I have to manually install the driver for Aspire ZC-102, updates when I move Windows 8 to 10?

I was struggling with this ACER for more than a year. I have do it I have back when it was still under warranty, 14 months ago. Now I've updated free online through Microsoft for Windows 10 back in early August. I had hoped that my mess was a stack of the operating system, but unfortunately, it's still a piece. However, there is no virus. I run Malwarebytes Pro full time with it has quarantined of PUPPIES as well as McAfee Anti Virus full time. I use cCleaner to keep cut up. I NEVER garguillo or browsed porn.
I've got max 16 GB of RAM. I have very few applications other than Office 2013.

Even if this thing was a room at the time where it was running Windows 8 and 8.1, so I want to try to make it work on Windows 10 without having to start over with a clean install. That's why I asked about the drivers.

your ZC-102 will not have a direct drivers updated from Acer support, which means you have to rely on Windows Update by itself the drivers or get them by yourself.

Let me give you 3 Tips:

    1) never use Registry cleaners Windows 8.x and above all, they are no longer needed

    (2) uninstall McAfee, he kills the performance of your machine, use the antivirus windows integrated, it is good and very light

    (3) If you require loading time fast on programs, think about an SSD upgrade

  • ACER ASPIRE 471 - E1: UPDATE THE BIOS CRASH

HELLO, I NEED HELP ON THIS.

I WAS updating THE BIOS ACER ASPIRE E1 - 471 VERSION 2.11 to 2.18 BUT GOT IN FAILURE, WITHOUT NORMAL MORE to IGNITE.

WHEN UPDATING THE FILE ORIGINAL WITH THE HELP OF THE ACER SUPPORT WEB SITE, RESTART THE LAPTOP TO WINDOWS POWER ON A BACK PAGE AND DISPLAY IT ON THE SCREEN...

    UPTATING:

    TRUE BIOS VERSION: ZQS 2.11

NEW VERSION OF BIOS: ZQS 2.18

PROGRESS...: 0% AND SCOPE WITH A 100% SUCCESS

AFTER THIS, THE LAPTOP REBOOT AGAIN AND POWER BLUE LED LIGHTS UP BUT NO SCREEN...

AT THE START OF THE LAPTOP, HARD DRIVE MAKING NOISE OF POWER ON AND.

NO SCREEN, THE COMPUTER PHONE IS FREEZE.

ON THE BACK THE INFORMATION OF THIS LAPTOP, THE BOOK SAYS:

    Aspire E1-471-6683

    MODEL NO.: ZQT

    .....

    SNIDS: 31300078979

So Original BIOS was ZQS but the model said ZQT?

I have not found a repair for this model, so cannot move too much by myself.

I found some instructions on the use of USB with the FCN + ESC + Power Buttom combo...

The use of files with. FD extension inside the USB key.

I tried 1 for the test and the thing happens as users said.

Power Led flashes, USB Stick will blink for a few seconds, and then restart laptop.

    BUT STILL FREZZY.

I think I use the wrog. FD file.

ACER support website has none. This model in the FD file (or any other type of file, hit. EXE, a)

You can with ACER Support me?

Thanks, it is a client of the portable computer of mine, I'm kind of scared at the moment.

    OK, thanks for the reply.

I got the sollution and will share with you now.

[edited to conform to the guidelines]

YOU WILL NEED TO FORMAT A USB STICK WITH FAT (16) PARTITION STYLE.

    -------

NOW, THE SECRET OF. FD FILE

YOU MUST PUT IN THE USB THIS FILE WITH THE EXTENSION. FD, BUT THE ACER DOWNLOAD SITE IS ENOUGH. EXE TO THE INSTALLATION, SO YOU GO ON ANOTHER COMPUTER (INCOMPATIBLE WITH ASPIRE E1 VERSION) AND RUN THE FILE...

YOU RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE, BUT NOT CLICK NOW ON ANY BUTTON.

NOW, OPEN WINDOWS EXPLORER AND GO TO C:\USERS\(USER ACCOUNT)\AppData\Local\temp\7zS4F0C.tmp

INSIDE THIS FOLDER, YOU CAN GET THE ST. FD FILE (PERHAPS ZQS.) FD)

THAT COPY ON USB KEY AND CLOSE THE ERROR MESSAGE. (FOLDER WILL DISAPEAR AFTER THAT)

WITH THE FILE INSIDE OF THE SECONDARY KEY, FOLLOW THE MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS.

    BASICALLY:

Steps for the USB storage device BIOS recovery

To create a crisis USB key, perform the following steps:
    1. format the USB storage drive using the Quick Format option.
    2. save the ROM file (filename: ZQS.fd) in the root directory of the USB storage device. Make sure that there are no other file BIOS stored in the same directory.
    3. plug the USB storage on USB device.
    4. press the button, then connect power cable.
    5. the power button flashes once.
    6. press the Power button to start the CRISIS of the system mode.
    7. when the CRISIS is over, the system auto restarts with a possible BIOS.

    AFTER THAT

    8. update the latest BIOS version for this machine of normal BIOS flashing process.

YOU MAY HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM LIKE ME, AFTER RECOVERING FROM CRISIS, BIOS NOW SEE THE ANY HARD DISK, SO YOU MUST UPDATE THE BIOS AGAIN WITH THE HELP OF ANOTHER TOOL LIKE HIRENSBOOT HELP FIXITURE MINI_XP.

    BUT IT IS ANOTHER CONVERSATION.

    THANKS FELLOWS.

  • Aspire One 722 update USB driver.

I want to update the USB drivers for my 722 an Aspire in order to use an Android device that is not recognized by my computer. ACER driver download page listed possible downloads, but I can't say that one is for the USB drivers... for example the list includes... 3G, Audio, LAN, Bluetooth, card reader, press the button, VGA, wireless network.  I'd appreciate any help that you can tell me one that includes the USB drivers. Thank you. John

You can also check the cable, it could be defective.

  • Possible update graphics card on Equium A210

    Hello
    Once again
I was wondering if it was possible to update the graphics card in the Equium A210 for a better graphics card or how to make the most frankly graphics when you play online are shocking and the man in the shop lie seems to me :(

Sorry mate, but there is no possibility to upgrade the graphics card built into your machine, as the graphics card is "wired", which means that the integrated graphics chip is soldered on the motherboard.

So, you could upgrade RAM HDD & to increase performance, but who are the only options to get more performance out of your machine.

I think you should wait 60 days for version 10 of Windows to see if it can solve the problem.  10 Windows will automatically make sure you have good drivers (course to 99%).

It is possible that he is in fact a BIOS problem.  But all the advice I would give risk possible to break your computer permanently, and I don't want to do that because there's a pretty good computer (with the exception of windows xp).

I'm guessing Windows 10 retail copy will be cheap enough to buy.  I can't say with certainty that your computer will be in charge of windows 10, but I think it will be.

Also, even if it has nothing to do with your current number, you can not simply exchange cpu like this safely without applying new thermal paste.  There are a few videos on youtube from the manufacturers of motherboards that show you how to clean the old thermal paste and apply new thermal paste.  Make sure that the videos that you watch come from a motherboard manufacturer, not some Joe Blow.

And then if Windows 10 doesn't fix it, you have to decide at that point, if you want to take the risk of bricking messing with the BIOS of your computer permanently.

I'm sure you know that Windows XP is not supported and that there is a security risk.

    Good luck!

Edit: Here's an alternative to Windows XP that works well for older computers of XP.

  • Aspire m3420 bios update help

Hello. I'm trying to update the bios on my aspire m3420 so that I can run an evga gtx 750ti. Current BIOS is P01 - A1 on a mobo aahd3-vc. I tried to use the updates from the website of acer but after reboot, flash does not stick. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your bios is P01 - A1, you as far as you can go. Notice P01 - A1 is not in the list of the Bios. P01 - A1L is, but this isn't your bios. You will also notice the size of the BIOS there are bigger than yours and the new Bios must be the exact size as yours to install.

  • Aspire 5742G BIOS update

Hello guys. as the title know I have Aspire 5742 G and on the download section of the site, I see theres a BIOS update. Now I have the old aspire 5315 and when I tried to update my bios on it I almost he bricked. So my question is: is it safe for update my BIOS on the 5742 G and going to improve my performance of the laptop. Right now, I feel the audio offset at random times (sometimes when I listen to music or watch film of any browser and sometimes using office applications online to watch movies offline). Also when I shift + del too fast (if I close the combination within 2-3 seconds) it does not read my shift (it shows the msg to send files to don't bin not permanently remove). Tried updates of windows, restore points, driver updates, driver rollback, windows cleaning install (more than 10 times), different windows (from windows 7, windows 8 and even I tried Ubuntu). Went to assosiated local tech with Acer and they said that they are unable to find the cause of the problem. So as a last resort im concidering to BIOS update

I would say that you can create a USB bootable flash BACK drive with Rufus:

    http://Rufus.AKEO.IE/?locale=en_US

Plug in your USB key, start Rufus and then set it as on the screenshot (FAT32 or FAT doesn't matter)

Once done, copy the contents of the BIOS BACK folder at the root of the USB flash drive.

Turn off your laptop, start by pressing F12 and select UFD as a boot device, once in the DOS environment type

    Update.bat

Follow the instructions on the screen.

Please make sure your battery is charged to 100% and your charger is plugged.

  • Lightroom / not possible update (U44M2P36)

    Hello!

I'm trying to update my version of Lightroom 2015.1.1 2015.5.1 LR.

After downloading the new software installer always says: 'another installation program runs. Please close this program.

This happens with the Updater of cloud, as well as with the manual patch update.

I closed the background as much as possible programs, even turned off firewall and virus scanner. Also removed the 1.0 directory in "... \AAMUpdater."

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Oliver

I fixed it: I disabled the autostart programs Adobe (for example the update process) which are normally performed in the background. And then I was able to run the manual update.

(But since I have also disabled other programs I'm not 100% that the problem came with the Adobe programs...)

  • Pavilion KZ664AA #ABA: KZ664AA is the Windows 10 possible update, current OS Win 7 64 bit SP1 Home Prem

This model, which is already on Windows 7 Home Prem 64-bit SP1, is compatible with the upgrade to win 10?

Machine, also known as the a6567c

    [personal information]

    Memory is 8 GB/800 MHz

Board of Directors is Benicia 1.01

    BIOS 5.43

CPU Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @2.40 GHz

    Greenthumb

While the upgrade is possible from Win7, I would advise against.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem you face is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features is the specialized drivers written for the specific in your HP PC hardware - and unfortunately, there is no driver HP Win10 for your PC. HP only guarantees the compatibility of Win10 for machines manufactured after August 2013. HP is not no matter what timetable indicating when, or IF, they will produce drivers for older machines.

This means that your PC is probably NEVER going to be fully functional under Win10 because the pilots is needs for all features simply do not exist!

However, if you want to EXPERIENCE with the upgrade to see how it goes, then perform an image backup, first.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

My experience is that SIR, when you use the option of Compression high, typically allows to compress the image file recorded at about 50% of the space USED in the OS partition.  This means that if you have a 40GB and 80GB OS partition is used, MR must only about 20 GB to store the image file.

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

    Have fun experimenting with Win10!

    Good luck

  • HP Pavilion p6335d: possible updates for HP Pavilion p6355d

I plan on upgrading my CPU because I'm a player and most of the games these days requires really strong PC if I update my map graphics and RAM only without upgrading other parts too, what are my choices? If I update my RAM 16 GB, what parts I need put at level with her? (I appreciate the recommendations) What would be an upgrade at low cost for my PC (according to you) who could give me a decent high-performance.

    Hello

First of all, without changing the processor, it is unnecessary to add a gpu as new custom games run without a quad core... in this regard, your motherboard limit strongly desired that it will support only the processor upgrades.

  • ENVY TouchSmart 17 t-j100 Quad Edition - possible updates to level?

17 t-j100 Quad Edition ENVY TouchSmart

The CPU is not welded in place, but you will find that there is not much possible improvement. It is a processor i7 to 4th gen and even if you could get a one tick or 2 more quick, that the price would be astronomical, not to mention you would void the warranty. Not worth it.

No GPU upgrade is possible. The video is on a chip welded to the card.

Yes, the laptop has a second hard drive Bay and you can get an SSD (ordinary full size) to put in the first Bay to use as the startup disk. This will speed up there a lot such that you will not want to upgrade the CPU more.

  • Aspire ME600 BIOS update has made the system useless

In January 2013, I bought what I thought, it was a solid through Amazon, an Acer AME600-UR378 product. Has a fast processor and lots of RAM. As a tech geek I was sure that I made a good purchase. It wasn't super smooth, but I have advanced and added an SSD as my Starter/primary OS drive. Everything was peachy... until now.

This week, I tried to put in place the support dual monitor. When the new connection of video card was not recognized, I decided to be smart and ask help from Acer chat service before mucking around too deep into the system myself. They chatted amiably far and suggest I should update my BIOS from the system and even gave me a direct download link to the file.

The zip came with a simple pdf page and so I gave it a go. Five easy steps, flash, reboot and my machine has now been rendered useless. I now get the blue screen of death, with errors such as "start your PC configuration data is missing or contains errors." To try a refresh/reset, I get an error saying that the drive is locked. On trying to use the recovery disc I made when I got the system, it is said that this is not a recognizable disk.

I got a few things to try friends of IT operations, but none have worked. SanDisk support suggested, I update the firmare on the SSD, but it does not solve the problem.

Despite all is based on the file and the recommendation of the Acer support, I am now told by 4 different representatives (so far) that my system is under warranty and they would be happy to help once I gave them more money. I am angry and disgusted by the present, in addition to being frustrated that I can't find a solution to this day. Hours and hours of googling and research have given ideas, but none that worked.

So, I throw myself at the mercy of this forum, in the hope that someone who has some kind of idea on how I can bring my pc back to life.

    Thank you, in advance!

    Doug

    EEK.

I turn and watch the bios options.  The tab at the end should be called something like 'Boot' opposite of what it is now, I would like to put the startup mode option: legacy / UEFI.

I would also check the bios options for all which allow change of disc HARD Sata IDE to AHCI mode/Mode, ideally, you should be set to AHCI.  But keep in mind you can have a Raid option, too.

One of these "could" solve your problem.

What blue screens you get exactly? What version of bios go you to? What are the first 10 digits of your serial number of computers?
