    HI @compugirl ,

I understand this thing you display may have a bad connection that you have to play with, then fish on the screen to show the line.

Want to know if this could be fixed by a tech.  The short answer is Yes.  Here is a link to 2009decembre 17 December 17, 2009 HP Pavilion dv4 Entertainment PC Maintenance and Service of Guide. Please note Chapter 3 page 3 for a list of the replacement screens supported by number of the part.

It may just be a connections loose as you said, either a bad connection cable...  The cable may have become defective through the opening and closing of notebook, during normal use.  Please note Chapter 4 page 27 for the removal of the screen procedure.  Before considering the replacement of the screen, I would try a new cable first to exclude it.  You should be able to buy the cable to any computer supply store.

    I hope this has helped.

  • Expressing or lights comps through parental

    1. I have four small circles colored in a model which move vertically from the bottom of the screen towards the Center. These are 3D objects. Call this model 4 circles.

    2. I put the spotlight behind each colored circle and put in full light transmission so they coloured shadows. These four indicators are related to each of the four colored circles.

    3. when I place this comp of 4 circles in an another 3D model, called the scene, 4 circles lights do not come across. They must? I tried to push every button at my disposal.

    4. If I can't get 4 4 circles homoparental lights displays in the model of the stadium, I would like to put four new projectors in the model of the stadium and their parent to the positions of the 4 circles so that the circles are moving, so do their individual lights.

    5. I've tried several expressions but I still get an expression (indecipherable so immemorial) and I even had some AE crash a couple of times. Mkes a little sense since coordinates 3D in the circles 4 model will change compared to the precomp 3D coordinates in the compwhich Stadium, leads directly to the insoluble coordinate systems, some trying to divide by zero, without a doubt.

    6. How can I link each of the movements of the four circles of lights through the isolated worlds of the comps?

I read everyting I can find on the collapse and precompsoing 3D.

  • When you buy a new laptop...

What numbers tell me the better image quality?  and what LED display lighting?

    Thank you, Jack

    LED lighting system.

Stands for Light Emitting Diode, such as low-energy Christmas lights. This set up is great for a laptop because they are brilliant (not enough of the light to use however in the light of the Sun) and they use less energy, then the old lighting system _ PC laptop battery lasts longer this way long.

Old lighting system used inverter and CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp). They are the same as the fluorescent tubes and ballast as you will find in a hardware store, only on a smaller scale. This system uses a lot of battery power and the lamps themselves are very fragile and burn after a while. In most cases, when this happens, the screen needs to be replaced.

LED will eventually burn too, but ultimately, they will last longer, then the CCFL put in place.

Better image quality; the more the better. It equals more pixels on the screen and a sharper image. Small screen will not have as much bigger screen everything simply because manufactured goods can stuff only so many pixels in a given space, so do not condemn a laptop because it has a lower resolution. The bigger screen of laptop there are 18.4 inches diagonally, and it was not uncommon that they are 1920 X 1080. 1080 lines and each line containing 1920 pixels. This is roughly equivalent to about 2 000 000 pixels. HP and Dell made a monster 20-inch at the same time, but its resolution is 1680 X 1050, it's less then 1920 X 1080, but the man can't make a difference. Some high-end and Apple screens are 2560 x 1600 and they managed to stuff all the pixels in a 15 inch screen. In this case, you can see the difference.

Here is a definition of what all these letters represent while manufactures like to use. "The more the better" still applies here.

  • using the PDF instead of HTML

    To the right at Adobe.

After a careful examination of many current technologies for the content of the Web site (including HTML, PHP, Java, JavaScript, MySQL, etc. and systems such as Typo3, Joomla, etc), we decided to drop everything for PDF, being an ISO standard and the de facto standard for office documents. Everyone has Acrobat Reader is installed, the plugin is also installed, and so everyone is able to display a http://.../index.pdf. Problems that are common to other sites, such as the injection of SQL code, the need to keep a backup of SQL server, the demand of space (the naked typo3 installation requires 1 GB of server space), for example, they are all simply, we do not want. Following initial considerations and the advancement, an index.pdf file monkey 200 K holds today, our entire Web site. Dynamic content is loaded by SWFs included read various .xml files. The site displays beautifully on a Mac with Safari and Acrobat X or Windows XP with any browser. There are a few problems, however, which are still pending. Describe us them here.

Index.pdf of the index.html call can result in a blank page, and the Acrobat Reader plugin makes no effort to inform and help the people customer. It turns out that the v10 of Acrobat Reader is not available on all platforms. For example, linux (ubuntu v11) and solaris (v11) still have Acrobar Reader v9. On linux or solaris, you see a "3d data parsing error" whenever you open a page with swf included.» This happens all the time. It only occurs if your version is different from the version 9.2. 9.3 and 9.4 show the above error. It's a problem of multiple roles, because the latest version on these systems is version 9.4; version 10 is not available from Adobe, and most of the people are not ready to go back to version 9.2, which is not available from the default package of the System Manager. Other systems are not without problems. Apple OS x, for example, the plugin is only available for Safari. If your default browser is Firefox, Chrome or Opera, you don't see the index.pdf. You have to use Safari. Apple iOS, even Safari fails to execute the index.pdf, because Acrobat Reader is not available for this platform. We have solved most of these problems via a HTML + JavaScript loader which performs a compatibility check-up. If all tests are successful, the HTML code then calls the PDF file. If the tests fail, then a courtesy message, explaining the problem and describing the steps the user must perform to solve the problem (s). If the user does not wish to use the Acrobat plugin, then the user is redirected to the RSS STREAM. The site is based on the RSS STREAM, and so the user has access to (most of) the content of the site. You can read this code at the following address: http://www.MadreAcqua.org/index.html. It is not enough, however. We had people with Acrobat Reader X installed on supported Adobe Systems, but their browser plugin remained version9; It turned out that the update of the Reader app could not update the Player plugin. On Windows 7 + updates, with Firefox 4 + updates and Acrobat Reader 10 + the index.pdf does not display included sovereign wealth funds. Note that it works on Windows XP + updates and Adobe Reader 10 with any browser. The failure on Windows 7 is a mystery. There are also people who are sick and tired of Acrobat Reader update by hand, or do not have the skill or the time to do it. It is also the source of the recent security problems.

Below you will find other problems.

    1. the index.pdf includes sovereign wealth funds for its dynamic parts (RSS readers and video). Sometimes, random, sovereign wealth funds, do one of the following: they disappear (the only way to make them appear again is click on their area); they disappear and reappear as the Christmas lights (the only way to stop is to reload the page); also, they disappear or reappear when resizing the browser window.

    2. the mouse wheel allows to reverse the pages instead of scrolling. Specifically, each page of the site is displayed in its entirety. If we do scroll, however, the engine should try to scroll, find that the page is displayed in its entirety, and so nothing should happen. Instead, the engine displays the next page of the PDF file. The PDF file was built with the indicator "single page view", but the engine force mode 'to enable scrolling '. This seems to be a bug in the Adobe Reader software.

In short, dear Adobe, please ensure that all platforms have the same version of the Acrobat Reader plugin, and that the plugin is updated automatically, in the same way to Flash Player 10.3. One plugin (pdf + swf) would also be useful. Please also make a charger official as part of the plugin, both to solve (mostly) the above problems and increase your own awareness of them. Otherwise implies your inability to offer its support to HTML ++.

    Best regards

    M.A.S.T.

    Not a bug - you're wrong points.

If you embed a SWF file usinguniversal mode (Acrobat 8 and earlier versions) l, then it will never print, because it is never part of the PDF page. Legacy content is an annotation that is managed by an external program (in the case of the legacy SWF, a copy of office of Flash Player). For security reasons, there is no communication between the engine PDF printing and that the external program, so when you print the PDF file you will see nothing except the poster images.

If however you embed your SWF in Acrobat 9 native mode +, it will play using the built-in Flash Player copy and will be printed, as long as you select "document and annotations" in the menu options and print on paper, it will look exactly as it does on the screen at the moment you press the button print, provided the SWF correctly handles step scaling.

In addition, you can write a PDF with SWF file included for printing, but when you print it, the content of the included SWF file does not appear on the paper. This is part of our list of bugs.

  • LR 2.5 export to TIFF

I have some low light photos taken Noël LED displays. In library mode, thay are all washed out. Develop they look a lot better and I apply adjustments as needed. When you export to tiff, they all become washed out as in the origanial library view. If I go on windows expolore and hilight tiff, the preview looks good, as it has been developed. When you open in CS3, everything away again. Sometimes, when I take the picture in the library, it looks good for a second and then becomes washed out again. This is not the case on most exposed to images.

I find myself way more saturate to develop to get even a tiff that looks like what I was looking for.

LR, Ps or ACR doing something behind the sceens? What can I do?

    Thank you

It is a problem with the color noise reduction. To develop, it applies only in the 1:1 view. In the zoomed view, it does not apply and you will get sometimes much more saturation than it actually is. The problem is that color noise reduction get rid quick color changes such as neon lights, Christmas lights, flowers in a field, etc. But you won't see it develop in the overview! Simply set to zero color noise reduction and it won't happen and your export tiff will be better in this case. In library view, the color noise reduction is applied even in the view zoomed on because it is rendered in a jpeg preview.

  • Blue tint to the exported images from LR 2.4

A particular image, that I exported from LR appears slightly more blue than it does in the LR library. At first I thought it's maybe because I export from a raw image in sRGB and downsizing a lot, but this isn't the cause.

If I take the image of LR and EDIT in PHOTOSHOP CS3 using TIFF 16 bits and ProPhoto and then in Photoshop manually reduce 640 pixels on its longest side, change it to 8 bits per channel and ProPhoto convert to sRGB, the resulting image is not this blue tint and, in my view, exactly looks the same as the view from LR library. But if I ask LR for export in a 8-bit sRGB TIFF and reduce the size of 640 pixels, with no job of sharpening, the result has the blue tint.

I have attached a screenshot with LR in the background and two windows photoshop: the left one is photoshop glancing tiff that LR exported; the right is Photoshop showing the same image will be created manually as described in my second para. I find that one on the left has a bluish tint, particularly in the foliage over the arms of the shovel. Flicking between the two windows photoshop, the histogram is clearly more blue in the left.

Of course, you can say well, "Photoshop isn't Lightroom, so there are small differences. I accept it. But the fact is that Photoshop agrees with LR, this is just EXPORT from LR service that produces a result that is more blue.

No idea why this should be so? (I have not noticed this on other images)

I find that quite strange for sRGB, BTW, because the color is the smallest space the most important, one might think, to have the perception during the conversion in it.

It has historical reasons. When sRGB was designed none of this really existed yet. Recently the ICC made a new sRGB version which has no perceptual intent. You can use it in Photoshop, but strangely, Lightroom doesn't know how to use it.

When you refer to the scale, I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean the alteration of color that occurs when mapping range of one color space to another? Sorry, I don't know anything about. But what at first glance seems odd is that why should the color of a pixel mapping be in any way affected by the values of adjacent pixels? (I guess this must be the case for effect "in areas with a lot of detail", as you suggest.

I refer to the reduction of scale to 640 pixels wide that you do. It is very simply with an average value of the pixels within a zone to arrive at a new image of low resolution. For example, if your original is 3000 pixels wide, and you go to 500 pixels wide, you are averaging an area of 6 x 6 pixels (i.e. 36 pixels) for a single pixel value in the new image. In practice several different algorithms are used to do this, but the basic principle is the same. Lightroom evolves in a linear space, which means that the brightness (luminance) is a linear function of the values bit. This translates into the luminance of the final pixel being correct anything. Photoshop scales in the gamma corrected space of the profile document (gamma 1.8 for prophotoRGB and approximately 2.2 to sRGB). Gamma means that the lightness of a pixel is dependent on the value of bit powerlaw. This translates into the luminance is not always correct with the end result. Whether move you in linear space or corrected gamma issues only when you have lots of small details. Course, when you have a plan of color, no matter that you will come to the same value. However, if you have a lot of edges, there are an error of scale to gamma corrected space. This is detailed in a page I found a quick google here: http://www.4p8.com/eric.brasseur/gamma.html

So scaling in linear space is preferable from the point of view correct color. However, it leads to the desaturation and maybe look less good.

A second point that I would put to LR is this: no matter how you do this scaling, why you cannot export a file that resembles that on my screen of LR? The fact that they are different certainly suggests that LR does not use this linear gamma of scale displaying the pictures, then we could add "look, do go and stick to it; don't chop and move one feature from LR to another. »

Here, you have run in one of the many peculiarities of Lightroom. Because it is made of the jpeg extracted in adobeRGB (in general), the scaling of the display in libraries and other is in a gamma corrected space and so resemble the Photoshop scale. To the point, there is no scale is done, but the view zoomed on is a rendering that is similar to using nearest neighbor scaling. For reasons of speed, it only displays a subset of the pixels. So, with an average of pixels is made. In addition, any color and sharpness noise reduction is applied in the zoomed view on. This means that the zoomed view on developing countries is often saturated. This can be a real problem. There are many images where this leads to completely wrong impression in the zoomed view on. An example would be an image of Christmas lights that will look very colorful with zoom out but when zoom you 1:1 (or go to the library) they lose all color because the color noise reduction, which is then applied. Sea of flowers in the grass, light neon, colored fabrics, etc., are other examples. If you have a lot of microdetail, only display that's really right in Lightroom to develop is the view of 1:1. This is largely fixed in LR 3 BTW, where he restores to a larger size, including the reduction of noise and sharpening and then further reduced to develop.

I realize that you are not responsible for the LR... no bad vibes intended

Not bad actually. I love Lightroom, but realize that there are many gaps. In my work, I do a lot of scientific image processing and I'm always curious to see how things are really make.
