Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n Dualband Module wireless

I have a HP Pavilion model p6230y product NY549AA-ABA with an Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n Module dual band wireless and can't do the network card to connect my band of 5 GHz of my e3000 dual n router. I connect for the 2.4 ghz but not the 5 GHz. The router's radio on 161 for 5 ghz channel and channel 9 to 2.4 ghz. The driver for the network card is 8.0.0.376 and dated 23/11/2010. Does anyone else have this problem, and everyone has been able to solve.

I've updated to the version of June 2012 from the driver to the version of November 2010 and had wireless connection problems.  (100% failure).

A cable worked fine.

I rolled back the driver and it worked fine.

I have Win 7 64 bit on an HP Pavilion with the map the open topic - connection with the Basic WEP wireless

Hello, I had problems updating my Qualcomm Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n dual band Wireless Network driver Module. I looked as hard as I could to find out how to determine the number of chipset, but no cigar. I even took a peek inside my computer to see if I could find something, but that was of no use. Hello:

I have compressed upward and attach the file atheros.cz that you need (under attachments below).

Note that it is only good for W8 and older, so it may not work on W10.

I also read a post from another Member of the forum, which wants to install W10 where MS W10 compatibility checker reports that the wireless card you have is not supported.

So... try this and if it works, unfortunately, you will need to get a new wireless card.  I suggest you only watch on maps wireless dual band usb external.

Download and uncompress the file that I attached to his record.

Go to Device Manager and click on the network controller needing drivers.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder, that you unzipped.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

The hardware ID you posted is present in the driver installation information file.

    Hello

    You are the very welcome.

I bought an Actiontec Powerline adapter. It was about 50,00 USD.

Everything will work. Dear sound usually gives a higher flow.

You don't have to uninstall the card wireless on your PC.

Really easy to implement. Plug an adapter into the wall socket close to router. The provided plug ethernet cable into the port on the router and the port on the wall adapter. Repeat the process by plugging it to the wall adapter near your PC. Connect the ethernet cable supplied to the wall jack and the ethernet port on the PC.

    You're good to go.

  • Atheros 802.11 Driver does not not on HP Pavilion a6857c desktop PC

    Hello

I have a strange problem with my capacity wireless on my computer. Initially, I had connected my computer to my WiFi with no problems, then a while later, start the computer, the wireless wouldn't connect. When I looked for the driver (Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n dual band Wireless Network Module), it had disappeared from everywhere: network pilots, research, etc.. I have to restart the computer several times until the pilot showed once again and I was able to use the wireless.

Now, the pilot has disappeared completely. I looked all over my computer and cannot locate. My page says wireless network is not available. Even after several re - start, he disappeared, and I can't access my WiFi. I tried to download from the HP site and get the message "your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update. Update has been canceled. (9996) ' I've even used the tool directly on the site of Atheros, and it will scan the computer and says nothing about the driver is missing or defective; It is there just not on the list.

Then I did the HP system recovery to reinstall the Atheros driver, but he still isn't where on my computer and wireless capability vanished. I'm at a total loss about what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

  • HP 14 laptop: how to replace the QCA9565 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter

    Hello

I have a laptop HP 14 which is currently used for academic purposes. Is it is possible to replace the card, then you have suggestions of what to buy and how to install the product in my book. If there is a free alternative, please keep me informed.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The discussion is a little confuse
Have you checked the Device Manager and checked her if the Wlan card driver has been correctly installed? Check it out.

But back to the root. The device seems to be a mobile American. I put t know if the American notebooks come with drivers CD or not, but normally you should have the drivers on the support. If this isn't the case, then the image of Toshiba contains options for creating a CD of drivers and tools clean.

The laptop with Atheros Wlan card supports also an Atheros Wlan client utility.
This sets up the WiFi connection. You have 2 options. You will use the clean Windows configuration or you will disable her and use Atheros client utility.

But in a first time, you must activate the Wlan with the switch on the side of the laptop and the Fn + F8 key combination

    Hello:

The list of parts below to your laptop says that it comes with a card without thread/Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 bluetooth, so you have the Intel for W8.1 bluetooth driver.

  • Window7 & RaLink 802.11n & problem of the Netgear WPN824v2 router wireless connection

Kevin Hau recommends a new thread to solve individual problems.  It's here.  In February 2010, I bought a new LG X 130 notebook with Windows 7 starter pre-installed.  On the first day, connection Wi - Fi was intermittent, although wired connection works well.  Links for laptop to a Netgear WPN824 V2 router.  This router has a wired to my PC and wireless for Toshiba laptop of my wife.  These work perfectly.  The latter two works on Win 7 Home Premium.

I put WEP as a security measure for the router and wireless connections.  The LG X 130 connect wirelessly from a cold start about 25% of the time.  When it is not connected, no problems.  It should be necessary to restart, otherwise the computer expires then all that I get is "no connection is available" and there is absolutely no way to reconnect.  Cold boot does not work and the computer seems to need to set off for several days before it will condescend to connect again.

Internet gives hundreds of 'my solutions' research which none appear not to work.  All the drivers are up to date and the latest versions.  I tried without security, WPA, WPA2, as some people suggest that 802.11n does not support WEP.  I tried b & g 108Mbps mode rather than by car.  All of these more recent attempts have failed to get any connection. On a recent trip away, the laptop could find the hotel network, but not connect to it.  He made a useful paper weight!

The problem is clearly intermittent.  The laptop was returned twice to LG.  For the first time, they reinstalled everything, got a connection and returned.  The second time, they got a call and returned.  I can get connections, but I can't keep or make it reliable.

    Grateful for a solution.

  • 700 - 515xt envy: Broadcom 43142 802.11 bgn internal card and 5 Ghz wireless

    Hello

After purusing these cards looking for an answer I seemed to have stumbled on one. My card is a card of 2.4 ghz and the BGN is really mean 2.4 and if I wanted a double band I needed to have an AGN or similar suffix.

That said it has been also mentioned that bluetooth is a component of the AGN card. The envy has bluetooth capability as well. So if this isn't the correct card to operate at 5 GHz, can someone from HP recommends a proper map?

My router is double diffusion (separate names for 2.4 and 5) and passes. I can see the two SSID broadcast on other devices, but not on this computer.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Alan in Dallas.

There is nothing that can be done with your current card. It must be replaced by an adapter Wireless 2.4 / 5 GHz. to remove the old card and replace it with a new mini PCIE half card... or replace it with a full size PCIe... or use a USB adapter.

  • Unfamiliar wireless on my PC

I use Norton Internet Security, which has a map of network security.  I checked the details on this card and made an interesting discovery.  The map showed a Wistron Corp. wireless adapter.

That said, I am not using a router at the moment.  I checked the Device Manager and the only network cards that are appearing are the usual: Realtek and Atheros, think I have not been able to update any of the Device Manager.  Here are the outdated maps and I know there is more current.

My question is, how can I find out about this Wistron wireless adapter?  Never heard of him and were not able to find anywhere on my computer, but Norton grabbed.

    Thank you very much
