My problem. Worked on it for 3 days with the help of Microsoft. Without success. I tried to Win 10. I could not as my Win 7 has been altered, told by MS tier 2 agent. 8 / 10, it replaced my bad win 7 with a good and after that update updates more than 190 attempted to load Win 10, could not as I had no new product for the new Win 7 key. The old key not be applied to the old Win 7 previously on my machine. I was told by another that help of MS agent that I should have received a new product key for activation. I was not the case. Enter the third officer. He said that could not do anything for me. Option 1 is to restore the old Win 7 OS and use the old product key. OK, but it is the old bad OS and therefore won't make me win 10 because that is what started this drill. Option 2, buy a new product key for my new Win 7 OS. How can I do and how MS ID the new Win 7 system and the new key to go with it. Option 3, buy a new machine with Win 10installed. I look forward to rant, but this is unacceptable Microsoft help me in this mess and now falls me like a hot potato they can't deal with. Any suggestions?

If you want to, a lot of people manually install the upgrade successfully. If it's something that you want to do, here is a set of directions step by step on how to do it.

Please read carefully before you begin.

Step 1. Go to control panel, click Windows Update, select, and install all the updates available, the most important and those optional.

Step 2 Once you are done with this, pull the top of your Start menu and see if there is an icon on your start/stop option. If so, restart your computer so the updates can be configured with the system and vice versa. If you don't see this icon, then go to step 3.

Step 3 Return to your Windows Update and check the updates, if this is not to say all are needed, look in the left column and click on the option "search for updates". If the updates is displayed, install them also (the most important and those in option). If it is up-to-date and no update is available, go to step 4.

Step 4. Plug your laptop into its charger and let it plugged into a power source for the rest of these steps (if you have a desktop computer, you can of course skip this step)

Step 5 Open the Panel control, click System, look to see if you are running a 32-bit or a 64-bit system. Don't forget that number with precision, because you need to know for the next step.

Step 6 Click on the link at the bottom of this message, download the Media Creator tool that is appropriate for the bits that you are running with your system, either 32-bit or 64-bit.

Step 7 Once the Media Creator tool has downloaded completely, close all programs and run the program Media Creator tool. Follow the instructions that you may encounter. NOTE: This step here, may or may not take a long time and it is quite normal and WAITED for your screen may blink and restarting your laptop / desktop some, those who are normal.

Once the program has run its course completely and correctly, you will have a new Windows 10 operating system on your device.
