  The title says it all really.
  I try to use WinMerge, a program I've used for years.
  Now, every time that I throw I get say popup "want allow you the program following an unknown Publisher to make changes to this computer".

  I tried to use the application compatibility Wizard to solve this problem, and I managed to get to the pop-up window IF I run the program from the inside of the Act.
  But if I try to start the Dowes program I get the popup :(

  I guess I must be missing something in the law so that it works all the time.

  Any help/suggestions appreciated.

  This message appears when the application doesn't have an authority root certificate. These types of notifications can be disabled from user account control settings.

  CAUTION: Turn off UAC is NOT recommended
  • On the start menu, select Control Panel
  • Go to system and security > Action Center
  • In the left pane, select change user account control settings
  • Drag the button scroll never notify
  • Click OK to save your settings

  OPINIONS: UAC can avoid potentially dangerous applications to make changes on your computer. Disable UAC would disable the feature for all programs and not for a specific special application.

  I try to install Dell AIO printer 924 on my computer laptop windows 7. I ran the application compatibility repeatedly, but it still has not solved the problem. I insert the printer installation cd, all hung, run the compatibiity application, and then start the installation of the workstation. The installation program runs through and then everything turns off its own, however nothing changes! I get no pop up windown, no message, and the printer is not installed. Help, please.

  I would suggest to go through the above steps:

  Method 1: Install the patch using it.

  a. to do this run the FixIt tool from the following links.

  b. click on the link below and select run now button.

  c. After you download and run for the first time

  d. Select run on window smallpop and select run on Internet Explorer-security warning window.

  It's quite rare here, but this statement is simply not true.

  If the method is supported in the version of the OS you can use it on all phones running this unit or a higher version of OS.

  4.7 is the first OS with the support of the key, and you can develop an application 4.7 (or higher) that supports touch and non touch devices.

  Of course an implementation of the onTouchEvent is not triggered on a device without a touchscreen, but it should be clear to everyone.

  Welcome to the community of Microsoft and thanks for posting the question. I've surely you will help find a solution on the issue.

  Here are some of the causes of this problem. See the steps:

  a. file is corrupted, bad or missing.

  If the flash drive is damaged or hurt it cause work programs to fail, either because not all data can be read from the hard drive the program is damaged on the drive. Run scandisk and defrag on the hard disk to check for potential errors.

  If you run the program from a shortcut on the computer, verify that the program is still on the computer. In some cases if the program is no longer installed on the computer, you can get this error.

  b. file is not designed for your version of Windows:

  
  If you try to run a program that is not designed for your version of Windows, you can get this error.

  Although many old programs designed to work in older versions of Windows will work with new versions of Windows, unfortunately, not all programs will not work.
  If the program is an MS-DOS program more former start program or Windows, you can get this error.
  If the program is designed for a 64-bit version of Windows and you are running in a 32-bit version of Windows, it will not work and generate this error.
   
   
  c. file is a virus, worm or other malicious program file.
