  • Menu Application in BB Desktop Software blackBerry Smartphones shows no components of system 7 OS and programs, only manually installed applications

9360 to 9720 switching has been a problem as my favorite BB apps that are part of the 7 OS like password keeper are completely absent on BB9720 after migration.

Some forums are suggesting to use the menu of the Application of BB Desktop Software to install/uninstall applications and components of the system. This does not solve my problem, only applications installed manually, are indicated in the Application menu.

Therefore cannot install or remove components of the system or programs like password keeper.

Old and new BBs were running latest OS.

Appreciate any suggestions that would help me with my mysery.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Sometimes the Desktop software cannot automatically find the necessary operating system... software and need 'help' along. The sub process should allow you to do.

The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

Now, if you have installed on your PC the exact same OS version you are running on your device, you should have all the available elements is displayed in the desktop software. However, if you have installed a different version of the operating system that is running on your device on your computer, the result will be probably an offer to change your device installed OS that you have installed on your PC... If this is the case, proceed with caution and be sure to first have a backup complete.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry Z10 Blackberry Desktop software

    Hi all

I'm waiting on delivery of a Blackberry Z10.  I currently have a Blackberry Pearl 9105 and I use the Blackberry Desktop software to keep it clean.  Anyone know it if the softare Office will work with the Z10, and can transfer everything all my contacts etc. until the Z10 out backups?

Your Z10 is not compatible with BlackBerry Desktop Software. Instead, it uses the new software called BlackBerry link. Once you have installed on your PC the link, the fire and it will allow you to transfer data from your bead to your Z10. Who is finished, you will use the link for everything concerning your Z10.

You will find the link to www.blackberry.com/blackberrylink .

  • Browser blackBerry Z10 Z10 - development tools. Fashion desktop & Disk Cache

Anyone with a knowledge of the Z10 would be able to explain if these options are for the ordinary user - like me?

I do not understand the function of "Inspector Web"... Yet, I am curious to know if 'Disk Cache' is necessary so that the updated data browser caching to save me re - download the content from a Web site whenever I'm revisiting or even to refresh a page.

Now, as far as I can see, "Desktop Mode" seems to ensure a full (non-mobile) version of site is loaded.

Is there something that I am missing?

Should I leave these parameters to the developers?

    Hello love.

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

The Inspector of Web feature was designed to help developers of mobile Web site to inspect the contents of the mobile Web site that appears in the BlackBerry browser.

Desktop mode allows the user to view the full website and not strictly the mobile version. However, some sites have rules different redirection for users to visit. With this in mind the desktop Mode cannot always redirect you to the full site.

The Disk Cache allows the BlackBerry to cache browser information from websites visited on the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone.

  • Desktop blackBerry Z10 Z10 sync Outlook 2013

I am considering buying a Z10 but need to synchronize contacts, tasks and calendar with Outlook 2013 desktop (not Outlook.com). Online, I've read that BB link disobeys. Is this possible with another application? It's a deal breaker for me - Z10 used to synchronize with Outlook 2013 desktop then the Z10 is a no.

It will make Contacts and calendar but used to do tasks.  CompanionLink make an app that will do the lot.

Wait... you mean you installed an update of the OS? And after that, this behavior started? If Yes, then the most common thing to do after an update which translates questions is to perform a reload of the OS. Sometimes the update process have errors and others... with a reload often cure the problems.

Official methods, which will be controlled as to what exact OS versions are available:

Non-official methods, which are cleaner and allow you to choose a version of the OS that maybe your carrier (or anyone they control your offers) delays in approval:

Of course, before you start this, you want a good backup link, a manual copy of the memory of your device to your PC and complete documentation of your configuration (identification information of account, adding applications, configurations, etc.). Sometimes, restoring a backup returns unit corruption even, must be eliminated and reconfiguration from scratch can solve that.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Remote Desktop Access denied

I have a new BB storm.  I have installed all the necessary software and signed (by VerizonWireless) to use my storm as attached modem.  Works very well, it is faster than my local internet service.  I have consulted several websites and am currently attached.  I can connect to VPN Secure of my employer, bringing to the top of the web page of the company.  I try to connect to my remote desktop, but I'm denied access with only a message from the administrator contact.  The VPN works fine if I use my WiFi System.  Technician work COMPUTER says that it is a problem of latency, the phone as a modem takes too long to respond to the packages and I need to get a map of the air.

The question is, is it good?  The sellers say that the attached modem and the air card work the same.  Does anyone know how to solve the problem.

    Thank you

    R. Dyck

I found the solution.  I used the name of the entire computer located under the information system.  HE couldn't explain why, but it works.  WiFi, I had only to put in the last six characters, but with the storm, I have to enter the entire address.  Not having any other problems and I am happy with my Storm.

  • Cannot start more Apple Remote Desktop

    Hi all

    All of a sudden I can't launch ARD 3.8 (A 380, 95) in El Capitan 11.11.4 more.

Whenever I try to launch it on one of my Mac, I get a warning telling me that he was able to start "because of an unexpected error" (The Remote Desktop software is not installed properly, or the computer may require a restart).

It affects all user accounts (so it's not a corrupt user pref) and reinstall the entire system through the complete installer does not help.

I can use the screen sharing app good...

After reading an old thread to similar problem (software Remote desktop administrator could not start) I tried to delete all the preferences and support for files following the instructions on the Apple KB page , but it did not help.

I also checked the Console, and it reports:

    22/03/16 10:02:46.888 AM Remote Desktop [5905]: OpenConnectionToAgent - cannot connect 2

    22/03/16 10:16:36.035 AM ARDAgent [6057]: libcoreservices: _dirhelper: 400: mkdir: path = / var/folders/zz/zyxvpxvq6csfxvn_n0000000000000/C/modes [2] = 0700: permission denied

    22/03/16 10:16:36.035 AM ARDAgent [6057]: confstr(3) on _CS_DARWIN_USER_CACHE_DIR returned an error.

That could indicate a problem with sandboxing, but still, I see WARNING similar to this one with different applications on different computers without consequences (I suspect the sandboxing allows logging quite talkative today). I checked the cache folder, he was referring to and did not notice anything on the spot or missing (comparing to another computer where work ARD).

If anyone has a suggestion... I would be eternally grateful

    Corentin

Of note... I had to replace the drive on the Mac recently and I wonder if it could be a kind of incompatibility of recording equipment. Not sure where that would be stored well and correct uninstallation of the application, following the instructions in the kb should have taken care of that.

  • Cannot open the alias "Microsoft Remote Desktop" because the original item cannot be found.

Running Mac OS 10.11.3. By clicking on "fix Alias... "does not set it. Afraid to click on "Delete the Alias" since I do not know where is the 'original '. I'm not good with computers, so if you have a solution, please explain as I am a child of 5 years. Thank you.

Where are you clicking when yo get this message?

First, look in your Applications folder and see if Microsoft Remote Desktop is here.

    Reinstall Microsoft Remote Desktop.

  • I can not find Remote Desktop on my OSX 10.11

I'll try to find the Remote Desktop App on my OSX 10.11 system

    but I can not find...

    Please help me.

Maybe you're getting confused? Unless you bought the App on the App Store, you won't have it and so you won't find it. What is integrated into the operating system is the ARDAgent, the client part of the App part whole that ARD "exploits".

You can also something could have trouble with the ARDAgent itself (maybe you've been fiddling with the OS?) and therefore the reason why you ask the question? To see the ARDAgent is installed start the Terminal application - you find the application in the Utilities folder in the Menu go - and type this command:

    system_profiler SPApplicationsDataType | grep ARDAgent

You can copy and paste the above in the Terminal window. Be patient as this can take some time for the command to run. If successful, you should see something like this:

    /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app

Which means that you have the client part of the ARD. Once you have checked this and you have not actually bought the application as described here:

    http://www.Apple.com/UK/RemoteDesktop/

    https://iTunes.Apple.com/GB/app/Apple-Remote-Desktop/id409907375?MT=12

Then simply start the App Store on your Mac, the App search and buy it.
