Audio-books sorted by title.

All my writings and half of the classic audio books I have download for free are not playing in the right order on the fuse +.  I loaded the book of Mormon.  He played first in the introduction section.  The first file is 1Nephi Chapter 1.  The next is not 1Nephi Chapter 2.  This is chapter 10.   The same issues are seen in the Old Testament.    If I load the first few books I get Deuteronomy and exodus before Genesis.  Also, I get the chapters 1, 10, 19, 2, 3 and 4.

Fuse + seems to sort the audio/podcast books by title.  If the same books are moved to the section of the fuse music + they play in order.  Maybe this section uses the name of the file or folder.

http://lds.org/mp3/display/0, 18692, 5297-62, 00.html is the place for test files.

The old fuse doesn't have this problem.  I suggest you copy the same files to each player.  The Old Testament has 1 003 files.

It would be nice if you could hold the arrow down for 3 seconds and force the reader to jump 20 files per second for the first ten seconds and 50 entries a second from here on out.

I have thought that the fuse + resorted file by file name, once you have moved the music podcast file.  I was wrong. It replaces the title with the name of the file.  That is why all the books I've downloaded in the past 5 months have played perfectly after I moved it.  I looked at one of the books I moved and the titles exactly the same as the name of the file.  We have the fixer title lazy perfect in the reader.  That's why I'm sure that books with the incorrect file names is a mythical creature.

If the fuse + sort of audio books / podcast by file by file name and display the title, all the files that I have would play perfectly and the title would not have to be fixed to play.  I noticed at 80% of my books have titles that are ok now.  It was the 20 percent that was originally 80% of my pain of sort.

I saw a player who sorts MP3 files by file name and displays the title.  It's the fuse.  It is in the music section.  How do you think that it should be applied that logic to the book section on the next firmware updated?

I also discovered an easier way to get my files will appear in the podcast section without having to move them.  I changed the kind of all my books in podcast.  This causes my resident book in the music folder and play the podcast menu.  So more than this is 80% of the books that I load using WMP (Windows Media Player) to play in order and creative titles do not have to be deleted or affected.    When I want to see all the books on my player I look into the kind of podcast using WMP.  If the tiles are not perfect, I have to move it and let the person who reads the book tell me the titles.

Still seriously, I hope someone will take me to the top by looking at the album section for the design of the next section of audio book.  As I said 'Audiobook in Album view', the design of the section is ideal.  I agree that it would be good to keep the music and audiobook is menus separate.  Once the audiobook sections is reworked podcasts will have their own sections.  The first layer of the new audio book section would be identical to the podcast section. The next layer is where the magic happens.

Please, please, please, someone look at section album and comment, please.

  • Sort order for multi-CD audio books

Hello world. I read through some past discussions on the sorting of tracks and albums and have not been able to solve my problem. I have a 12 CD Audiobook; each CD has 99 tracks (ugh). All are taken from my computer and copied on a 8 GB MicroSDHC card. Sorry for the long post; hoping to capture as much detail as possible. My OS is Win XP. It is a rocket 4 GB with the troublesome file stored on 8 GB MicroSDHC card. Rocket is set to MTP and I moved the files via Windows Explorer... trained on my hard drive to the SDHC card (I did this twice; once while he was in the rocket and once while it is in the card reader).

    I used MP3Tag as follows:

    • File name AND title are on: book title disc 01 track 01, sequential numbering up to book title 01 99 of track record. Then we begin with the title of the book disc 02 track 01, etc all the way as a book drive 12 track 99
    • In MP3Tag, I used the Auto numbering Assistant to number the headings, including leading zeros, as 0001/1188 (this change has been made while the card was in the "rocket"; the first passage to the numbering on the hard disk, added only one zero, and I thought that could be the problem, so I ran the wiz autodial again while the card was in the "rocket").
    • Contributing artist, artist and Album name are the SAME (no drive included number) for each 12 discs... use MP3Tag to achieve
    • Removed the YEAR and the DISCNUMBER using MP3Tag.
    • All tracks are marked by the kind of AUDIO book (again using MP3Tag). They appear in the correct order on the hard drive of my computer, and read the SD via Windows Explorer, they appear in the correct order. However, when I browse audio books on my rocket, the sort order is out of whack. Systematically, it starts with title of book disc 11 track 11, is moving forward to drive 12, 99 of track, then disc 01, track 01. The rest seems to be in the right order.
    • Shots from the top of the window of MP3Tag, the file (in order) as the "rocket" 'sees' the first track (1001 to follow in the order, so it is important) screen my choices of dialogue can be seen here:

Other audio books are marked in this way and appear in the correct order... but none of the others has more than 9 discs. Thanks for all the ideas. It drives me crazy! : PEI

Just an update... as suggested by miltst, I made some changes on the base (on my HD) and then copied to the SD card files. The only changes I made were to change the numbering DO NOT track to track the total number of titles; I even added zeros. Once I moved their map SD, the sort order is correct. Hooray! Don't know what did - change the HD or changing the numbering of the beaches, but whatever it is, it works.

    Thank you!

  • How can you tranasfer the titles of audio book on a portable device?

I can't transfer my cd audio book onto my MP3 player.  After that I used the DTS software to convert each disc to allow the transfer of the device, I get an error message saying that the track is already on the device and I want to replace or skip it and continue with the transfer.  However, if I select one of these options, I lose the contents of disk 1.  In other words, if drive 1 has 10 tracks (named track 1, track 2, etc.) and disc 2 has also 10 titles, the same, I can only transfer the contents of one drive at a time.  Is it possible to transfer more than one cd at the time?

I tried long time back and I got a CD player built into my laptop and a USB CD drive. It worked as I created 2 folders on the desktop and copy the contents of two CDs in these files. Subsequently, I've renamed the titles.

  • Organize files audio books / reorganization of playlists

This morning I threw the files to a new book on my 2 GB Clip.  In the folder on my computer, the files were closed all correctly, but in the video, they are completely out of order, apparently sorted randomly.  It is not alphabetical as the file name begins with the chapter number, so presumably an alphabetical appropriate would automatically default to the digital command, but this isn't the case.  The last audio book listened ordered correctly, so I wonder how the default Clip organizes the files so I can get classified correctly audiobook files.

I realize, of course, that I can create playlists of those files with Rhapsody.  I had a question about it as well.  When I tried to create playlists using Rhapsody I noticed that I could not rearrange the order of the playlists on the video.   If it's a playlist for the files on my computer I have, but on the clip, I could only remove the tracks and add titles to a playlist, and these tracks would run automatically at the end of the playlist.  So if I wanted a track to be the second piece of the playlist, I pretty much remove all tracks on the playlist to two and then add them all again.

Is there a playlist editor that works with the Clip that allows you to reorganize the estate of track on a playlist already on the clip?

The Clip of orders titles by the tag information embedded in the songs.  The artist tag, then the tag album, then track number tag, then label the name of the song.  Use a tool like MP3tag to set the tags in your audio files.

MediaMonkey allows you to rearrange the songs in a playlist.  Simply display the playlist, and then click - drag to reorganize.

  • Audio books

I used the same method of sorting for Audio books for about 11 years. What iOS left their MUSIC for iBooks which sorting method has been put out of use. Is it possible to keep my Audio books in MUSIC rather than having to redo the sort for iBooks?

I have an iPhone of aging 5 c and is trying to get a 6 s or SE this fall. I find iBooks a lot to read, but less than dog for listening to Audio books.

You cannot change the behavior on iOS. You can change the media kind of back in iTunes if you wish. See also the audiobooks on the iPod. With metadata good audiobooks should group and sort properly in the iBooks app.

  • Large Collection of audio book - How to manage?

I have a decently large audio book collection (probably 500 +).  Of course, I can't synchronize all, given that the complete collection does not fit on my iPhone.  The only other choice is to synchronize partially which forces me to sort through 500 + entries to find the 10 books I have on the phone at any time.  The user interface is horrible.  Why is there not a better Interface for sorting and filtering so I can actually set up my next 10 books in one minute instead of 15 minutes.  How all he does?  The only other option seems to be to remove the books from iTunes, but I don't want to lose my stats/notes.  This may not be a rare problem!

Create one or more playlists and use them to control what is synchronized to your iDevice - gives you precisely the option "set up my next 10 books in a minute."

Go read the information, click on the 'Options' tab, then change the drop-down list of "sort of media" to "Music" to "Audiobook". That worked for me, I hope that it helps you also.

    Hello

Reset Windows Media DRM has allowed little to solve similar problems.

Reset Windows Media DRM by deleting all files in the Windows Media DRM folder. Note that the Windows Media DRM folder is a hidden system folder. To view hidden folders and files, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start and then click my computer.
    b. on the Tools menu, click on Folder Options and then click the view tab.
    c. click Show files and folders and then click to clear the Hide protected operating system files check box.

Location of the Windows Media DRM folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM

If you can't find the Windows Media DRM folder, the exact location of the folder on the computer is stored in the following registry key. Ensure that this key points to a valid path:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DRM\DataPath

Note By default, the path is displayed in binary format. To view the path to plain text, double-click DataPath. In the Edit binary value dialog box, the path is displayed in the right column.

  • Audio books, clock and folder navigation!

Hi, I'm a big fan of audio books. All of the audio books I listen to are in MP3 format (like music).

    1. In Sansa Clip +, what is the meaning of audio books? Another format?
    2. In music mode, you can select Play All, artist, Album... and audio books - which means, books audio?
    3. If I put some audio books MP3 in the AUDIO books folder, they do not appear if I navigate by artist, for example. Why?
    4. If in my books MP3 audio, I have artist and title defined in ID3 tags, when you browse audio books option, I also don't see the artist, Title, Album and then
    5. That the link between digital audio books MP3, record BOOKS and books music audio option in the menu?
    6. How to make the player to remember the position of the MP3 book, where I left off? Can he remember position of more 1 mp3 audiobook?

    Thank you very much

On the Clip +, a file is considered an audiobook if it is the audiobook type, or if it's in the audiobook of the Player folder. Book audio files are excluded from the database of song of the player. An audio book usually consists of several files, in order to make them appear on the drive as a single book and play in the right order, that they should have the same tag album and numbered in the order using the track number tag. When you partially play a file podcast or audio book on the Clip +, when you return to this file, you are given a choice to return to the file, or from the beginning. If you started an audiobook via music > audiobooks menu, when you return to this book with music > audiobooks menu, the player will guide you to file in which was played last. The player will do this for all the books about it.

  • Help load audio books

    Hi all

I'm sure that it took more than 1000 times, but I still do not understand this...

What I want to do is to load an audio book, as he will play in the order, i.e. when disk 1 is finished then start playing the disc 2, etc..

I have years of experience in computer science, have tried to use mp3tag, Media Player, monkey media, all I can think about, but it still doesn't work.

For example, suppose I have an audio book with 2 discs... can someone walk me through what I need to do? Or perhaps point me to a tutorial?

    Thank you

    Victor

RIP the disks for mp3 files. IMO, it's better to tear the creations oral files mp3 32 kbps mono to save space on the drive. IMO 32 kbps mono mp3 sounds pretty well, and using higher throughput not incease its good quality. For music I use 256 Kbps.

After extraction of discs, the first disc of mp3Tag I open and use mp3 tag to put in the right order. So I would like to use the autodial feature in taf mp3 count starting with 101 so I a the beach 3-digit number. Start numbering at 101 allows up to 899 titles for the book using a tag 3-digit and eliminates the need for leading zeros in the track number.  Then I opened up the second disc, renumber the tracks starting with the next number after a final in the first disc. Then I would change the tag of the album for the files in the second disc so that it matches the first disc. Then I would merge the files second disc first. The next albums would be treated in a similar way.

  • Problem with the playback of audio books

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help please I have a problem of reading audio books on my rocket.  The problem occurs when I download audio books from my local library; the library allow it, are aware it will be downloaded to an MP3 player and no permit is required.  Most of the books are multi frame for example from 1 to 10.  I have download all 10 parts of my rocket.  Parts 1 & 2 always play without problem. When I try to play other parts 3, 4 etc. they will not play and I get a message saying: 'you can get the license by transferring the title to the device using software audiobook.  No license is required and he plays parts 1 and 2 with success.  I tried to download only 1 & 2, they play, then delete 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 download, they will not play and I get the same message.  In parts 1 and 2 of any book, I download play, the rest of the parts will not and the message above.  In the past, I managed to download books and had no problems.  I would be grateful for any help please?  Thank you.

Thanks to this solution of sugested.  I now have the issue resloved, namely that I don't have my camera "MPT" the value of the parameters of the USB, it has been updated the 'MASTER '.  I made the change deleted audio books that are not open, downloaded again and now all THE game pieces.  I have this post (1) to say thank you and (2) in case it helps someone else.

  • 'Forward' to move to the next audio file button does not work with audio books.

    Hi all

My first problem I can't understand mine. I did a search through old messages using several key words and couldn't find it.

    -Sansa Fuze worm-1...

    -New firmware dated 12/27/09

    Mode - MSC

I buy the audio book CD and then extract them to MP3 so I can listen to on the "rocket". I put all the MP3 of the book in a directory, use Mp3tag to put in place a track number, title, author, and such then I drag the folder to the folder "audiobook" on the "rocket".

I start to play the first file, and most things work very well. The documents in the file and I cannot FF or REW in this file. When this file is complete, the "rocket" ahead to the next file of its own. Bookmarking works fine. When I try to use the 'next' button to move to the next file, however, nothing happens. If I try to use the 'back' button to go to the previous file, nothing happens. Very strange.

The button works fine when I'm listening to MP3 music. I can jump forward or backward through the tracks normally. It is the same with podcasts.

I don't normally jump before the audio book titles, but sometimes I'll do it if I lose interest in the book and hope to find something more interesting on a next track.

Thanks in advance for any help with this one.

    See you soon.

Generic audio books works a little bit differently from the Audible.  New audio book functionality, allowing any type of playable, always has the option of cool chapter mode, but it functiond otherwise than by playing an Audible book.

Sound files have chapter breaks that can be selected in the part of the main work.  "Regular" audio books have just chapter-titles.  Try to select the chapter mode; It affects to jump between tracks.

  • Audio book Formats, identification labels, etc... I do not know...

I downloaded a number of audio books from different places and have loaded a number of them in my rocket.  Now, I found some embarrassing and frustrating problems.

    1. load and get the list under "Audiobooks" with the title of the book, where, during playback, I get:

    Author

    Title of the book

    Chapter (name, number, etc.)

That's what I want and assume is how it should be stored and listed.

2 other get listed under 'Audio books', but 'Unknown', where if I opened the 'Unknown' book get a number of different titles with a mishmash of ads chapter, during playback, I get:

    Author

    Unknown

    Chapter (name, number, etc.)

Not what I want as during playback I jump of a book to another according to the titles of chapters being similar and next in numerical order... Chapter all those game before chapter two... etc...

Any suggestions?  In one case, I have two books in a series from the same source, the same author, the title of various books.  One is like in the first example above and the other is stored as described in the second example.

I played a bit with the ID tags without success.

Although it shouldn't make a difference that I'm simply drag / drop in MSC mode.

    Markster,

Thanks for the comments.  In fact I forgot to mention that I use a Mac, so the only option I have for my audio books is drag ' decline in MSC. Do you not think that it will be a problem if I convert all my tags ID3 version 2.4?  As I have this capability with iTunes.

    Thank you

    Patrice

Not sure, Diana.  I think the "rocket" works very well with ID3v2.4 tags, but I have not experienced with that.  All what I can say is try it and see how it works for you.

  • kind of audio book

Sansa clip. using a pc. Windows xp. My sansa clip is a 4 GB, black.

Help Sansa people told me how to change the kind of AUDIO book, but it must be a track at a time.

I'm about to rip 6 audio books that are about 900 titles.

He's crazy about change 900 titles like one at a time. Someone knows better. I really want one to be audiobook.

HELP Please thanks a lot, Mel

The answers seem to be well informed and thoruogh and are appreciated. However, your suggestion seems to be the easiest. No additional software to learn, etc. I am using windows media player and have not yet taken my first successful playlist.

You have time to give me more explicit instructions as to when and how to put it in the folder of audio books on the reader.

By the player, that you mean Windows Media Player or do you mean the device clip?    Thanks Mel

  • Sansa Clip - lose track chapter marks within audible audio books

    Hello

When I got my clip audio books, I downloaded displayed on several tracks in the breast of every file that was great to navigate around from chapter to chapter. However, for some reason, I can't work, this is no longer the case - the issuance of titles like 1: 1 instead of 1/15 for a book divided into 15 tracks. It is not a problem with the audio files as the same files that do more to display with chapters.

I was wondering if it could be linked to a firmware update that I did at the time (what it is come up with in the box to 2.1.32)-it coincided with the appearance of a subfolder called «audible» audio books

I tried: update firmware, initialization parameters, reformatting, change the USB mode, change the synchronization software (audible manager/WMP/zune). Nothing appears in the manual or the forums on this issue am at my wits end with!

Can I revert to an earlier version of the firmware to see if it suits it? The best suggestions?

    Jess

    The mode chapter?

On an audio book, press the arrow down bringing Audiobook options

    Select Mode chapter on

Press the Menu key to regularize

If you format or other changes do major you must reset the mode of feeding for 1 to 5 minutes AND the chapter Mode.

    Hope this helps,
