Problem: My laptop came with beats audio installed on it. Every so offten that the audio beats crashes. How to solve this problem was to reinstall the audio driver. I followed the instructions listed here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-PC-Sound-and-Audio/Beats-Audio-keeps-crashing/m-p/1548045#M239...

The other day, I uninstalled the driver IDT audio and reinstalled him and now my audio doesen't work. If I go on Manager devices under sound, video and game controllers, it shows IDT High Definition Audio CODEC with a small yellow triangle next to him. I don't know what to do more. Please help me.

Hello

Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55094.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp55001-55500/sp55095.exe

Once the relocation of Chipset is complete, stop the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

Kind regards

  • Audio laptop does not not for Dell studio 1558

    Hello

I have the Dell studio 1558. It was working fine but now I have problems with the audio. No Audio is not heard from struggling speaker or headset. I tried to reinstall the driver IDT, but it isn't either installation. Help, please.

Hello. I apologize for the delay in answering your question.

Had tried and failed to install the Creative Labs software? A failure will cause the audio to fail.

If not this, then it could be faulty hardware. Run the audio Dell 32-bit diagnostic tests if you still have this tool on your hard disk. If you do not hear the sound during tests of the hardware on the motherboard failed. In this case, you can get a Jack audio usb to use it as a workaround.

If you no longer have the 32-bit Dell hard disk Diagnostics, you can download it from the Studio 1558 support page (under Diagnostics) and run it on a dvd or usb flash drive... See the instructions here for the Assembly of the diagnostics on a dvd or a flash drive.

The alternative to audio Dell 32-bit diagnostic tests run is to perform a complete System Recovery. If the audio does not immediately after a restart then the hardware has failed.

  • My Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work.

Hello, my new Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work. I just got this thing out of the box.

I have updated the drivers and stuff, which doesn't seem to be the issue.

I tried several headphones as well, the helmet is not the issue.

I've isolated to this: when I plug in the headset, nothing happens. If I ask about 15-20 lbs of pressure, forcing the connector of headphones into the socket as hard as possible, the cell begins to recognize and the helmet works. As soon as I let go of the connector, the laptop will behave as if the device was disconnected.

    What should I do?

    What should I do?

Hello. Your options are to contact technical support to schedule a repair, or return it for a refund or Exchange if you are still in the short return period (twenty one days from the date on the invoice if you got from Dell).

  • Audio service does not work, error 0 x 80004005: unspecified error

I have problems with my laptop in regards to the audio service does not. The sound icon has an x on it and ran the SCP prompt automatically update/fix drivers without success (may have spelled promot hurt, but it was the solution to many similar forum messages). I also tried to uninstall the audio driver and put it back, however when I run the driver installation an error message appears and says that Windows Audio is not running and needs in order to perform the installation. I went to the system administrator and seen the services menu and went to windows audio properties. I tried from the program and the error message "error 0 x 80004005: unspecified error" comes up. All dependent services for the Windows Audio are running, so I came to a dead end. The only thing I can think of that would make the audio not working do not is my battery. My battery is in poor condition and needs to be replaced, so I always us the AC cord to power the computer. Depends on Windows Audio battery somehow or something of this nature? If so, is there anyway around this until I can buy a new? Thanks for your help. Clay
