Hi, I am a student Brazilian and I use the Labview in my monograph.

I need communication between Labview and Simulink. I have in my computer of 2012 Labview and SIT AcademicVersion installed that came to the DVD of the academic version of Labview 2012. I also have the Matlab R2009b X 32.

It is possible to establish communication using this version of the software.

    Hi all..

I have installed LV2014 & model Interface toolkit... but I can't find the function to SIT in the tool Menu,

    Where can I install SIT?

    Thank you!!!

Simulation Interface Toolkit was the Toolbox that you used to call the models, but since LabVIEW 2013, it has been replaced by the model Interface Toolkit.

  • Can I change the period of 'model' of a Simulink model running with the model interface toolkit (MIT) programmatically?

I would like to be able to programmatically change the time step, a Simulink model uses when it is called by the model Interface Toolkit LabVIEW. The time step is a template parameter or a signal of model. Is this possible to do?

It is not possible. The timestep for the model is fixed and compiled in the model. You can do things like relaxation model subsystems based on a value entry or event within the model.

Here is the readme for 2012 of LabVIEW Simulation Interface Toolkit: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/049295038FF0EE2A86257A06006B2DAD

We do not guarantee that is works with the software MATLAB of The MathWorks, Inc.® 2013 (and I wouldn't recommend it). As stated in the readme file, the last being fully supported is 2011.

Why should I produce a file called sinewave.out? I don't think that I really need.

Can someone tell me please how to use the sinewave.dll properly to make it work on my cRio?

(I don't want to use e/s material and yet, just run the file .dll on the cRio.)

The best help for would be a description step by step from a VI of work using sinewave.mdl inside LabVIEW with ready to use sinewave.dll.

I need to examine any document in order to complete this example?

    Thanks for your effort!

  • Changes in the driver vi using the Simulation Interface Toolkit (SIT) for PXI get do not appear.

    Hello

I use Simulation Interface Toolkit to target a controller built in Simulink on a PXI target. I used the SIT connection manager to generate the driver screws I had to make some changes in the screw driver specifically Read.vi IO. I made the changes and the entire application runs without error. But the changes are not getting in the functioning of the application, essentially when I load the thing on PXI and run it, it contains exactly as it was before behaiving I made these changes. Some how the changes I make to the Read.vi of e/s are not begin day somewhere in the top vi driver.

Could someone help me with this please.

    Eliane.

    Hi Justin_P,

Thank you very much for the reply. Solved the problem. What you're saying, that's certainly true, but I do not use the project.

The problem was that whenever it makes a change one driver that saw VI top-level driver must be opened and saved again. This opening and registration links the pilot with new changed correctly VI and then everything works fine.

    Thanks again.

    Eliane.

  • LabVIEW Interface for installation of the Arduino

I want to install the LabVIEW Interface for Arduino Toolkit, so I can control an Arduino Uno R3.  Say the instructions to download and install the VIPM and then you can download and install the Toolkit through the VIPM.  The only problem is that workplace of our company doesn't have access to the internet for security reasons, so the VIPM will not be able to download the Toolkit.  How can I download manually the Toolbox for a laptop without LabVIEW, save it on a usb key, then install manually on the workstation with LabVIEW?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I asked the very question sometime back and here is the answer I received. I decided to use another computer on the network for the work of the Arduino, so I never tried what was suggested.

Let us know how it turns out.

  • NXT Toolkit installation problem

In the execution of setup.exe that is not compressed file zip toolkit, errors occurred as follows.

\MetaUninstaller\MU\MetaUninstallerR1.cab. Check that the file exists and that you can access. >
The same mistakes happening to package.cab and MDFSupport1.cab.

I could not find above the cab files in uncompressed files, however there was same name files

    as... \MU\MetaUninstallerR1.
It can be assumed that the cab files are not compressed.

Anyway, I can't continue with installation. I appreciate if you inform me a hint. Thank you.

State of PC: Windows XP Professional SP3, LabView 7.1 installed.

    I could find the answer.
Dezippee applicability has been established it works until all the compressed files are melted. Not only the zip files.  So, the cab files were also not compressed.  It was very simple, but it took four days.  Good bye.

  • labVIEW Arduino interface

    Hey,.

I've interfaced arduino and labVIEW 2012. I run the LIFA_Base file in the window of the arduino and then close it and run my program in labVIEW. whenever I have stop the labVIEW program and the next time I run the program in labVIEW, that it's not until I reupload the LIFA firmware. So, what is the solution such that I did not download the LIFA firmware every time.

    Good quick response.

    Rich.

    Rich,

I think your code is good enough to read the data in series.

Please check the attached sketch (which is the same as what you have downloaded to the arduino) also I join the LabVIEW VI to read data series.

Please make sure that the COM port that you use for arduino should be the same for LabVIEW.

Also close to the arduino.exe (the software through which you have downloaded the sketch.

Then, run the supplied LabVIEW VI.

Better use of the arduino with LabVIEW, you can find step by step here information

  • Compilation of Simulink with the model interface toolkit (MIT)

    Hello

I am considering using the template Toolkit Interface to Simulink model in the LabVIEW environment. My question is about the process of compiling Simulink. To correctly compile the Simulink model in a DLL and then wrap it with the API from MIT the build process should take place on a machine that has the two LabVIEW Matlab/Simulink AND with MIT?

Which means, is it possible to have Matlab/Simulink, on a single machine (typewriter), a license to some developers (devA) and on another machine (machine B) has a license of LabVIEW, a license to another developer (devB). Portion of the CAN the LV at MIT be installed on computer B and part of Simulink at MIT be installed on the machine as the developer can compile the simulink model in a DLL and then pass to developer B to then wrap it in LabVIEW? Or is the string of tools such as Matlab/Simulink and LabVIEW must be on the same machine. That means, a developer must have these two licenses?

    Thank you!

This help document can help you get started with the compilation of a model for use on a target of cRIO VxWorks. You don't need to have your target available for the compilation model, or write your application to MIT. You only need the target to deploy and run the model (obviously).

As described in the help link, you will need to download a compiler appropriate for the compilation of the VxWorks model. A free version of the GCC is linked to this document that you can download. You will need this compiler and the framework subcomponent model of MIT to compile the templates.
