been set to unlock with Apple Watch. I finished two-way authentication (with the exception of the above question to authenticate the Apple Watch (in the list of devices is showing as not reliable because I can't understand how do).) Still can't unlock the computer.

Help, please. I really want to solve.

Two-way authentication is not required to set up Apple pay on the Apple Watch. I do not use it and did not have my paycheck from Apple set up on my watch. To test, I typed on Add to one of the cards in my phone, and all asked that the WB was he adds immediately. See this page from the start Apple Watch user's Guide. http://help.Apple.com/watch/#/apd76424826d

You have an authentication code that is defined on your watch? This Apple Support document is more in the instructions of depth on-site Apple pay on all your devices. Set up Apple pay on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or a Mac - Apple Support

    Hope this helps.

I'm sorry, I'm not a Mac user, so I could not address the issue with the help of the watch to unlock the computer. I've seen a number of discussions here about it, you can do a search on the forum for the past two days since the release of Sierra for more information.
