Audio hiccups (briefly to cancel) intermittently, regardless of application

Whenever I listen to music, either through the browser or iTunes or Media Player, VLC, etc, the audio on my computer often small meeting, often little "hiccup" where playback stops for less than 1/2 second, then continues on.

It is not stop playback, the audio stream resumes quickly, but it really ruins the immersion in a given music.

Hi Ric,

Please write to us.

Sound problems can be caused by cables that are not connected properly, damaged drivers, incompatible drivers, sound settings, missing updates and problems with your sound card.

To better understand the issue, I want to know:

(1) what is the brand and model of your computer?

(2) did you last changes made on your computer before this problem?

Method 1: Run the audio troubleshooter.

The audio troubleshooting check the common problems with your volume settings, your sound card or driver and your speakers or a headset.

See the link below:

http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=260596

Method 2: Please check if there is no yellow in the Device Manager exclamation point for audio/sound drivers.

Follow these steps:

  1. Press the Windows key + R key and type devmgmt.msc , and then click on Ok.
  2. Develop the audio driver and search exclamation.
  3. If there is under audio driver, right-click top yellow exclamation point and look for changes on the hardware.
  4. Right click on the audio driver and it update.
  5. If you are unable to get the updates, search for updates by installing the Windows updates.

I suggest to install all the updates of Windows including the optional updates and check if there are updates for audio drivers as well.

Please try the suggestion and respond to us with the information requested above so that we can help you.

  • How to cancel a stop of applications?

    • How do CANCEL you force judgment of applications in Android 2.2.2?
I force-order some applications as this saves the battery and it should not have apps unnecessary running and drain the battery in the background all the time BUT if you decide to reuse these apps force-order AGAIN for all time during the run-to-the-context, how can do you it? Pl reply.

You're right that you can effectively force close applications (primarily pre-installed), as they will automatically restart just themselves.

The rest of your applications does not restart themselves up to what start again you. To get an application to run in the background that you previously stopped, you can simply launch the application.

I should also mention that you don't really need to force apps to stop. PΘriphΘriques Linux (such as Android phones) use RAM very differently from Windows devices.

When a Windows application closes, the OS frees the memory for use by other devices. This means that you should have almost always free RAM.

When a Linux application closes, the operating system keeps the app in memory. This allows to speed up the application launch time. The memory is not released until another application is launched which requires more memory that is available. It is normal (and not bad) to have little or no free memory.

Most applications that show that 'running' is not really running, but is simply still in memory, waiting for you to start again. They are not draining any battery power, unless you see they use the CPU.

  • Invoke the audio part and a video player for my application

    Hi all

I'm building an audio jack and video app download. I can play the app in my application. But the video player has some issues. As in the other topics in the forum I have found that if I turn on the properties of superposition, then he can't play.

So, I want to call the default reader with the downloaded file. Is this possible? I have not found a solution in the forums.

    concerning

You can try the method QNXApplication openFile and the File class has an openWithDefaultApplication. These two are supposed to do the same thing, but they do not. So, if one does not work, try the other. They are both supposed to work in the next version of the operating system.

  • Satellite L500-113 - how to record audio from the Web site?

    I have a L500-113.

I am the controller program for an Internet radio station and want to record audio streaming from our website. Regardless of the recording software, I can record only since the built in MIC, even if the flow is fortunately playing on my computer. No other recording device is displayed in Device Manager. Surely I can record of built in the card Realtek sound? I installed the latest drivers/Manager Realtek from Toshiba.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi mate

I think that the laptop supports a Realtek audio chip.
I have a laptop with the same Realtek audio chip and I can record the audio stream of a Web site.

I m using a free tool called no. 23 Recorder.
Google for it and you will find some details!

  • Western Digital drive hard 60 GB tested OK through diagnostics but seems audio problems

All audio sounds are rough with intermittent breaks through speakers or headphones. After that replace old soundcard with a new and new correct drivers the condition is the same. Check the wiring from the motherboard to the hard drive and I noticed that by moving WDC600BB HDD from different angles and positions of frying noise disappears. Ran extensive test it on the HARD drive it passed with flying colors. A way to repair the HARD drive... all my programs are on it.

Did you use WD bootable SeaTools utility test or another?

  • Audio import problems

I recently started to record gameplay of Battlefield using GeForce shadows drama program.  It collects audio and video game and produces a MP4 file at the end of the session.  The problem that I am running is the lack of audio when the clip is imported into Premiere Pro.  The original (via VLC) plays video + audio without incident, but once I try to import it, the waveform shows nothing since approximately 04:58 at 09:30, where it resumes again.

    I tried the things:

    • Rename and move the file of interest
    • Use of the Media Encoder to convert MP4 to AVI, MPEG2, MP3, and WAV
    • New project opening and importing of clip

I do not understand is the audio stops at the same time, regardless of the format.  However, the other clips (not the one I want) will play audio once imported fine.  Once more, the original file works very well seen through VLC and Windows Media Player.  When it is added to Premiere Pro, the waveform died in 04:58 mark.  Any help would be appreciated.

If you have Adobe Audition, you tried to import the mp4 file and see if the audio is intact in the hearing?  If this is the case, you can export the audio separately and replace the audio track included in Premiere Pro with the exported version.

  • Why the first is loaded all my audio plugins?

It takes about half an hour as the launch of the program, but I don't have one of these plugins to edit tracks for movies!  Why is it enabled by default?  Is it possible to disable this option?  Otherwise, it is Prime Minister unusable for my studio and will force me to switch to Final Cut Pro.

In response to my own question, I was able to disable all these in the Plugin Manager Audio once I had cancelled the scan once it got stuck.  I think that these should be taken out of SERVICE by default as little would like audio plugins used in DAW to be analyzed when first loading, and this can always be rekindled in Plugin Audio Manager.

  • Audio play back well on some devices, no other

A very strange thing that happens with an audio track that I'm editing for a video, with the help of hearing and the first. This is audio from a file video .h264/AAC. Everything seems fine on my machine, but when some people watch the video or listen to only the audio track, the sound becomes glitchy and barely audible. He plays for some people very well, not for others. I knew that there was a problem, because someone told me that what they meant to their end. I can't reproduce the problem on my computer.

This is where it gets strange: on mobile phones, it is almost always a problem. However, if you use a headset or speakers, the audio is great. Disconnect the headphones/speakers and the audio is glitchy again.

I've tried several things: editing and export Quicktime 7, Audacity, Audition, Final Cut Pro 7 and always with the same results. Any format/codec, compressed or not compressed: it's the same thing if it's an aif, wav, mp3.

Here is a sample of the video on Vimeo:

    https://Vimeo.com/134962721

And just the audio on Soundcloud:

Has anyone ever come across anything like this? What could cause an audio file work on some devices and others not? Why a device would not be able to play a file via its internal speakers, but can, when it is connected to speakers/headphones?

    Thanks for any help!

The problem is that the audio file that you have produced is essentially a mono file of double track. However, there is a reversal of phase on one track compared to the other. So it seems to read OK on a stereo system but the audio will almost completely cancel on a system that only plays back as mono.

Therefore restate your audio by reversing a track. Re-record and it should then probably play OK on everything.

  • audio rendering

I am a new user of AE and I need help with a problem of audio rendering.  I created several projects (without audio) and rendered without any problem. When I visited the same with audio projects, the problem is intermittent audio in mov file.

The used audio file type is AIFF and the Audio output is set in the setting of the output Module.

    Need HELP I can get.

Files created with the Animation codec are not intended to be read in real-time in a media player. They are designed as intermediate files in a post-production workflow. It is possible that your reading of stuttery is because your hard drive and Media Player are struggling to deal with huge data rates involved trying to play back these files.

    See this:

  • audio playback on some slides, and not on others

Using Captivate 6, when I saw or publish my project, I have intermittent problems with the audio does not. For example, if I saw a project, I find that the slide 3 audio does not play, but audio on all other slides is good. To address the problem, I have delete and add a link to the audio file of this slide (slide 3). When I go to preview the lesson once again, slide 3 audio works, but now slide 5 plays the audio. It is very intermittent and extremely frustrating.

I came this morning, had the same problem. I restarted my computer and everything seems to work properly. Published the draft without any audio problems.
