Aspire 7714Z-4433 32-bit or 64-bit?

I need to know if my Aspire 7714Z-4433 is 32-bit or 64-bit.  He has a bad hard drive and does not start.  I replace the HARD drive and buy a new operating system (windows 7 at home, that's what he was running).  The SNID is [redacted to comply with guidelines].

    Hi michellesoto,

    ·         This is a recurring problem, or is it only once?

The event log that you pasted in the thread seems to indicate that the problem came from GoogleUpdate.exe.

I suggest you try the methods below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Try to uninstall the program.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

Method 2: Perform a clean boot to see if there is a conflict of software like the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

  • Optical drive DVD - CD (Hitachi HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT30N) not visible in Acer aspire 7741z-4633 64-bit windows 7 laptop

Drive is not detected by Device Manager and it is also absent from the Disk Manager. I deleted and reinstalled the DVD drive and installed the drivers as advertised. Then I inserted a disc of music and everything disappeared.

I checked for driver updates - this is the latest driver - it's firmware.

    It was purchased at Walmart.

    Help, please!

Also, I found mention of problems between this device and Windows 7 here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/cd-dvd-drive-missing-or-not-visible-in-computer/895cc2d5-06cf-4d3c-86d9-7816d12528fc.  It was caused, however, by an application that is running when you start Windows 7 preventing to correctly recognize the drive.  See if the thread will help.

I found the drivers here, just in case: http://www.pcpitstop.com/drivers/download/HL-DT-ST~DVDRAM~GT30N.html

  • I was sent here to discover if the Acer Aspire switch Alpha can if run win 10 32-bit

Has anyone used Acer Aspire Alphas with 32-bit Windows 10 switch successfully? We were asked to change the operating system to a customer, and I wanted to know its possible before starting.

On the acer switch 10, it has a 64-bit processor, but uses 32-bit windows, so I know not 32-bit windows can run with 63 - bit, but it may be unstable, because it was not desinged for this material. also, some drivers are no longer available for the 64-bit. In conclusion, you can install 32-bit windows on 64-bit computers, but beware of pilots not taken in charge and bugginess.

  • How to Flash player from 32-bit to 64-bit

I have the model Aspire XC 603 (64 bit) with windows 8.1

I had problems with Flash player lately & when I check my system tells me I have Flash 32-bit that explains why, in my opinion I have problems, but when I try to download 64 bit it does not allow me.

    thoughts please

    -claudia

64-bit Flash is necessary only on 64-bit browsers, that's why you have a 32-bit version of Flash player.

then download the 32-bit version for your system.

  • 64 bit sytem with vista home premium which has been randomly locking up and freezing. The error is event 6008.

I have an ACER aspire x 3200 64 bit sytem with vista home premium which has been randomly locking up and freezing. The only mistakes were event 6008 with a description of the stop system prior to (time) on (date) was not planned.
When these errors originally occurred, I returned the system to acer and they installed a new hard drive. After updating the vista system blockages continue 30 times over a period of 3 months. Acer sent me a new disk image on 3 disks that I have installed and updated on 11 October. There is no blocking until the 10/27, 10/28, and for the 3rd time today.
The closed unexpected gives a blue screen if I use the locking system to the top. I have to hold the power to restart when the system crashes.
Can someone help me solve this problem?

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.  But I guess it's too late for this for so long that there are probably no so old restore points.

If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not work, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly hit F8 key so that the start and go in safe mode with networking).  Then we will check some of your system files:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  It will scan and try to solve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a cause.

If this does not work, then please post repetitive errors in Event Viewer on the stop (Start / Control Panel / administrative tools / Event Viewer).  Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic40108.html.  From what I understand, there is none of the events (which surprises me because a freeze should certainly generate an error event).

If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html as well as the upgrade from an earlier version of the Windows section of the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side. If other procedures do not work, it is almost certain to work (but you NEED a disc).  You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs).  If the version on system with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled cane and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to do a slipstream drive as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.

I hope one of these procedures can solve your problem.  If this isn't the case, after return and we will try something else.  Return message anyway so we know how it turns out.

    Good luck!

  • Acer Aspire R7: Touchscreen suddenly stopped working

    Hey everybody,

I have an Aspire R7 (running 64-bit Windows 8). Yesterday morning my touchscreen suddenly stopped working.

After each start, I see an error in the event log stating something like "Driver\WUDFRd could not load the driver for the device HID\VID_0483 & PID_91D1 & Col01\7 & 1b0945e0 & 0 & 0000.

In Device Manager there is no device showing an error or something. In the category "Monitor" it is only a PnP monitor listed - shouldn't the TouchInput unit shown here? Edit: I also looked through the HID devices: the appliance with the ID hardware event log message is not there, too.

I tried reinstalling the drivers HID-monitor using Acer Recovery Manager, but nothing else happens after showing some information like 'installation'. Also, there is no change in Device Manager.

I also removed the "PnP Monitor' of Device Manager and began a 'search for new hardware", but that doesn't lead to the "PnP Monitor' be reinstalled.

I also perform a factory reset, but that did not help, as well.

I would really appreciate help from anyone. I'm at work now, so I wouldn't be able to test stuff until about 17:00 (MEST).

    Kind regards

    Jan

I found the reason of my touch screen doesn't respond do not: if I position the screen in a very precise angle - 'almost' tablet mode - the screen reacts to the keys and of the previously disabled HID devices becomes active. I had sent in my laptop for repair after a default display - apparently in some sort the touch sensor was not back in place correctly when the screen has been replaced

Seems that now I have to send my laptop in another repair (making three repairs for this laptop - the default mentioned display occurred after the motherboard has been replaced by the same Acer repair center)

  • Windows 8 for computer laptop TV HDMI not working not

Acer Aspire V5-571P/64-bit. Was able to connect to the Sony TV with no problems until I recently updated for Windows 10 from 8.1 to win. Win 10, WinLogo + P displays the projection screen options, but any of these options to connect to my TV as I could do before the update.

Downgraded to win 8.0 Intel VGA driver (v9.17.10.2828) but was still unable to connect. Win 10 did not allow the installation of Win 8.1 Intel VGA driver, even in compatibility mode.

Can anyone offer any advice on what I have neglected or hurt? Thank you.

  • Printers are not recognized, although visible and properly installed

First of all; Thanks in advance for your help. Many hours spent in research without result. I am currently running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 on an Acer Aspire X 3200-64 - bit. Recently, I ran a software (don't remember the name) which removes the "bloatware" preinstalled on computers in large areas. Be applied semi-ordinateur, I tend to exceed my capacities and I believe I also deleted a file that is necessary for the systΦme can recognize the printers... Or... Adobe associate... Or... not as likely, a question of IE. How far am I curious.

    Plug

    Acer Aspire X 3200-64 bit

Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2

    2 different printers tried:

    HP Photosmart C3180 - all-in-One

    Dell Photo 924 all-in-one reference

    Adobe Reader X

IE 9 (does not work on IE 8)

    Actions - comments

Ran 'bloatware' remover - next print attempt failed (assuming that I deleted something I have not) what follows is a list of symptoms.

-Always visible as a printer available and all administrative options are available and seem to work fine with the ready state.

-Print the test/alignment page still works

-When you try to print from the internet the following message is displayed: "Before you can run a task related to printers, install a printer"... printers are always shown as ready and available , but the option is grayed out

-Adobe crashes when you attempt to print as soon as you press the printed confirmation - "Adobe has stopped working".

-Outlook shows "print is not available. There is no printer installed. ' - although, apparently, they are installed and functional drivers

-Ran that all printer related error utilities that I could find... spools are beautiful, updated version, correct 64-bit drivers, etc..

-Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer - no luck

-Borrowed from someone other printer Dell - no luck... which leads me to believe it is some part in communications hardware

I can't understand it. My next step is reformatting the system whole darn. :) Your guidance is appreciated!

    towens777,

    Repair IE8 (IE7) and IE9

    For the Dell 924 printer...

First run delete print jobs to remove all print jobs stuck in the queue.

    Unplug the printer.

Download and run the patch (cleaning printer utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

Restart your computer. Make sure that the printer is deleted. Driver Manual printer removal

Download and install the 64 bit Vista drivers. You will get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at the moment (power on)

You will find links to the patch/drivers to...

    Dell 924 Photo-All - In - One Printer owners thread (W7)

Do not forget that firewalls and anti-virus programs will block communications.

If everything does not work, you may need to run the system restore both before running this program.

  • Microsoft Works will not copy - paste from a website.

I think I ran across of junk on the internet that it messed up, but I don't know enough about this to say. Microsoft Works will allow me to copy everything that I have stressed on a web page. However, when I try to paste on a works document the program tells me that "the information you copied exceeds the size limit to paste into the word document. Try to reduce the size of your choice and copy and paste again". Information can be as small as the letter 'I' and I get the same message. My computer is an Acer Aspire with a 32-bit system and around the age of 3 months. Unfortunately, I am using windows Vista

  • Well, when I manually put my computer to sleep or simply close the lid of my laptop, it reboots completely.

I had this problem before. I resolved for a few days, but then the problem reappeared. So I decided to wipe my hard drive and reinstall Windows Vista Home basic. I have Acer Aspire 5735-4774, 32-bit. I already went through all the parameters of power and its advanced settings as I was told the last time. Everything seemed OK, but I still have the problem.
