  • Is there a way to determine if an application is 32-bit or 64-bit?

Is there a way to determine if an application is 32-bit or 64-bit? To be more precise, I want to be able to determine if a 32-bit application is emulated under WOW64. I am using the function call library and selecting IsWOW64Process in Kernel32.dll file, but I can't seem to make it work. I think I can be implemented to false. I use a builder nodes and invoke for the process and after you call GetProcesses in the invoke node, I send you in a loop to inspect each process separately. Inside the loop is where I am using the function call library. What I read IsWOW64Process has a handle as a starter and a pointer to a Boolean value as output. I may be incorrect in what I saw several varieties of this appeal on the internet. I tried to set this up, but I can't seem to make it work. I'm looking for help on how to correctly use the library call or if someone knows a better way to do it, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the tips of Josh. The link that you sent me was, in fact, where I got the idea of what I'm trying to do. I figured out how to determine if an application is emulated this morning after further research and trial and error. I finally understand mine, but I appreciate all those who have tried to help.

  • Apple Application Support (32-bit) deleted, WIN 10, itunes 12.3.3

    Hello

    Maybe someone can help me?
Before you try this already found solution, I ask the questions, again, because of my OS and Itunes is not the same version as described in the solution mentioned down.

After installing WIN10, I cleaned my system and made a big mistake!
I removed Apple Application Support (32 bit) and just kept Apple Application Support (64-bit)
-on a 64 bit system, my way of thinking was wrong--

Now, I have NO error message, but itunes will be stuck to less still when I connect the iphone to the computer 6.

I try to avoid to uninstall itunes completely. (database large, with many playlists and all the songs with Board of the Album etc..)
Before him a. .m error itunes performed excellent.

Is the fixed failure with which describes the solution, without any loss of performance?

    Thanks in advance

    iTunes on a 64-bit system has 32 & 64-bit components.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review other cases and a list of documents to support further down the page, in which case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent if you have problems to download, need to revert to a previous version or try the version iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for the problems of performance or compatibility with third-party software.

Your library must be affected by these measures, but it is also related to backup and recovery advice if necessary.

The application is 32-bit app and it works fine on my windows xp (xp style display), but when I run the application on a windows Server 2003 sp2 x 64 it doesn't show xp style. The Dependency walker tool shows it load C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls_6595b64144ccf1df_5.82.3790.4770_x-ww_A689AB02 comctl32.dll, it seems that this is the reason why it shows old style b/c that v5.82 is the latest version in this win Server 2003 but in my xp there is a C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.2600.6028_x-ww_61e65202. so the question is to know how to show xp style for 32-bit application on x 64 windows Server 2003? It is able to repair this installation a version 6.0 or later x 86 comctl32.dll in x 64 windows 2003 Server? and if so how do I install the comctl32.dll file?

    Thank you

  • How to install Skydrive Windows application for 32 bit Win XP?

How to install Skydrive Windows application for 32 bit Win XP?

You do not have.  Like the Skydrive page will tell you, that Windows XP is not supported by the software.

  • Cannot install older 32-bit applications on 64-bit Vista...

I have several old applications I wrote VB3 - 6 and you want to install them on my new Dell running Vista 64 bit laptop.

Whenever I try to install one of these older apps, including Visual Basic (studio) 6, I get the following message...
"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are using.  "Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x 86 (32-bit) or x 64 (64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher.

As I wrote some of the original applications and I am unable to install VB6, or for other peoples software, it comes to the latest version available.

I tried to change the properties of the exe... tried to change the compatibility to XP SP2 and 98 and changing the Admin box too... no luck so far.

    2 - If yes how?

    Thank you

You can run most 32-bit applications on 64-bit OS; Anti-virus being a notable exception.

And Compatibility Mode does not work for all programs.

    Try these things:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/default.aspx

    Windows Vista Compatibility Center

First thing to do is to check its Vista compatibility at the link above, and if not to see what patches/solutions are available from its manufacturer...

If this is not Vista compatible, read the info on the link above.
It works for some programs, but not all.

This applies to software programs, NOT hardware drivers.

If it's Vista compatible > uninstall it > Re-download/save to your desktop > right click on the setup.exe > run as admin.

  • I'm under windows7 64 need the 32 bit version of firefox to run Adobe?

Tried to download the latest Adobe flash will not work, recommend to download your 32-bit version of Firefox? I am running Windows7 Professional 64-bit, yahoo mail and I think that Facebook came out with the 64-bit version? you point me in the right direction on how to sort?

There are two different versions of Flash, ActiveX for IE version and the version of the plugin used by most other browsers.

    1. download the Setup file of Plugin Flash version here:

    Adobe Flash - Plugin version.

    Save it to your desktop.

    2. close Firefox using file > exit

Then check the Task Manager > processes tab to make sure that firefox.exe is closed.

    {XP: Ctrl + Alt + Delete, Vista: Shift + Ctrl + ESC process tab =}

    3. then run the Flash configuration from your desktop file.

    4. run Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

    • On Vista and Windows 7, you may need to run the installer of plugin as administrator by starting the installation program via the context menu if you do not get a UAC prompt for permission to continue (that is to say that nothing seems to be happening).

The accident took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system setup may be incorrect, perhaps the culprit may be another driver on your system which cannot be identified at this time.

I would like an answer so that I can start playing games I watch movies and do not get a blue screen

I think that the best way to follow this on is to use a test called Driver Verifier tool.

If the tool detects a problem, your machine will crash again.  If all goes well with this permit, it will allow you to easily identify the bad driver.

    Enable the driver verifier
    (1) open a command prompt
    (2) type "check/standard/all" (without the quotes)
    (3) restart your machine.
    (4) use the computer again, until it breaks down (I hope it will be soon :)

After the crash & restart, go to safe mode.  http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/323ef48f-7b93-4079-a48a-5c58eec904a11033.mspx

    Disable the driver verifier
    (1) open a command prompt
    (2) type "auditor/Reset" (without the quotes)
    (3) restart your machine.

After that you have broken a few times, copy the minidumps on above mentioned same sharing.

  • A VB6 application does not work under Windows 7 (32 bit). Run-time error '339'.

Hello. I have a problem you're trying to start my program I wrote long ago on VB6. When it is run, it displays an error message: "run-time error '339': component ' COMCTL32." "OCX' is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. I searched "comctl32.ocx", but it doesn't seem to be anywhere in C:\Windows (including subfolders). Using this installation - first http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=10019 , then System File Checker do not solve the problem - the program still does not work and ' COMCTL32. OCX' is not found. What should I do?

  • Leak memory running 32-bit application in 64-bit Windows 7

I have an application that shows no signs of leaks memory (I am put on hold the berries of 10 MB and their queue to the file) under a 32-bit operating system standard.  Since then I tried to run in Windows 7 64 bit (as a 32-bit by using the 32-bit Labview runtime process) and incrementing memory noticed.

Program takes 300 MB of memory.  If I've save 100 MB of data in a file, windows 7 64 bit will show it as 400 MB of memory (under windows on windows 32-bit)?  I don't think it would be, but you never know...

Are there bugs in Labview 2010 regarding the queues of waiting and 64-bit windows?  I am tracking my use of the queue and is not increasing, so no real reason so that he can rise in the allocation of memory.

I started turning off sections of code to track down it and found it to be a function call that I had left behind (somehow).

Apology for a sparse description.  I found the problem and it was a creation that is hidden in a table in a loop every second or more (for example, rising constant memory), nothing to do with 64-bit related issues.  Problem has been solved!  Thank you all.

  • Running 32-bit Applications on 64-bit Windows 7

My operating system is 64 bit that I want to run 32-bit which program, what should I do? is it possible to run software to run on the 64-bit

Updated object with a better description.

Most 32-bit applications work fine on Windows 7 64 bit.

If you have an application that does not support Windows 7 64 bits, you can try compatibility mode:

See the developers website for compatibility with Windows 7 and if there are updates, corrections or difficulties that might ensure compatibility.

I tried to install it but when I run my application the following error message: "LWTCPJSOCKWNDYCLASS: MyApplication.exe - Application error - the application failed to start properly (Oxc0000142).

Is this a problem of compatibility with 32-bit / 64-bit?

If yes how can I do to make it compatible with this new PC?

  • communication of 64-bit application with 32-bit application on a PC?

In a project of image processing, we started using x 64 LabVIEW to meet our need expanded memory. However, in order to communicate with the production plant is integrated in the machine, we wanted to use a Profibus DP - COMSOFT PCI card, which is a no x 64 support yet. Since we try to keep everything in a PC we thought we might be able to get the feature Profibus-Associates running in an x 86 application to talk to the x 64 running simultaneously on the same PC. In this way, simply using VI server, us just transfer the data from one application to another and vice versa for interprocess communication.

    My first test was this:

    1. start a VI in x 86 instance of LabVIEW
    2. load the ref this VI VI in a VI in a x 64 LabVIEW instance
    3. identify the necessary element of the x 86 FP umpires
    4. read the values of the elements of x 86 via the property node

The two described screws are attached. The result is that LV x 64 receives an empty array of elements of FP of the VI x 86-load ref. What I also realized: it is not possible to transfer objects from an x 86 x 64 BD BD. This brings me to the conclusion that what we had planned does not work. At least not the way experienced.

Is it possible at least that it will work on 2 different PC? Or maybe the shared (local) variables are an answer (I have never used before)? Perhaps one of the screws must be transformed into an executable file to be able to distinguish between instances of the application of different. Advice on this topic are appreciated. Alternative: If someone knows of a material Profibus DP can be controlled directly through LabVIEW without the hassle of the OPC, which was x 64 support, please share your knowledge.

    Thank you very much.

    comrade, Berlin, Germany

    Dear comrade,

If I get the right idear, want to share data between LabVIEW 32-bit and 64-bit Version. Fortunately I have LabVIEW 2011 SP1 (32-bit & 64-bit) running on my Windows 7 64 bit. I think using VI-reference will not work in this case

I have prepared projects associated with your questions:

The first point that you mentioned is to dynamically load a x 86 - VI in x64VI: this could be addressed through the configuration of the servers-VI versions of LabVIEW, working on different network ports. Therefore you must determine your VI server settings (Tools-> Options-> VI server), for example data via the TCP/IP Port sharing your x 64 (x 86) for example: '3336'

If you call the VI by reference, you must also open an application on the server of VI reference and then use open VI VI reference to open the specific VI that you want to call:

Regarding the value of sharing of variables I would say to create the network publishes the Variables (VAN).
Here, you find a short summary on the help of LabVIEW network Variables: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361H-01/lvconcepts/ni_psp/.
In addition, I provided the link to a white paper that illustrates the use of network of Vars: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4679/en

The important is that until you can use the Variables, you must deploy them, so you have to right click on the lvlib in the project and say deploy all, demonstrated in the picture below.

If all goes well, it is what you are looking for?
