Areas of operation Web Center of JDeveloper

I'm very big thing back to Oracle Fusion Middleware and still find my way in everything. I am trying to understand the best way to maintain an Extension of personalized spaces Web Center. I'd like to think I can work locally as much as possible, but I don't understand how to get my built-in JDeveloper to WebLogic Server to start with Center spaces Web market too. I have the following questions:

  1. This I have to have a separate server running spaces or can it operate on the webserver of built-in logic provided in JDeveloper?
  2. If I have need to a separate server, developers tend to perform this additional server locally or licensing issues it do that?
  3. Given the above points, can anyone tell me a best practice development methods when working on extensions to the space. Currently, the developers are working blind, deploy code in the hope that it works, which is not possible to develop software.

Yes.You need a separate managed server in weblogic. You must create a new schema for webcenter to MDS.then create a new domain in weblogic and node server.see following link

Well, if you run in the production server. An oracle sales guy would respond better. For local use have an image of the linux kernel. Configure weblogic server with managed server and doesn't suite

There are two ways in the workspace. One to create a workflow custom in the ADF and deploy in the areas.

    Your own application, I recommend that you create your own managed server. If you prefer, you can use the successful WLS_Spaces server, there are most of the libraries that you will need, but it's too webcenter spaces app and you'll be slower, if you create your own managed server you will get more performance.

    I need to develop an application for Admission online for future student to apply for admission.

    My installations of PeopleSoft are below:

    Server machine: Oracle Linux 5.10 (64-bit)

    Client computer: Windows XP Professional (64 edition) with the Internet Explorer browser

    Architecture Internet Oracle Linux 5.10 Server:

    (1) database server: Oracle Database 11 g version 11.1.0.6.0 is

    (2) the server application: Tuxedo 11 g

    (3) web Server: Web Logic 10.3.6.0 and JDK 1.7.0_09

    (4) browser: Firefox Mozila

    (5) two Instances of huge database on the database server: 8.53 PeopleTools and Campus Solution 9.0.

    To develop the application for Admission online, I made the 4 parties with WebLogic 10.3.6 and JDK 1.7.0_09 as below:

    (1) install ADR (Application Development Runtime) 11.1.1.6.0 (64-bit)

    (2) install the RCU 11.1.1.6.0 to create the scheme of OWSM_MDS (32 bit)

    (3) create a WebLogic 'Domain_CS' domain in WebLgoic 10.3.6.0 in support of MARC 11.1.1.6.0.

    (4) install JDeveloper 11 g 11.1.1.6.0 Studio Edition including WebLogic 10.3.5.0.

    The development environment for the online application for Admission is JDeveloper 11 g 11.1.1.6.0 Studio Edition. I just installed this PeopleSoft system. I don't have any experience using it. The first step is to run the command:

    $./quickstart.sh

    JDeveloper 11g Quick Start Menu appears as below:

    1) start with WebLogic Server 10.3.5

    (2) launching Oracle JDeveloper 11 g

    (3) set up areas for Oracle ADF

    (4) access Oracle JDeveloper 11 g Documentation Online

    (5) domain upgrade to version 10.3.5

    (6) access online documentation

    I don't know the outline of comprehensive measures to develop the Web Application with JDeveloper. We will understand that it out by steps associated with Quick Start Menu.

    My questions are:

    (1) do I need to create or extend a field in WebLogic 10.3.5.0?

    (2) how to develop the Web Application with JDeveloper? How connect JDeveloper with WebLogic 10.3.5.0?

    (3) how to configure the domain for the ADF ADF being installed in another directory?

    (4) folk would provide the outline of measures to develop the Web Application with JDeveloper?

    Sorry, I don't work with AAWS or PeopleSoft products. You have searched on Google for samples?

    Ultimately AAWS are just web services that allows you to collect and send data. You create the user interface as you would for any web service based on the model layer. Start with samples for the integration of web services in the ADF to familiarize yourself with the process and then try to get some data of AAWS.

    WebCenter supports dragging and dropping of portlets out of the box. You don't need to do something special to enable drag / move portlets.
    The only condition that there is, is that users are connected and they granted rights of personlization.

    I have problems with the help of the fill of the browser option. It only fills the area IN my Web page, not the area around my webpage. It does the same thing with solid, gradient colors and with an image. I have the same problem on a master page, but also separate pages.

    When using MySQL, you must configure the business components ADF for use "SQL92" SQL flavor instead of 'Oracle' SQL flavor. He's seen your stack trace that you use 'Oracle' SQL flavor (because the OracleSQLBuilderImpl class is used instead of the class of BaseSQLBuilderImpl). The OracleSQLBuilderImpl class (which is used internally when the SQL flavor is 'Oracle') uses the features of Oracle DB connections and it assummes an Oracle DB connection (so he throws the connection to OracleConnection, causing the exception).

  • Check if host are connected to Virtual Center, not a cmdlet command, but from a file

    Sometimes, I have to work on a list of hosts that are part of Virtual Center. But are are not organized in glomeruli or records or any cmdlet that I can call.

    So sometimes I run scripts based on the list generated by the user below is an example of the code how I work against the list of hosts.

    $list = Get-Content "C:\Program Files\PowerGUI\goodhost1.txt".

    ForEach ($server in $list) {($luns = Get-ScsiLun -Server $vcs -VmHost $server)}

    Sometimes these Listehotes can come from a database. The database sometimes misspells the hostname. So before working on the host I ping them and generate a list of capable host computer ping and not able ping.  Those who were not able to ping usually strike fault in the host name, and I would easily fix those and put them in a master host list.

    So in essence, my script runs when I have a master host list. But when the host is not connected in Virtual Center my script breaks. So, I have to go change my master host list and get him out of the host that the script has run on including that which has not been connected and re-run the script. Kind of pain.

    So what I'm looking for is a code example or idea on how to check if the list of my host against virtual center to see if its already connected.

    When you work with the cmdlets I use something like this

    Get-vmhost | where {$_.} State - eq 'Connected'}

    I could do something similar? With my own list.

    I use Jdeveloper 11 g to consume the webservice of peoplesoft and following the exact steps in the following article.

    The Web service I use is different from the example I use the production version of the wsdl file.
    After following all the steps, the generated proxy creates not poseurs of the getter for user name, password (Basic authentication).
    Is it supposed to auto generate or what I need to encode?
    I did the code of the getter set username and password and provide the credentials, but I get an error authentication failed.

    The code I used to generate getter, setter is

    It depends on your knowledge of jsp and the possible controllers like struts, the faces and the adf (which is an addon of jsf). ADF has the advantage that a large number of configurations and other stuff is handled for you. However, if you are familiar with Struts you can use it too.

    The decision also depends on demand and what he should do. I can't comment on this, as I don't know.

    As you use 12 c my recommendation is to use the stack complete adf, meaning adf faces and adfbc for access to the data in the Database.

    There is a license for the adf if you want to deploy on a WebLogic Server, however there is a free version (adf essentials) that uses a GlassFish server.
