  The forms are much more flexible than the legends, you can even move the "tail" of the forms of the legend.

  Preferences apply only to new simulations. If you want to convert existing slides, use the context menu, return to the text of the legend.

  I use the legend of reversal on several places in my project. I recorded a speaker that I want to play when the legend is displayed. I have no trouble setting this up, it works very well. The problem is that I noticed that the size of the project was so larger that we shouldn't. I looked through the library and I saw my audio files in .wav format, I have them recorded in .mp3. So, there are two versions of the audio in my library, so the .wav and the .mp3.

  I tried to do it all over again to make sure I used the .mp3, but it always adds the .wav which is about 2-3 MB in size.

  Anyway to get around this problem?

  Just leave them as WAV.  Captivate will when he published and you can choose the audio output in MP3 format accordingly compression settings.  CP is to save the MP3 to WAV in the library in an attempt to reduce the degradation of the quality of auio.  It is not out of the WAV itself to the publication. Use it just as the source file for that start with the highest quality before you compress it.

  Because the MP3 is a compressed audio format, if then you go and compress once AGAIN time to publish, you will eventually get the bad quality audio output because you're compressing twice.  The sound resulting can then very heard "wooshy.

  So leave the files in the library to WAV and then control the quality of your output for you sure get a file of publication small enough without sacrificing audio quality unnecessarily.

• Can I stop the slide (text to speech) audio when a legend of quizzes with audio feedback is displayed?

  Hi there, we use text-to-speech on all of our slides, however there is a problem, we have been unable to resolve.  If we have audio on a blade of quiz that this continues to play when the legend of feedback is displayed.  This means that if a learner clicks on the answer quickly, they hear the text on the slide and the text of the caption on top of the other.  How can I stop the slide audio if the legend of feedback is displayed.  We tried shares advanced to "stop audio triggered" and experimented with invisible text captions that have audio added, but have not so far resolved.  Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? Any help gratefully received, thank you so much Janet

  PS We use 8 Captivate with the installed voices text-to-speech

  It is currently a common problem with audio in modules of Captivate quiz slides.

  The configuration options for interactive objects on slides of quiz does not allow the same level of control for audio playback with normal interactive objects on other slides.  (for example to be able to stop the other audio when the user clicks on something).

  The Audio triggered Stop action is often misunderstood.  But as its name makes clear, it only applies to stop an audio clip that was TRIGGERED by another action of the art.  That does not apply to background sound, slide level audio or audio level object.

  My suggestion is that you return to your design and determine which of the two audio clips (sound feedback or slide) you can do without.  Maybe your learners them useless as much as you think.

  For example the 'wrong' text in all the legend of failure

  You can set the default text that appears in all the legends of failure for the quiz via the parameters for the Quiz questions.  However, after you have made changes here that will affect quiz slides that you add AFTER that, change.  There is no way to change the text in all the legends of defect EXISTING at the same time.  You will have to select each one and replace the current text manually.  If you firmly believe that you will need to do this more than once, you might consider using a user Variable that displays as the value in the legends of the failure.  Then you can edit them while changing just the value of the user variable.

  Welcome to the Adobe forums.

  You can set the timing for the legend text in its properties lets say 3 seconds. After 3 seconds, it will disappear.

  Now if the user clicks the clickbox, you will get 'type text of failure here', you can click on it and set the ignition for it, like the rest of the slide.

  Here are the screenshots

  Step 1 > your slide is something like this (I'm sorry to not use any image of the slide)

  

  Step 2 > now you can set the timing for the text of the legend (click here). Here I put it for only 3 seconds, so it will disappear after 3 seconds

  

  Step 3 > now click on 'Failure Type here text' and adjust the ignition in his properties as well

  

  By doin this failure of Type here text appears for the duration that you want and it will take the place of the legend text

  When I record in Captivate 4 on Windows XP, the legend of failure or hint captions do not display upwards.  It also does not show my mouse movements.  I tried to change the settings and options, but nothing seems to work.  Any help is appreciated!

  When you click on Simulation software, you have a few options. Demonstration, evaluation and Simulation of training Simulation. Demo mode will only provide the movements of the mouse. Only Simulation modes offer the legends of suspicion. FMR will enable the registration of the mouse, but you can't later to change.

  In regards to the legends of the trick, SEE it only actually once that you have saved in simulation mode and reading in a preview or output has published. The indicator shows when you hover over the image map.

  In Captivate 4, I was able to attach an audio file to a rollover area for a text of the rollover caption. The audio did not play until the user changed their cursor of the rollover area. Now in Captivate 5, in the same circumstances, the audio plays as soon as the slide appears - it is not triggered by the overthrow as it was in version 4.

  I wonder if it is possible to show a legend and select the box after box click failure? So basically what I want to do is the following:

  1. ask for the learner to click on an icon

  2. the learner gets 3 attempts

  3. after the 3rd attempt incorrect box highlight indicates the correct icon and legend says 'it's the icon

  I do not know how the highlight box and the legend are displayed only after that the 3rd attempt failed.

  I think I got your question. Question is cropping in due to this click box.

  Let me tell you first of all the question:

  1. you click on box to-> after the failure of the third attempt of you show the highlight box & the legend.

  Now note that click the box suspends the slide just before the slide ends => so when the user fails three times-online the highlight box & text caption here for a fraction of a second as this slide ends andproject advances on other slides.

  Solution:

  1. use a transparent button instead of the click box. reason being, you could control when pause on slide-online break both slide to halfway to the slide so that the user has enough time to see the legend of box and highlight text. I have made changes to the slide No 7 in your project and sent to you.
