Aspire 5610 Information

There are two versions of the model of laptop Aspire 5610. The 5610 and the 5610Z. The 5610Z is limited to 2 GB of RAM. The 5610 without the Z can run up to 4 GB, but do recognize that 3 GB of RAM. Many motherboards will be computerized. I need to replace my motherboard due to some problems I'm having with him. Can someone give me the motherboard part / model number for a 5610 (No. Z) that will work with 4 GB of RAM installed. The 5610Z even primer not with any more than 2 GB of RAM, so I would like to upgrade to be able to run with 4 GB installed. Thanks in advance.

Good news! You are welcome.

  • Satellite L30 - 10Y - upgrade successful but CPU fan is running

    Hi ppl,
This post is more than a FYI post.

I gave myself a defective Aspire 5610 and decided to whip the CPU out of it and put it in my Toshiba Satellite L30 and it works! CPU of the Satellite is a series of Intel Celeron M @ 1.87 Ghz, while the Acer processor is an Intel T2300 Centrino Duo 1.66 GHz. So my Satellite is now slightly faster, but added to it's 2 GB of RAM and a hard drive upgraded to 320 GB under Windows 7 Ultimate. While its still not a game machine, it creaks all the numbers that I throw at it!
    Hope this helps someone.

I noticed that the fan runs almost constantly, suggestions?

    Hey,.

Thanks for this very interesting article! It of Nice to hear this new CPU works fine, but I have to say there is no guarantee for this, but you have chance ;)
Update CPU's official not taken in charge, but in some cases, it may work, depending on the motherboard, BIOS and CPU.

In any case, I think the fan runs almost constantly because the newer and more powerful CPU producing much more heat and it must be cooled cooling system that is designed for your older CPU.
All you can do is to clean the cooling system, but I think you have already done this during the exchange of CPU and use of grease thermal correct amount.

  • I have a valid product key for Vista Home Pemium. How can I get this drive?

I have an Acer Aspire 5610 and my hard drive died.  I need to reinstall windows, but have no disk.  I have a valid product key for Vista Home Pemium.  How can I get this drive?  Acer sells not more the disc for this model.

    Hello

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

As Acer does not have them, you have to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • I forgot the password to my old computer admin, and he has 1 account to it. What can I do to cross it and unlock my computer without drop kick to it through my 3rd floor balcony window lmao.

Although even I have now a new computer, still I'd like having my old 1 as a back-up if this 1 crashes ever, there is only 1 account on it and I forgot the password of admin for it. I tried to restart it in safe mode if all goes well to bypass the password admin start-up section, but surprise! always had a password and when I type the password reset link under the password box that he told me that I need a password reset disk where can I get 1 of them and I can get very cheap 1 because I am disabled and cannot work more:(si im limité sur combien dépenser chaque mois.) It also requires a USB and not a disc, the brand and the model is an Acer Aspire 5610 with windows vista home premium.

    Hello DOWG pepper,.

Unfortunately Microsoft forbids us to give instructions on how to work around/hack admin password. There are ways, but we are not allowed to disclose. As this is an old PC, maybe the best thing for you to do is re - install windows on this computer.

On the reset disk, you will need to create one of these yourself by opening the control panel and clcikcing on user account icon. In user accounts, look to the left of the window and you will see a list of tasks. The first is create a reset disk.

  • The desktop icons can be locked in place?

I am running Vista Home Premium.  I created my icons in a location on the desktop that is easy for me to find/see but from time to time they moved on their own.

    Hello

I suggest that you do the following.

    a. right click on the empty area of the desktop
    b. click on 'View' and try to "Snap to grid", instead of "auto arrange".

  • Control Panel/laptop

Why can't open my control panel, I have an Acer Aspire 5610.

    Hello

Vista references apply to Windows 7.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products you have on your machine? Include everything that you never
a includes those that you uninstalled. (These can leave leftovers that can cause strange problems.)

A search for all most .cpl files will be in "C:\Windows\System32" However, you can have others.
Click on each of them at a time and see if we won't start – if so right-click on it and rename it using
cpZ as extension of the sort that we are to find. Retry Control Panel - if no joy persevering of all .cpl files.
(Note that other people find other subfolders under C:\Windows shouldn't be judged because they are not
    Active).

    Some of them are appwiz.cpl firewall.cpl, desk.cpl, powercfg.cpl, inetcpl.cpl, timedate.cpl and
    others.

Try these in case the General corruption has a role to play:

Start - type this in the search box-> find COMMAND at the top and RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

Enter this at the command prompt - sfc/scannow

  • Going from Vista to XP

I bought an Acer aspire 5610 some years ago, which ran on XP, with a free upgrade later to Vista. I would now like to go back to XP, is it possible and if so, how?

If you have the XP system discs that came with it, or if the recovery XP partition still exists about it, you can then bring it back to what it was when you bought it first. That also means you will have to reinstall all updates, service packs, and whatever programs you have on it now.

No particular reason, why you would rather go back to XP than upgrading to Win7?

  • Windows 7, XP Guest, no USB host?

I managed to install VMware Server on a Windows 7 Beta build 7000 OS.  I installed the OS guest WIndows XP and VMware tools.  I use a laptop Acer Aspire 5610 series.

I can't get the comments XP to see my USB flash drive.  When I plug the flash drive, Windows 7, picks it up, but there is no activity at all in the Device Manager on Windows XP.  I tried to enable hidden devices, looking for material changes, booting the OS prompt with and without the connected flash drive, and I can't get the XP comments to see the flash player?

I also tried to add "usb.generic.autoconnect ="TRUE"in the .vmx file.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    -Helmet

you have not checked the usb device. Check the toolbar of the remote console - in the section usb devices.
