Attach the Nikon d7000 and live view

I use LR cc running on an iMac with El Capitan.  Can I attach my Nikon d7000 to LR without problem but I am not able to switch to mode live view when the camera is attached. Appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you.

Hi Kzaner,

  • Viewfinder and live view focus

    Before the AF points while looking through the viewfinder, I had it places generic development of the box, as well as for the liveview one. Now I have these annoying red red AF points. I would like to revert to the earlier version of the format/system, but do not know how. Can someone please explain?

    For more information, I read on (and it the manual) and done a reset with nothing doesn't.

    Thank you

    What camera do you use?

    You say you have 'small red dots' in the viewfinder, or mode live view.  These points are your focus points does not with Live View (which uses a different, lower development system).  They are actually quite important for the use of a digital SLR, but you can choose to use or not.

    For the viewfinder you don't have choice (assuming you are using a digital SLR).  You look at the actual image, through the lens.  There is no graphics in there, other than the LED on the bottom that you tell your settings and these focus areas incorporated into the screen.  If you are using a device with an electronic viewfinder, which is not necessarily true, but that the way this is the EOS forum I will assume that you are using a digital SLR, which don't have an electronic viewfinder.

    If you try to change the settings in Live View mode, I have to rely on someone else, I don't really use it.  But I would not be surprised if you can choose between the box and the points.

    I am trying to create a model DW. There is difference between mode and Live View. The model contains only a list of navigation style. In Design view, the list is displayed vertically - what is incorrect. In Live View mode, that the list is displayed horizontally - correct.

  • Nikon D7000 and Lightroom and elements

    I just bought a Nikon D7000 and cannot open RAW images in Lightroom 2 or 7 elements.  I used these 2 programs successfully with pictures from my Nikon D70s.  If someone has encountered this problem?

    You need Lightroom 3.3 or Elements 9 to process Nikon D7000 raw photos.

    An alternative is to download the DNG Converter (version 6.3) and convert your D7000. NEF files to DNG, in which case your elements and Lightroom versions will be able to process DNG photos.

    I suggest that allows you to remove any CLSIDS listed under location:

    Note: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Double click on the photo (my photo) causes PC freeze with message "not responding" (scheduled for the windows fax and picture viewer)

    WINDOWS XP

    "This program is not responding...". »

    I then have to click on the right upper window X two times to close the window. When it closes Finally, everything on the desktop disappears for about 3 seconds then reappears as if the PC restarted, but it does not actually restart.

    My images, the other day, all open without this feeze/final issue. I don't have these problems when you use Windows XP Paint, Jasc Paint Shop, or Quicktime to open images, once set by default... Just does not work with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer more and all my photos are already defined (default) to open with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer - clicking Properties confirms this.

    Also, if I right click on the individual image to 'open with' and manually choose 'open with' Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, it will then open and I can scroll all the following pictures an image in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. "But I can't just click on an individual picture, otherwise, it will freeze just straight up.  Difficulty It Center Microsoft could not automatically repair because the shimgvw.dll file already exists.

    I used to always use Windows Picture and Fax Viewer with no such problems. I have not the slightest idea what happened... even though I was messing around with 1) Component Services > Security Com > permissions & launch Activate and Run permissions) 2 > Regedit > Edit > "Permissions" last week and changed "Registered Owner" in HKEY LOCAL MACHINE and some other stuff like that. Could permissions and changing names have caused this unexpected problem in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer? If so, the changes I made will not be changed back, then how can I fix a broken Windows Picture and Fax Viewer?  And if these changes, last week, have nothing to do with this "opening images in the image Windows and Fax Viewer problem,' so what?

    I did your suggestion before posting here. I saw the same solution as your addition, the interpreter, but it does not solve the problem because I already had the shimgvw.dll etc. in their proper place and my photos/images were not always open with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer the way I wanted them to open.

    Since I got my photos all open as I wanted (as before) this way to use Windows Picture and Fax viewer:

    Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types: I changed then each file/folder associated with 'images' to open with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I determined this by reading the details for each extension / the item highlighted. If the referenced details 'images', I then clicked on change and choose Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to open the extension.

    I went through everything everyone who was not obvious that they are. I made a change: BMP, GIF, EMF, JFIF, JPE, JPEG, etc... I changed at least 12 (more than I thought it was).

    Immediately after changing all of these types of files, I rebooted and Windows Picture and Fax Viewer was still working the way I wanted to (as before).

  • Attach the Nikon D7200 shooting

    No tethering work of shooting with the Nikon D7200 and lightroom 5 on a mac (OS X 10.10.)?

  • The question regarding the positioning (differences between Design view and live view)

    I don't know how to perform the same search to see if this has been asked, nor how to properly ask the question... but here goes...

    I have a div id "container" which is limited to large 968px.  Inside that I want to have 2 columns (one containing nothing else than a background image) next to each other.

    I called a left_column and other right_column.

    The background image will be in the left column and is high by wide 290px 550px.

    I used CSS to define the following:

    {#left_column}

    background-color: #FFF;

    background-image: url (.. / images/waterfall.jpg);

    background-repeat: no-repeat;

    position: relative;

    height: 550px;

    Width: 290px;

    margin-right: 10px;

    float: left;

    }

    {#right_column}

    height: 550px;

    Width: 650px;

    margin-left: 10px;

    padding-left: 12px;

    position: relative;

    left: 10px;

    }

    In "design mode" everything seems wonderful.  When I go to the live view (and/or browserlab) the text in the right-hand column shows the usable space is only 300px.

    If I change the width of the right_column to 'auto' can live view (and/or browserlab) everything seems all I want, but in the view design right_column width is closer to 900px and goes the WAY out of the container (which makes it very difficult to see the text as I type).

    No idea what I messed up?  What other details do you need?

    Thanks in advance.

    I wanted the left and right columns to be the same height, so the footer doesn't look like it has been 'floating' lower from one side to the other.  The width is controlled by the banner image 968px.

    Columns of Google to 'false '. It is a technique that requires a background image set to "container".

    . The image is repeated behind the "right column
    to fill the depth and give the impression that the two columns are of equal height.

    mikemendo wrote:

    In the left column photos is a background image, so if I put the height and width, then the image is not of appropriate size.  The reason why I did a background image was to follow the advice of David Powers in his article on "your first site.

    This technique is good to use.

    At present the total width of all your elements adds to 982px that is wider than your container attached to 968px. Margin and padding ARE added to the width of a 'container' if:

    290px + 10px = 300px

    650px + 12px 10px 10px plus 682px

    TOTAL = 982px

    You can adjust the math for the total width does not exceed the width of your "container".

    Use this css and everything should work:

    #container {}

    overflow: hidden;

    margin: 0 auto;

    Width: 968px;

    background-image: url (.. / images/rightColBg.gif)

    background-repeat: repeat-y;

    }

    {#left_column}

    background-color: #FFF;

    background-image: url (.. / images/waterfall.jpg);

    background-repeat: no-repeat;

    Width: 290px;

    margin-right: 10px;

    float: left;

    }

    {#right_column}

    Width: 656px;

    padding-left: 12px;

    float: left;

    }

    #footer {}

    Clear: both;

    }

  • Attach the question lightroom and Nikon D300.

    I am a student and am to shoot captive under the program, that I am. I just bought a Nikon D600 and have so far been able it attaches to lightroom 4. Is there a way to get around this? While Lightroom 4.2 added support for raw D600 (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html) files, it has not added support for attachment the D600 (http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/tethered-camera-support-lightroom-4.html).
