Audio only on a video clip

Hello gang,

Hope someone can answer this question.  A series of video clips I took more than a week.  After I started putting them together, I somehow 'lost' video.

They appear as a video clip in the menu screen, but when I play them it is only the audio portion that appears.

Then after that I let him play the clip 'loses' video photo associated with the item and displays the note "audio".  so I guess its now a

audio clip and I lost my video?  Any ideas of the smart crowd?  I'm certainly not in this group.  very novice! \

Thank you

coach

I was able to set up video clips, edit them (using PE7) and save them as a project.  A few days later, I went to see and they appeared as audio only.

Coach,

These two lines make me wonder a bit. I wonder if you are looking at and try to play the appropriate files. Let me give a little background, just so that we're both on the same page. First a few questions: when you have transferred the files to the SD card, what format they appear like? Where you copied them? Would you download and install G-Spot. Run one of these files that you copied to the SD card, and see what this program shows, expecially high to the right of the screen, where the CODEC used is displayed. There will be both the 'name' of the CODEC and the complete specifications of it. This info may contain a response for us. Then look at the bottom left of the screen G-Spot. You will see two columns of squares, with the number 1 in them. One is for video and one for Audio. Press the #1 for video and you * should * get a box below, with #2 inside. Hit and you * should * get a box with a #3 in there. Yet once, hit #3, and you'll get a tiny Viewer at the top left of the screen. Your video * should * play. You may also make the Audio too.

Now for the info: PE, when you save, you don't save a project file with the. Extension PREL. It's only a database, without media inside, only the links to the media. There are also some consistent Audio files that appear in the folder structure of project of the MOU, which will have the same file name, as your media files, but the. WAV extension. These are only the Audio files. There will be a lot smaller files there, with. PEK extensions. This is the display of waveform.

PE is a non-destructive Editor, because it does not change the original media files. They * must * be intact, as you copied to the SD card. It would be easy to play accidentally, say standardized Audio files (remember, the same file name, but with the.) Extension WAV*). You * should * be able to play your original (actually copies you made of the SD card) without problem. If they play only Audio, and that you have opened the right files, then you probably don't have the right CODEC on your computer. That's what the paragraph two is all about. and we will have the answer.

Let us know what G-Spot and good luck,

Hunt

* If you have your operating system files Options to not display file extensions, please change this setting. You definitely want to see the file extensions, especially as many of your files have the same file name, with NLE work.

If you are looking to get audio only from a YouTube video, all you need to do is read your video and while it's going to copy the link. Then on another tab, open listentoyoutube.com. Just follow the easy directions and paste the link.

Hope that helps. I found out a month ago and I have 4 CD made from these audio files. There is a lot of fun to find obscure stuff and making CD of songs.

What are you - right click the icon on the desktop for Premiere Elements, and then select run as administrator? If so, please return to post 3 where I wrote

You definitely need a user with the privileges of the administrator account. QuickTime as well as Premiere Elements require that. Sometimes a run as administrator (right-click the icon of the program Office) and selecting run as administrator can help. Please check it out. The permissions are important.

How to do it on Vista?

    Hi robt1962,

Thank you for using answers Forum.

You may be able to use Windows MovieMaker to extract audio from your video file, depending on the format.

If you use your favorite search engine and look for "extract the audio from video using windows moviemaker" for more details.

    I hope this helps.

  • Why is my video clip considered as audio only?

I have a video clip recorded in camstudio using camstudio lossless codec version 1.5. When I import into first pro, only the audio track is there. I guess that's because the Prime Minister does not know how to decode the video. How will I be able to cope with the video? and how do I add the correct codec (I have the dll)?

    TjPjMusic wrote:

No there is no way to add new codecs to the Prime Minister?

If you use the software codec is already on your machine, but the first does not recognize.

If I'm not mistaken you can assign capture/export Lagarith codec in Camstudio.

First has no problem with Lagarith.

If you want to continue to use the file, you just made so you must first convert them.

Someone sent me a video clip titled AVI.  When I try to open it with Windows Media Player all I get is audio. I also tried to try to open it with Quicktime and nothing happened.  Any ideas?

The following free utility to identify the codec you
    to read the file.

    (left-click the text: "Download GSpot")

You don't have to install it... just unzip the file and

When I import a video clip (any format) audio is imported.  However, the forecast of nail is still viable in the project window and I can even scrub through the video in the project window.  I was able to import correctly the other day and I don't think I changed anything.  I also tried some old clips I imported on other projects and I still have the same question.

  • My saved Windows Movie Maker Project open with video clips in the Audio editing panel and vice versa (NOT as it was created). Can I move them back where they belong?

After days of the creation of a filmmaker 'project' I 'saved project' one last time, then reopen and publish a movie.  All my video Clips (phtotos) now appear in the Audio editing / music along the bottom with only a video clip standing in line of the video of this 'slide show' of 90 minutes.  Is it possible to move these clips to which they belong without having to recreate the whole project?

What happens if you try to read the project in Movie Maker?

Looks like your project .mswmm file is corrupt (starting
Perhaps more than the best approach). The project can be as far
too big and too complex to publish (save) with success as a
    video file.

I suggest that you create several small projects
and publish (save), each of them in the. WMV video format
and then re-import the collection. To combine WMV files
    in a single movie.

You can also import collection. Clips WMV to DVD
Manufacturer and each clip, would have become a scene (chapter)
    on the DVD.

I tried several video formats without success. I am currently on updates and have never had this problem before. WMV files are choppy and slow and sometimes stop, too.

    Hi NessaWest,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. you receive an error message?

I suggest that you disable audio and video filters in Windows movie maker and check if it helps.

Video and audio filters are programs that are installed on your computer that help interpret video files so that they will display and play correctly. Windows Movie Maker uses when you import a video and audio, extract your project on the table of storyboard / timeline, and when you publish a movie.

    (a) open Windows movie maker

    (b) click on Toolsand then click Options.

    (c) click on the compatibility tab.

    (d) do one of the following:

    ·        To turn off a filter, clear the check box next to the name of the video filter.

    ·        To activate a filter, select the check box next to the name of the video filter.

    ·        To restore the default list, click restore all defaults.

When you restore the default settings, the list and the filters settings are given to the last known good setting.
