  I have a hard drive with Windows XP.  The machine from Dell, in which it was loaded crashes - most likely a motherboard problem.  I installed the HDD on another machine that has had its hard drive failure - virus suspected, etc..  The combination of 'new' hard drive with Windows XP and the Dell with the card mother work seems to work.  I get the error that I have to reactivate Windows XP to connect.  I can't connect Internet (I have not discovered why in this case) and the result by telephone (voice) says that ID is not on file (?) and gives a Web site for activation.  I can't access the Web on the machine, and the Microsoft Web site with the "solution" has the answer in form of download - once again, not good because I can't access the Web with the machine in need of activation.  The phone translates a computer, not a person.  I changed nothing other than to remove the hard drive of a machine which does not to whoever's doing.  What can I do?  Thank you.

• Activation of Windows 7 0xC004F050 error

  I corrected by running Windows update and got the above error. For a little history, I am running this windows on an IMAC in a Bootcamp partition. I was trying to run Parallels for Mac OS and that's when the problems started. I look at my computer properties and note that the State of Activation of Windows is not available and the product ID is not available. I tried Windows Activation and it lets me know error code is 0xD000034. I don't have a lot of items installed in Windows 7, but if resettlement would not be a huge problem, but if there are solutions out there that would save me some time.

  Hi, my laptop is using Windows 7 starter 32 bit. He saw error and had been repaired once, but still having some questions such as:

  Honestly, it looks that your system needs a new reinstall of Windows 7. It should reinstall applications such as Microsoft Office and drivers for devices such as your scanner, printer. If you wish not to do this, follow these steps:

  Check your hard drive for errors:

  Click Start

  Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD

  Click on "Run as Administrator"

  At the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f /r

  When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.
