Atheros Driver for DV7-1245dx.

Hello, I recently had a failure of the HD on a DV7 1245dx. Put in a new HD and install Vista Home Premium 32 bit, I went to the HP website to solve my driver problems. All the drivers seem to be working fine except for one problem. HP does not have my Wireless driver listed, I installed the Broadcom driver nothing works, uninstalled and installed the driver from Intel. Still, no luck, so I removed the back panel of the laptop and observed card and its FCC ID numbers and the number of the IC. Trace the numbers online and it is an Atheros wireless card. GoTo Atheros.com and they clearly say that they offer no support for the driver and I need to contact my manufacturer. I'm obviously between the hammer and anvil and Im going to hunt down my driver to the atheros.cz I can't assess the security of this Web site. HP simply cares customer support/service more. I had this problem in the past, but it has been easily resolved by finding a similar pattern around the same date of production and to do this way. My clients now see why I never recommend products HP to them... any help? or I have to wait for Amelie to send me the recovery disk that probably does not have the right driver even when...

If all drivers are working, then you should be able to run Windows Update and have it automatically detect and install the drivers.

  • 2000-2b09WM HP: Atheros driver for Win7 64 bit?

    Hi guys.

    I install Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit) PC portable HP 2000 - 2b09WM of my wife.

I found a post on this site, which gave me a link to sp63802.exe, a driver for Qualcomm Atheros AR9000 series Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 7, downloaded from http://h20566.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_123851_1

This driver has not worked for me.

Now I remember this same situation, once before. This ethernet card requires a 32-bit version of Win7? Or is there another driver, I can use?

    Thank you.

    Hello:

It seems that the Web site is down.

You might have used the driver Realtek LAN series HP 2000z-2 to 00, which is a complete set of W7 x 64 drivers that can be used on your model.

Because the site doesn't work, use the ethernet driver directly from Realtek... second one on the list.

    ? problem with IDT driver?

? reinstalling driver for AMD Hi Def Audio device would correct the problem?

Please respond by email that I am currently in the Mexico...   Thanks, kj

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp58001-58500/sp58131.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are done, download and reinstall your graphics driver on the link below, as it will also reinstall the Chipset drivers and driver Audio HDMI AMD.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp54501-55000/sp54992.exe

Once the relocation complete, shut down the laptop.  Then disconnect the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • audio driver for DV6-1245DX for x 86 XP

I found supposed links drivers for this PC for x 86 XP audio material, but the only one I had to install successfully is for Vista. I have legitimate need and fully functioning x 86 XP drivers for the audio hardware in my DV6-1245DX.

I have audio, currently, but the main problem (only) left to solve with this laptop becomes the audio sockets (headphone) at the front of the thing to work. I guess the mic socket probably doesn't work properly, either, but I have yet to try it.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that these plugs work, I have GENERALLY produce music early in the morning and I like / NEED to strong volume. I don't want to disturb my neighbors (in the next room), so it is quite critical that these outlets are working properly.

When I connect my headphone completely, no sound is transmitted through them either. If I plugged half I get mono from them (one side of the works helmet), and the product always laptop sound, too.

Can someone please link to an x 86 XP driver for the audio hardware inside my DV6-1245DX? I don't want to have to wait 6-8-infinite weeks for my windows 7 free upgrade to get here (which, by the way, forced me to buy vista first. Please do not participate in it, HP!)

    Hello

    Try this driver here.

This is your driver win7, but I got confirmation from a user in this forum while he works great under XP.

Before installing the audio driver uninstall the first an old man of your system.

    Just reply on the results.

  • 64-bit Windows 7 driver for Atheros AR5007 in dv7-1468nr

I have been in communication with Microsoft and HP technical support both on this issue.

Can we please have a time frame on how long before that we will have a driver for the wireless card that is in this model the actual 64-bit?

I don't want to sound rude here, but Acer has been much easier to get around the problem of driver for windows 7.

Microsoft did confirm this evening that there is no 64-bit for this AR5007 driver and back to HP.

Atheros seems to deal specifically with suppliers more with the support of its prodiucts, as it is my return to HP after six years of absence and the fact that my company is jumping through the hoops for the HP partnership, I would like an honest answer from an employee of HP.

How long before that this driver is available in 64 bits?

Until that time, all of the product is worthless for me as a professional and as a student for the simple reason that when you try to use a suppliant of security required for authentication, the network manager crash when using the measure of 802. 1 x. Microsoft has identified that specifically a driver related issue because there is no driver 64-bit available.

Not to play against each other here, but in my profession and in my studies, I tend to promote these products that seem to work better and where assistance is available. The Acer also contained an Atheros card, but it was changed to use a broadcom driver in Windows 7. No idea why or how, I know that it works and it supports the Cisco PEAP supplicant, which is an important issue with the dv7-1468nr and Windows 7 with the Atheros AR5007 wireless device.

Other related driver issues such as the multimedia remote that might be expected given that windows 7 has not officially released, but when I contacted support on the card reader does not not (another feature that works out of the box on an Acer hardware), I was told basically sorry charlie, good luck. Fortunately, I was able to locate an XP driver for the card reader works. The media remote is a trivial question, but the wireless is a serious problem. If it cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, I fear I will be boxing it up to return to where it was purchased, as defective. the deployment is in a few days...

lets hope that we can really appropriate at this time that drivers.

After three long sessions with Microsoft and a few sessions where I was not very tolerable with the "apology" given for drivers not made available via the website of HP, I was able to refine the exact question to something other than a real driver file.

If the question was not in fact the driver file, it does not change the fact that HP should provide drivers on their website that they will BE supported for all operating systems promoted regardless of the version (Home Basic, premium, professional, ultimate, etc..). It became a problem in my final conversation of a HP technician before they gave me a link to a driver file real 64 bit, of course claim immunity from liability for any damage as a result of the application. The link of this driver is here.

Now for the real root of the problem.

On the new installation, there are several devices that have remained unknown in Device Manager.

Day after day, a lesbianism HP drivers and applications to solve problems.

What was actually the connection magaer crash on trying to manually create a connection by using the Cisco's PEAP Protocol was a corrupt application of Cisco installation. Through the process of trying to repair the installation and actually manually change the registry and remove all traces of the application with Microsoft in the remote session, it was determined that the system had become corrupt and need a fresh 'custom' install.

After installation, using all the HP and Microsoft drivers only, (no application of third party still installed) I have successfully install the 64-bit application Cisco PEAP for 64-bit Vista and create the connection which is required.

To date, there is only one problem with this laptop and I expect a fix from HP for it in the coming days.

The HP MediaSmart application for this machine special 64-bit is always just a touch unstable running Windows 7 Professional.

I hope that it can save someone else the days of frustration I endured everything in trying to solve this problem.

I bought a Probook 4530 s with an Atheros AR5B195 WLAN & Bluebooth card, but I can't find the Win 7 drivers on the support page (or any work of drivers also on the Internet)...

I was looking at this page and can not find the necessary drivers:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Tony

Yes, I understand, that this card is also a bluetooth device, but * no * od drivers for the card.

This is correctly referred to in the description of the files (and I also tried to download these drivers, but they did not work).

But I was lucky to find even more of this forum and found this topic:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and/Pavilion-dv7-1247cl-need-driver-for-Atheros-AR5BXB92-wireless/m-p/385255#M49313

When it was suggested to try this file:

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp50001-50500/sp50498.exe

Although it is not listed specifically for my WLAN card model I tried anyway and works out of the box.

    Thank you all!
