On Mac, this most commonly seems to be caused by Spigot or pipe modules, or something else that snuck in without being detected with other software that you downloaded.

Please try to disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions on page modules. Either:

    • CMD + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete). Especially if you find something called SearchMe.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

Is that what helps you regain control?

All the Windows drivers for your laptop are on Portal support business web users for your laptop HP. In the drop-down list, select Windows XP. It's an operating system supported so reinstall drivers.

Check the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) for Legacy USB Support. To do this, follow the procedures below:

    1. Restart the computer.

  • "No audio output device is installed" error. Help, please!

I went on my computer of Windows 8 this morning and was forced once more to "Configure Windows Updates". As always, it was impossible to stop it from happening. So I let it happen. Now usually updates (apparently) do nothing. But I was very angry to see that my audio was broken. He wouldn't let me turn off/turn on the sound, and if I scroll to the left and click on settings, the healthy thing says 'off '. If I go over it it says "No audio output device installed." I know that isn't true, because only yesterday, it worked fine and I uninstalled anything. So I surfed the internet and found that many people had the same problems. Some of the fixes I've tried were:

Go to the control panel and go to the audio device and disable then enable it. N ' DID NOT WORK

I also tried to make the 'System restore' method, which, in my view, WOULD have worked, except the system restore gave me an error message too!

If someone can tell me how to correct the error of the system restore, it would be greatly appreciated.

I did different things with the Control Panel, frantically trying to solve the problem. I spent more than a day of troubleshooting and nothing has worked. Help, please!

    Hi Wendy,.

    1. What is the accurate and complete error you get when you try to perform the system restore?
    2. What is the brand and model of the computer sound card?
    3. are you able to hear the sound of the headphones or external speaker output?

Windows updates improve the security of Windows. If you need to install all updates pending Windows. I understand the difficulty when you lose the sound.

    Method 1:
with the right button on the Volume in the Notification area icon. Choose devices to record or playback devices. In this window that appears with the right button on the devices listed as well as on a box empty to show more devices (devices disabled, etc.) and play with the options to configure your sound.

    Method 2:
I suggest for the link and follow the steps in the article:

    No sound in Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows/no-sound-help#no-sound=Windows-8&V1H=win8tab1&V2H=win7tab2&V3H=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

Also, try to update the audio drivers from the manufacturer's website.

Hope this solves the problem. If the problem persists, you can write to us and we will be happy to help you further.

When I go into my device manager, I don't have even a tab that says 'his', which does not help. I have no driver installed, so there is no way to uninstall it and then reinstall the driver. I also tried my services and then go to Windows Audio properties to make sure that the startup type is automatic and is listed like that.  Honestly, I feel like I've tried everything! I tried a lot of things but there are so many, I do not remember all. I tried something via the Recovery Manager and that no longer works. No matter how many times I reboot my computer, this problem is still evident. Someone help me please! If it is useful to know, my laptop is a HP Pavilion dv6000.

Hello all, I need help please the audio driver no sound, video and Game Device Manager, just updated the windows but no change, please help, thanks

    Gentian01, welcome to the forum.

When a help request, you must always include the make and model (e.g., p6-xxxx) of the computer or the monitor. This information is necessary for us to review the specifications for them.

Before you answer, I suggest running Windows Update to see if that solves your problem.  Otherwise, you should go to control panel / sound and check the settings to make sure that they are correct.

  • HP Pavilion 2320tx g6: IDT HD Audio CODEC for HP Pavilion 2320tx g6

Hello! I used the IDT Audio CODEC for Windows 7/8 for a while, but a few days ago I accidentally uninstalled the Audio driver. I searched the internet for the suitable driver for my laptop, but the audio driver listed here package seems to be broken. After downloading the package and extraction, she seems to contain the Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver (must be contained in a sp61713) instead of the Driver Audio IDT. I can't find the original content of sp61716and so impossible to install the correct driver IDT. Anyway, the size of the file of the current binary file listed is 5.77 MB, too small for the IDT audio driver in my opinion.

I looked almost everywhere and downloaded dozens of pilots under 'IDT HD Audio 6.10.6417.0 A', but none of the .exe, I tried it, works.

I'll be happy if someone can link me the content of sp61716 (no, the ftp://15.193.112.22/ftp1/pub/softpaq/sp61501-62000/sp61716.exe package contains the Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver after extraction), or correct the original in the Support page link, so I can return my headphones to life.

    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I tried system restore already, but it did not work. He showed that the restore was successful, but the pilot has the same default Microsoft, which does not help my helmet. At this point, I guess reinstall the appropriate driver is the only option I can think.

EDIT2: It is certainly not the problem of my helmet; they work very well on other devices. In addition, previously I had downloaded and installed the driver from the HP itself support page, and the old version of sp61716 was indeed the (good) driver to work.

    Hi there @Potla

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I appreciate that you try to reinstall the audio drivers. I'm happy to help you.

A method, you can try is to recover the pilot of the original image. See the following for how to do this:
