audio muting in the search bar

I just read on the ability to mute audio from the search bar in Safari (OS X 10.11) 9 clicking on the sound icon in the bar.   But there is no icon in my search bar!  How such an icon?

It only appears when you play either an audio or video file in Safari.

For example, let's say that you look at your favorite news site and a video on the site that you want to play.

When you play the video, a blue audio icon will appear in the search bar, which you can click on mute.

    Hi, hopefully a screenshot can make things more clear - when you right click in the area of the red dot, then a popup menu will appear where you can re-enable the toolbar of bookmarks.

  • Right click on the search bar, if there is already text inside, will bring up search suggestions in the context menu.

    I find cela bug/annoyance.

    Hello m4lvolio, thank you for reporting this issue.
    However, it is a mainly managed by the community support forum, probably isn't the right place to report bugs (we are unable to implement all the features & devs read here).
    If you think this is a bug in the browser (and I can reproduce the issue certainly), please fill in a bug at bugzilla.mozilla.org.

  • Is there a way to keep the search bar to bend down?

    I've just updated to 34 FF and see that when I start typing something in the bar he search now takes place down, taking a value about seven lines of space - even though I have disabled search suggestions. The problem is that the course covers a part of the URL, tab and top-of-page Web of the text that I sometimes reference (or even copy - paste) to guide my search term selection. I usually use only my default search engine, so the disadvantages of this "blackout" certainly outweigh the benefits of being able to choose more easily a replacement search engine on the fly. In fact, one of the reasons I used the search bar are first to * avoid * behavior type search engine pages of conduct have often. But it is here, in fact more intrusive because it covers the most relevant text. Is it possible to keep this behavior "unfolding" occurs automatically when you use the search bar in 34 FF? Thank you

    You can return to the range of older search like this bar.

    Open Subject: config (typed in the address bar)
    Do a right click and toggle this false preference

    browser.search.showOneOffButtons

    Then restart Firefox.

  • To remove the search bar to see the beautiful snowmen snow

    I can click between the search bars and URL to shorten to the left, but the right side of the search bar there where he was. I want to condense the two bars to the left so I can see the snowmen beautiful of my add-on. Or remove the search completely bar.
    Thank you, Nick

    You can move the seek bar '3-bar' Firefox dropdown menu button and it will work again correctly and answer the hotkey Ctrl + K.

    • Make a right click of the search logo-> move menu

    You can also consider adding an opacity in the address bar and the search bar.

    Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #navigator-toolbox {min-height:200px!important}

    #urlbar {opacity:0.5!important}
    #urlbar:hover {opacity:0.8!important}
    #urlbar[focused="true"] {opacity:1!important}

    #searchbar .searchbar-textbox {opacity:0.5!important}
    #searchbar .searchbar-textbox:hover {opacity:0.8!important}
    #searchbar .searchbar-textbox[focused="true"] {opacity:1!important}

    The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

    • Create the folder chrome (lowercase) in the .default < xxxxxxxx > profile folder if the folder does not exist
    • Use a text editor like Notepad to create a userChrome.css (new) file in the folder chrome (file name is case sensitive)
    • Paste the code in the userChrome.css file in the Editor window
    • Make sure that the userChrome.css file starts with the default @namespace line
    • Make sure that you select "All files" and not "text files" when you save the file via "save file as" in the text editor as userChrome.css.
      Otherwise, Windows can add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with one does not not userChrome.css.txt file

    You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    • topic: config page: browser.search.showOneOffButtons = false

    You will need to close and restart Firefox to make it work properly.

    You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
