Audio Audio AppleTV4 output parameters

My AppleTV 4 settings has a section for "Audio and video".  If you select this option, you see a "Audio output" setting.  The two options I see here are: "AppleTV" and "STR-DN850" (which is my Sony Audio-video receiver).  The AppleTV is connected via HDMI to Sony STR-DN850.

I had assumed that this setting must be on the Sony receiver - as it is the device of driving my speakers.  However, you can select "AppleTV" and the system is still running, and I hear audio.

No one knows what mean these settings?  How can you choose the AppleTV when there are no speakers connected?

As usual, the Apple manual does not provide an explanation for these parameters.  Can anyone help?

David

I suspect that your receiver is capable of AirPlay and your Apple TV is in seeing and offering you the connection on AirPlay. Personally I wouldn't have this option to use the wired connection to the place that is the option called 'Apple TV'

It's a QuickTime .mov file. Now, you can do it is a PNG with AE sequence if you wanted, but I didn't think this is what you wanted. Select QuickTime as the format and PNG in the codec section. If you make sure you choose RGB + Alpha in your output module, you will also get your alpha channel.

  • Restore the output parameters

    Hello world

I played with different output parameters to find the most perfect setting to make my animation.

Now, I would like to return to the default settings which, after effects, came with, but I can't find a reset button? If I restart the program, he remembers the last setting that I used.

Any idea on how I could do this?

  • Call stored procedures and using its output parameters in a report

    Hello

I have a procedure defined in a package on the database. This procedure returns a number of output parameters. How to call this procedure and use the output parameters in my report?

    Thank you, Mark

Depends on the level at which the procedure should be called. If its at the State level, call the form in the trigger-REPORT-BEFORE (or AFTER-PARAMFORM) and store the off-values space reserved columns. These you can use anywhere in your report.

  • 52 "Regza TV Audio - HDMI-output optical audio problem does not

    Hello

friend of mine has a Regza 52 "LCD TV.
She's trying to connect its apple TV & Optus Fetch device (cable TV) on the HDMI inputs and then having the audio outpot of optical fiber audio outpot to his BOSE amplifier.

My understanding is that when you select an HDMI input, then the video and audio must be addressed.
So you should see the video on the HDMI channel and need to hear the sound.

What is happening is that she sees the video selected on the HDMI channel, but not audio, the sound heard is actually free in the atmosphere of television station that had been retained.

We tried all the TV menu options successfully.

How do we get the optical audio output to be on the instructions of the HDMI input?

    Thanks for the help
    Peter

    Hi Peter

All this should not be so complicated. Using an HDMI cable, you can transmit video and audio to external device to TV signals. For example, if you use the HDMI 1 port and turn on the V you should see the picture and hear the sound of the TV.

For audio, you can use an external device like Hi-Fi receiver or this BOSE amplifier. Using the optical audio output of fiber on your TV, you should hear the TV sound look no matter what external device is the source or which channel you. What you see on the TV the sound comes through this amplifier.

I have this BOSE unit, but all I know is that when you want to hear his amplifier the right port or channel must be enabled there.

I use my Toshiba TV connected to the Yamaha V537 amplifier with optical cable and it is listed under AV4 port. So when I want to hear the sound on my Yamaha I need to enable port AV4 on it and its is here.
Some additional settings on the TV are not necessary. Optical output on the TV is always on (see the red light on the inside).

Check this please on BOSE amplifier.

  • Satellite A350 - audio line output and speakers

How can I set the speakers muted but still have sound that crosses the line of connection?

    Hello

Default setting is when you connect the headphones or external speakers using audio output as speaker port will be switched off automatically. So I'm really confused why this doesn t work with your laptop. Maybe you have changed some settings.

In any case, check read settings in the properties of sound and all thet settings Audio Manager, you can find in the Panel.

In the sound settings, the high definition Audio Device is always disconnected. I read that there was a problem with background sound via ports audio on an earlier execution of these docks, but the production on these date are all 11/07 (after Lenovo solved the problem). Someone had a similar problem? The ports are inactive for the W520 by design?

Solution:... drivers. Should have checked that first. I thought that our support office would have done that. I thought wrong.

  • error "Audio n output device is installed" on my computer hp pavilion 9502au laptop?

    Hello

It happened yesterday while watching a movie in the VLC Player... He closes the lid of my laptop and my laptop is in sleep mode...

Then I tried to open the laptop via the power button or the button of the mouse. He has not started. I had to remove the battery and my laptop has begun, but I noticed a red x on my sound icon. When I took my pointer here, he said "no Audio output device is installed"...

Up to now, I have SWITCHED MY WINDOWS OF X 64 to 32 BITS, DEVICE MANAGER SHOWS NO sound, video, controllers... manually install a hardware display all conexant devices but not mine... all are video capture... registry entries are ok, but no sound related register... windows services are ok... not installing the drivers, because they do not find devices... more BIOS is up to date...

GUYS, ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED...

Completely missing from the Device Manager on a built-in component usually indicates a hardware problem.  It is not something that could have a bad connection as it is soldered on the motherboard.

If you want to be absolutely certain that it is not a 100% software problem, you can perform a full restore of the HP system back to factory conditions.  Without a doubt, this would confirm if it's a hardware or software problem, but it is more than likely a hardware failure based on behavior.

However, what is the hardware ID of the device base system?

This can be retrieved by the opening of the device in the devices and accessing the tab Manager Details and changing the hardware ID property.  This should help to identify exactly what is the base system device.

  • I want to stop Dell Dock d3100 Audio HDMI output.

I recently bought a d3100 dock and I use it to connect my Inspiron 13z with Windows 8.1 to multiple devices, including an HDMI monitor and stereo speakers.  It turns out that my monitor has built-in speakers and does not allow them to be disabled or cut.  They sound terrible, so I'd like to stop to send the audio signal to them.  Unfortunately, windows detects the Dell dock as a single USB audio device and I don't have the ability to send audio to the stereo output 3.5 mm without sending it also both HDMI outputs.

If anyone has a suggestion on how to use the HDMI output for video without sending audio to the speakers on my monitor, please let me know.  There are HDMI cables that have an audio connection?

Thank you, Chris.  It is not a Dell monitor that I'm connected, I use an Acer B273h.  I tried to watch the sounds-> playback settings in Windows.  The problem there is that the d3100 Dell presents itself as a single USB audio device.  There is no distinction between the 3.5 mm stereo output and HDMI audio output.

However, I found a solution.  I remembered that HDMI and DVI have the same video encoding, and also, my monitor has a DVI input.  So, I picked up an HDMI cable to DVI, which now sends only video to my monitor.

    Problem solved!
