Apple Watch wrist pain

I bought my Apple Watch mid July 2016 and thereafter wear a few weeks noticed that my wrist was really painful. Now, I have so I assigned to whom, but have not had my wrist hurt like this over the years. I went to my other wrist and had the same problem.  I decided to store the watch for a few weeks and my wrist has been hurt, and when I tried the same new problem of watch.  Needless to say, I'm really disappointed as I really like the watch.  Any suggestions as to why this is happening or how to stop it?

Hello

If you feel irritation or an unpleasant feeling on the skin around or under your watch, Apple recommends that you remove your watch and see a doctor / physician before wearing again.

Discomfort or skin reactions may be the result of various causes, including:

  • Allergies (such as nickel);
  • Prolonged exposure to irritants (e.g., SOAP or the sweat);
  • Environmental factors;
  • Wear the tape too tight or too loose.

    Hello

    So that the wrist detection works correctly, it should certainly not necessary to wear your watch too tight. For best results of this and other features, on the back of your watch must be in contact with your skin. The right fit must be neither too tight nor too loose, with room for your skin to breathe:

    The sensor performance may be affected by the changes as some wrist tattoos permanent or temporary skin.

    Otherwise, the following steps may help:

    • Make sure the wrist detection is open: on your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > General > detection of wrist.

    If the problem persists, I suggest you contact Apple Support (mail service may be available) or make a booking Genius Bar in order to have your watch checked and, if necessary, repair under warranty:

    Hi Billie

    If you experience a rash, swelling, itching or irritation any discomfort on your skin around or under your watch, Apple recommends that you remove your watch and see a doctor / physician before wearing again. Skin reactions may be the result of various causes including:

    • Allergies (such as nickel):
      • Parts of some bands of Apple Watch stainless and magnets strips contain some nickel.
    • Prolonged exposure to irritants (e.g., SOAP or the sweat);
    • Environmental factors;
    • Wear the tape too tight or too loose (for example causing friction).

    Irritants can do skin reactions more likely if found between the watch and/or tape and your skin. Keeping your watch, strip and clean, dry skin can maximize comfort and prevent damage in the long term of the watch. It is particularly important to do after workouts or exposure to liquids that can cause irritations of the skin.

    If you are concerned about a potential manufacturing defect with your watch band, contact Apple support (mail service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation to check warranty:

    Hello

    With wrist detection and active access code, make sure you wear your watch sufficiently well adjusted. If it is worn without too much shake, your watch may believe that he had been removed from your wrist, leading to this lock automatically:

    Performance of the sensor can also be affected by temporary or permanent changes on your skin, such as certain wrist tattoos.

    Hello Russbude!

    Here are the instructions that you need to follow in order to allow the ability to unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch. I will also link to the Apple Guide which are instructions, in this way, you will have access to the manual for future reference. Good luck!

    Unlock your Mac with Apple Watch

    If you have a Mac (2013 or later version) with macOS Sierra, your Apple Watch can instantly unlock your Mac when he wakes up from his sleep. You must be connected to iCloud by using the same identifier Apple on your Mac and Apple Watch.

    To use Auto unlock, you must have a password for your Apple Watch - open settings , type the password, type activate password on, and then follow the instructions on the screen.

    Turns on automatic unlocking. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, and then click general. Check the box "Allow your Apple Watch unlock your Mac". If you have not enabled your iCloud of two factor authentication account, follow the instructions on the screen, and then try to select the check box again.

    For more information about two-factor authentication, see the article Apple Support for Apple ID two-factor authentication.

    Unlock your Mac. If you wear your watch, wake your Mac - no need to type your password.

    Tip: Make sure your Apple Watch is on your wrist and unlocked.

  • How do you communicate with the Apple Watch

    How do you communicate with the Apple Watch

    Hello!

    Welcome to the Apple community. I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say "communicate" with the Apple Watch, so I'll give you a few options that can respond to your request.

    (1) the Apple Watch supports Siri, just like the iPhone and the Mac. To apply, simply say "Hey Siri" while the wrist is triggered, and your watch will respond. Alternatively, you can hold the digital Crown and Siri will be activated. As soon as Siri is activated, you can ask him questions such as "what is the weather today" or "reminder", or "Let's start a workout."

    (2) you can manually send SMS via your Apple Watch by use of Siri, or opening the messaging app. That Siri send your messages, just say 'Hey Siri, send a text < name >' and Siri will open the Messages app and wait to talk to you about your message. If you want to move the Messages app manually, press the digital Crown and will take you to the home screen. In the home screen, select the Messages app (a green icon with a word inside bubble). Any existing message log must appear, and you can type on a given message log and choose to respond.

    (3) If you want to place a phone call using your Apple Watch, you can say "Hey Siri, call < contact name >". If you have several numbers for a particular contact, Siri will ask you what number you want to call. You can also you can present a more specific request like 'Hey Siri, call < contact name >, < number >' with the number favorite is 'work' or 'House' or 'mobile' etc. So the demand go something like "Hey Siri, call Barbra, House".

    If you are still at a loss, with regard to the types of orders that Siri will accept, you can always ask. Say 'Hey Siri, what can you do?' and she will give you a list of commands that she will answer to the.

    If all goes well, I addressed your question. If not, please provide a little more information and I'll do what I can to help you.

    Good luck!

  • Apple Watch is unsent SMS (texting) iMessages only

    I try to send through Siri texting (sms). I managed to write the message, I see it with a blue buble, but underneath, I have a "DO NOT SEND" only and not a button 'SEND '.

    I realized that to send the message, I just need to ask my wrist and it should go, but it does not work.

    If I activate iMessage on the iPhone, it works (not always, but very well).

    So is it possible to send SMS messages (no iMessages) with a Apple Watch?

    Thanks for your response

    Yes, it should work without problem. Try disconnecting your watch and re Peel. Also you restart phone and watch

  • Auto unlock with Apple Watch does not

    Hello

    I followed all the instructions and advice of all Web sites without success, my watch is on my wrist, unlocked and the Mac cannot communicate with the watch, or when he's on the odd occasion that the watch is not open the Mac, I still have my password.  I have not matched and repaired the watch, and the new registered in iCloud, transfer off and on again, the watch, the 6s iPhone and watch are all connected to the same network still with no luck.  This should be an ongoing and easy process as most of the functions of apple, but it just doesn't work and it is the function that I was more enthusiastic in this upgrade of the software, feels a bit like false advertising if it's this hard to operate.  Can apple be solve this problem or can help a tech guru

    If the problem is that when you check the box "Allow your Apple Watch unlock your Mac" in security pref pane it breaks down and said that one cannot communicate with your watch?

    You have Bluetooth and Wi - Fi enabled?  If so, try to restart your Mac, iPhone and look, and check the box again.  Also sometimes if you just wait a few hours and try to check the new it will finally work.
