ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1) driver for Windows 7?

Hello world. I recently upgraded my Lenovo ThinkPad T400 Vista Enterprise OS to Windows 7 Enterprise (32 bit). Everything seemed to work fine except one thing - the graphics.

Some games like the Sims 3 and Left 4 Dead can be played, but they were choppier before the upgrade. Left 4 Dead 2 could not be played at all. Only, he launched and disappeared. I already made sure I use my laptop on the 'Best Performance', as usual before the upgrade.

Then, I realized something. Graph of my laptop was running:

Mobile Intel(r) 45 Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)

I couldn't find any possibility to my ATI graphics card pre-loaded, I could do before. Then I ran the Device Manager and discovered that my "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series (Microsoft Corporation WDDM 1.1)" have the status of: "this device cannot start. (Code 10) ». I tried to update the driver by means of the function "update driver... "in Manager devices but according to Windows, I already had the latest version of the driver software.

I went to Lenovo support site to look for the latest driver for the graphics card, and they have none for Windows 7. I searched the net, but nothing helped. Is - it still be released? If so, roughly when? I hope that it won't take long, or else my video card will be wasted. Thank you.

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise, I can't use Windows Update since it is controlled by WSUS. In any case, after hours of discussion with COMPUTER experts at my place of work, none of them could solve the problem. They even said I can never run my video card once again, because it is not compatible with Windows 7.

But I won't give up.

After hours to find a solution, I decided to download and try the "ThinkPad Switchable Graphics Driver for Windows 7 - ThinkPad R400, T400, T500, W500" and guess what? It worked! Catalyst centre was also installed. Who knew it was the switchable graphics driver when the ATI card was the only one shown in Device Manager for not working.

I hope this works for all of you who have had the same problems as me. See you soon!

    HiLeeroySylvano,

Don't know what exact version of the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series driver you are using, but I suspect it's v8.93.xxx. To check:

    • [Win] + X
    • Device Manager
    • Go to the section graphics cards
    • Right click on your ATI graphics card you select Properties
    • Go to the driver tab and check what happens next to the Version of the driver

If do not run v13.1 I suggest the following:

    1. The point of creating a Windows restore - just in case...
    2. Download (do not install immediately) v13.1 AMD Catalyst Display Driver here if you are running a 64 bit version of Windows 8, or from here , if you are running a 32-Bit version
    3. Download and install Driver Sweeper here
    4. Uninstall your ATI graphics driver
    5. Run Driver Sweeper audit "ATI - display" only
    6. Install the AMD Catalyst v13.1 downloaded to #2 display driver

    I hope this helps.

    Is this possible?

    Thank you

    Steve

    Hello

The bad news is that you are not able to change the video card on your ThinkPad, even if you can solder like a machine. The change of position of the structure and chips plus additional cooling system will make your ThinkPad resemble a mutant in any case, his is not technically possible.

  • Biometric USB peripheral input and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 series

    Hello

I installed windows 8 pro in my HP dv6 3300 ev Notebook.

    Everything ok except two questions.

First, in the Device Manager, in biometric devices, USB biometric Input Device does not!

The poster message in properties, general tab is

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation failed}
    The requested operation failed.

Second issue is with my adapters display, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.20) that does not work too!

I also have the same message

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation failed}
    The requested operation failed.

    Any ideas?

It seems that this system has not been certified for Windows 8 basic still on the list of drivers .

The graphics driver is going to be the most important issue due to the switchable graphics, it seems to use (Intel and AMD). Due to the switchable graphics, a pilot out of HP will be the only way to get the switchable graphics to work really the same as it did before Windows 8 due to differences in driver architecture.

You can try to install the driver Validity Sensor and SimplePass software, but I know that this does not work on my system which is in the same category as your system when it comes to Windows 8.

Maybe the best solution is to return to the old operating system with a recovery until there are drivers of Windows 8 (I don't know if or when this will happen). I'm sorry.

This model is not designed and qualified for windows 8, there was no windows 8 at the time this PC has been designed. This PC has not seen pilots of dual graphics for windows 8 that is why you may not be able to use discrete graphics card (AMD). your PC is running on Intel Graohic card only.

  • HP DeskJet 722C (720 Series) could not find the new driver for Windows 7

I upgraded my OS to Windows 7, I had XP.  My HP Deskjet 722C worked fine, now it doesn't.  No driver Windows 7 on HP Web site.  Is there a solution?  Is there a solution?

If you use a 32-bit version of Windows 7, you can add a driver using the following: go to the folder devices and printers, add printer, the local printer, LPT1: (or the parallel port regardless of the printer is connected to the), select the Deskjet 720C driver.  You may need to click the Windows Update button if the pilot does not initially in the list.

If you use a 64 bit version of Windows 7 there is not a solution at this stage, the supplied drivers have a problem.

I managed to find a solution and it could be applicable to other users.

Step 1: Go to http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/home.aspx and search of your graphics card.

Step 2: once you find the list, select the suitable driver for windows 7 (WDDM) that are compatible with windows 8.

Step 3: download. Run it and extract it in a specific folder.

Step 4: Go to control panel, then system, then Device Manager, then the graphics card, then right click to update device software.

Step 5: Select Browse my computer for driver software. In the next window, select the folder where you extracted the driver. That will solve the problem.

For my portable 32-bit with ATI Mobility Radeon X 600, I chose the "ATI Technologies Inc. driver update for MOBILITY RADEON X 600 SE (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM).

  • How to get the right drivers for ati mobility radeon graphics card 9200 after updating to windows 7

I bought a laptop computer, an HP Compaq nx7010.  This has been upgraded to windows 7, but the graphics are bad.  There is a sticker on the unit: Graphics by ATI Mobility Radeon 9200

How can I get the correct driver to get corrected the desktop resolution? Everything is tense or too big.

Driver update tools keep telling me this is an adapter to graphics standard VGA etc and if I try to update the adapter it device manager says that they are up to date.

    It's frustrating

    Hello:

I think that Erico post driver will work, but it cannot simply install by running.

Download it and run it.  If IT errors out or is not installed, then this:

Go to Device Manager and click on the VGA Standard controller.

Then click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.  Select the 'Browse my computer for software' and navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the driver.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp30204.  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and I hope that the driver will be installed.  If this isn't the case, you are unfortunately out of luck.

The video card in your laptop (Mobility Radeon 9200) is not Direct X 9 capable it is why it does not work.  In other words, it is not windows vista or windows 7 capable.

If you are able to get the driver to install to be able to change your resolution, which is the best you can do.

You don't have Aero with this adapter - never.

Whenever someone plans to upgrade a PC older than one made in 2006, it is essential for them to run the free Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to avoid disappointment.
