Are Office 2010 Cumulative installed automatically updated from Windows Update?

I have Office 2010 Pro Plus installed on several machines, if they are installed through Windows Update hoe can you check the cumulative updates have been applied.

OK, gotcha now. [From a technical point of view, Office updates are only available via automatic updates if Microsoft Update (vs Windows Update) is the source of the default update.]

I was told this morning when I tried to manually reinstall I did not require 2331 441 and it was already there.

    Hello

Here's what I recommend you do:

1 disable UAC. Down comes the restrictions - turn it off completely.
2 restart your computer for the change to take effect.
3 re - download the update of security for Microsoft Office System 2007 (KB982331) from the link below:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=7f89a734-cda4-4abb-9a10-f6dfe560e8d0&displaylang=en
    4. install. It should work fine.
    5. If it still does not work, try to open all or part of your MS Office applications (such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc.).
    6. follow steps 3-4.
    7. If it still does not work, follow step # 3 again. After you download it, try to disconnect your computer from the internet (unplug the internet cable or turn off the modem). Then, try to install the downloaded (KB982331). It should work this time.

    Let me know your results.

  • After installing automatically updates, data was erased, signed on a generic basis Admi

To close Windows Update installed AM 4. I happened to be awake and noticed because I listen to a podcast of the bed, and cut out the audio. It was too late for me to stop updates, so I just let it run and restart if necessary. When the charging system load, half my desktop icons are missing, as well as all office files, the content already stored there now apparently not found.

Naturally, I am alarmed by this much, so I decided to restart. It is something I repeat two times before giving up. The problem is that every time that I reboot, despite the signing in thanks to my main user account, I am logged in as the admin of generics. This means that essentially none of my software (having been installed only on the user account) is installed (and, for example, when you try to reinstall Chrome I'd get -Installer download failed.) Error = 0x800405ff), none of my preferences are saved, and once again I have not access to several evidence of records of important files, previously located on my desktop.

    The installed updates are:

Update security for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB2485376) - Installation status: success

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB2492475) - Installation status: success

Update security for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB2393802) - Installation status: success

Update cumulative security for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB2482017) - Installation status: success

Update security for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB2483185) - Installation status: success

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x 64-February 2011 (KB890830) - Installation status: success

So above all, what I need to connect under my user account actually take me there rather than generic admin and recover the lack of desktop files became MIA after foregoing, forcibly settled.

By the way, I am running Vista Ultimate SP 2, 64-bit edition.

    Hi Caleb Posner,.

You can try a system restore to a previous point where you have not experienced the problem.
