Applications for BlackBerry Bold 9000 series blackBerry Smartphones

Hey guys,.

I'm pretty new here and a fairly new user of personal blackberry. So, please excuse if I break all the rules of this forum. I'll learn it!

I have a question. I downloaded the application from Reuters and the facebook app on the BB, but I don't see all of the icons in the menu or in the list of applications. I wanted to know where the applications are stored on my BB.

I received the email for activation/registration of my network provider (O2 - UK), I don't know if there are any other prerequisites that I need to fill until I see these applications.

Thank you guys and can't wait to you hear.

Ravi.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

You are in the right place, if you're very good!

Go to options / advanced options/applications. Let the construction of the table, and then through scrolling for applications.

If they are installed. Return to the home screen, then look for the applications. Look in each

Applications folder. Download. Etc. make sure that scroll vertically in the files, they do not

start with the top line.

Let us know,

Thank you

  • Storage of applications for blackBerry Smartphones

Hey everyone... I use my 9790 bold, he repeats to me my memory to applications is 512 MB internal memory of the phone's 8 GB! So is there anyway to increase this limited storage for applications? In addition, this space does not increase if I use an external MicroSD memory?

    Hello...

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and fixed (size: 512 MB in your case) space that is available to the House of the OS itself, as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media- is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

    • KB05461 Sizes of card MicroSD taken in charge by the BlackBerry device software

On some devices/OS levels, you can see 'Free file' (Options > status), I think this is equivalent to AppMemory. You can see on other devices, all the memory usage levels three (Options > memory). Here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

    Good luck!

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones does not

I've been upgraded to version 6 on my 9300 curve but when I downloaded a few applications, they do not work.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

A little sparse on the details... "they don't work" could mean that they launch, they communicate, or a myriad of other possible symptoms. Accurate description of what you're trying and that happens helps us not to guess.

But, since you have left to guess, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. I hope that will move things again for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones does not open on Blackberry Bold 9780 after download of Blackberry App World

My applications are not open on Blackberry Bold 9780 after their download of Blackberry App World.  They complete the download, they are free applications.  When I press the button to open the application, it does absolutely NOTHING.  I don't know what else to do, so I have remove off the 9780.  Please help me! -Jennifer

I guess what I'm confused about this... is if we are going to solve all the apps that does not open, and now you have removed people... How shall we proceed?

    Who is?

Let me to this Counsellor... Once you have downloaded an app from AppWorld, even if you are not invited to do, once the app is installed, make a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones reappear after wipe

    Hello world

A little while ago, I wiped my "BOLD" and more to get rid of clutter that can be hung in the background.
I noticed that the charger tilts an English Dictionary / Chinese from a company called Microhill as being installed.
I had tried a few products like this before, but how would he got back on the phone? I certainly have not reinstalled one of them since I wiped it.
Is this part of the standard phone software, perhaps something to do with the different input languages

    Thank you

    Paul

I found that making your way is not always delete all applications 3rd party for any reason any! The operating system clean install works fine using Desktop Manager.

You can try deleting the app Options > Advanced Options > Applications, select the application, press the menu/blackberry and 'delete '. Databases have nothing to do with the apps, so it shouldn't affect the installation or remove the application. You can also add/remove a program with Desktop Manager: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15172

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones available for Curve 9360 - what URL can they be addressed via a PC?

I can't find a page where I can see comfortably, on my PC, the applications available for BB Curve 9360 on the BB site.

(From p. \Apps home I get to a list of devices, where I find the curve, but when I click it, I sent again to the homepage!)

Please, let me know the URL where I am sure they are, even if I can't find it by myself.

    Hello

If, by 'apps', you mean these natively included in OS package, while it's complicated... There are a variety of basic applications, but each company is free to "Pack" the package of core OS with their network-specific things or they chose to push their customers.

If, by 'apps', you hear the module and 3rd party applications that the user chooses to download, then there are a variety of resources:

Each of them works differently, so it is quite difficult to provide detailed instructions for each.

    Good luck!

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones loses the data connection

Found nothing on the net to solve my problem - hope that is not new on this forum!  I have always good connection wi - fi and 3g via the web browser.  However, at the same time, a number of apps for example App World, Sky News, Accuweather etc - that is, I guess that virtually any application requiring access network - don't report "data connection".  Hard reset usually restores this functionality (at home, at work, wherever) until I'm TSF phone in another mobile cell (i.e. the geographical area) - a summer only relatively short distance of my office in the city...  Then it's the same question 'no connection '.  So it seems to be a constant association at the end of the cell - as-TI-a - 'regisered.  I checked all the recommended checks and run several resolutions without result.  I have updated to the most recent Blackberry everything.  Before that I discharge my Blackberry in the last sale of thought start I'd have one last go.

    Thank you

Thanks for the prompt clarity.  Never received this notice of Virgin at the time of purchase - it was presented as an optional extra.  At least you have solved the mystery.  Much obliged.

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones missing 4.5.0.77

I'm with Telus and I downloaded the new 4.5 which was available on the Blackberry site by using the application loader. I first tried to install 5 x on my computer, where whenever she made a fatal mistake and the handset, it had no symbol ap with 507 under him.  TELUS called and they do not support.  My brother took the phone and installed it using his computer.

The question that I am focused on now is the missing apps on my screen as BBMaps, BBMessenger, Brick Breaker, and Password Vault.  That's all, I noticed at the moment, oh yes Docs to go I do not either.  On my computer, I use DM 4.2 depending on the system requirements on the BB site because I use Outlook 2000.I open and I do not see any application to load.  Any help on these getting up and running would be appreciated.

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones only works on WiFi

I downloaded some apps on the store on my Bold 9700 (Twitter, Facebook, opera mini, etc) and have no problem as long as I am in WiFi range. Once apart from that I can't use them without getting a message on them being a WiFi service and check the connection.

My preference of the browser is set to "Hotspot browser", but even when I change it to 3G I still get the same message. None of the applications seem to have preferences of browser so I don't know how I can work around the problem.

Does anyone know of a settings page somewhere is going to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

Thanks for the tips. I tried all 3 suggestions with WiFi off and it seems to have worked on all applications outside of Twitter (weird). Opera mini works now, so too does facebook. Twitter updates to watch but will not open links (read the message "this is a wi - fi service, check the connection"). I'm not a big user of Twitter, so no biggie on that one.

Just out of curiosity, is there a way to tell what link you are when you use an application? What navigation normally the connection method shows up right but if I use Opera mini, for example, is not.

Thanks again for the help, much appreciated!

  • Applications for blackBerry Smartphones pull a file

Can you take applications off a folder so that they appear on the screen of the face?  I wish I had facebook appear on the screen of the face instead of in the applications folder.  Is this possible?

Hi there, yes you can do that.  Go to the Facebook icon and highlight it (do not click).  Press the BB Menu key and select move to folder.  Select the home folder.  This will move the icon at the end of your home screen.  You can then do the same thing again, this time select simply to move, and then you can move the icon where you want.  By clicking on the screen where you want the icon, it will move to this position.  You can also do this for all the other icons that you want to move.

Hope that's what you're looking for!
