Audio playback is jumping

Hello

I have jerky playback / jumping on all my music iTunes (music streaming and local Apple) recently. Reading through YouTube works fine so it seems to be related to iTunes. Any thoughts on how to correct? I'm working with El Capitan 10.11.1 and using iTunes 12.3.1

Thanks for the help,

Phil

Restarted my computer and that seemed to fix it.

  • No audio playback for hp pavilion m7 running Windows 7

Following a Saturday night automatic update I lost all audio playback on my laptop. I tried to do a system restore and download and reinstall the audio driver. A bit of a loss here, suggestions?

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp57501-58000/sp57966.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  • Hum/stuttering during audio playback on xps 13 9333

    Hello

Recently I had a few problems reading any kind of media.  At regular intervals the audio will gel/jump for a second and make a buzzing noise, and then resume.  This happens with the music and video streaming. If I'm watching a video, the screen will freeze for a second, buzz, and then resume.

    I use a xps 13 9333 with 8.1 Windows 64-bit.

I tried everything I could think, update all my drivers, reinstall codecs, running anti-virus and cleaning on my system.

    Any suggestions?

I found a solution 2 days ago Dell installed an update for dell support assist and dell support agent, when I removed these programs from the Control Panel, the problem disappeared.

    I have windows 7 64 bit (dell XPS L720X).

General information, I originally had this problem two years ago and it was related to McAfee Anti-virus. My guess is his do a periodic analysis or something like that.

  • Audio playback through headphones and speakers

Headphones or speakers in windows 7, it cannot have them both?

Looked at other issues, nothing seemed close.

My machine has dual boot, Windows 7, XP and Vista ultimate and now XP. In XP and Vista I have the speakers and headphones plugged together, playerd noise, so I could use one or the other by plugging them in front and back taken audio.

This allows me to play during the day with speakers, and then at night with headphones and no round reaching under my desk to remove the cables.

Now I use windows 7 and many other issues I have with it, I can't play with speakers or headset until I went through a lot stupid click on deactivate one or choose the other as a default value. Why this has been changed in windows 7 after Vista, it seems totally useless logic. I can turn off my speakers with the power button and get the helmet works. Now, I'm either or. So my new IR headphones are wasted. Please, someone tell me there is a work around?

It's little interference silliness like this that give me want to stay under XP.

Much thanks in the meantime someone has found a work around.

I have my Jabra GN9350 both my speakers for computer, audio playback at the same time. :)

Here's the trick (and it is verified on 3 other systems Win 7):

    (1) R click on your speaker icon, select "Recording Devices" (if you have the sounds dialog box to the top, it's the 2nd 'Recording' tab)

    (2) click on R in the white space, make sure that the TWO "show disabled devices" AND "show disconnected devices" is checked.

    (3) * now, this step will take some thought for each computer used: on my laptop (HP Elitebook) I get a "Stereo mix" device, ACTIVATE this device.

    4) click on properties, click on the "Listen" tab

    (5) check the box 'Listen to this device', also change the drop-down list below 'read through this device' to be your second audio device

-To check that you have done this correctly, go back to the tab of the dialog box sound reading, you should now see two of your audio devices showing green graphics small displacement.

Here are the specific parameters that I have on my laptop, maybe this will help you with your settings:

Speakers - GN9350 (by default the communications device)

Speakers - SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio (default device)

Feature 'Listen' stereo Mix - point this device on my GN9350 headset.

It's very frustrating because I use my computer to record & thus need to have audio playback to its correct level - not to the level of the computer think it should play to...

    Hi pablo647,

Welcome to Microsoft Windows 7 answers Forum!

We would like to get some more information from you to help solve your problem.

You use any sound card on the computer?

You can try to play the song even to a differnet headphones or speakers.

I think it might be a problem with the sound card drivers.

You can update the drivers for audio devices and try after that.
    1. click on start and then click Control Panel.
    2. click on system and Maintenance, click System, and then click Device Manager.
Note that if control panel is in Classic view, double-click System and then click on Device Manager.
    3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    4. in the device, expland 'sound, video and game controllers' Manager, the "sound, video and game controllers" right click and go to properties.
    5. navigate to the tab Update and then click on set to update driver.

You can also check on the website of the manufacturer of the sound card and check if they have any updated drivers for Windows 7 and you are trying to install it.

    It will be useful.

  • Cannot change the default audio playback device

    Hello

I tried to get a sound via HDMI, but after hours of trying, each solution is to change the audio playback device by default (in the volume mixer). My PC allow me to do so! It just won't change current default device (digital output Realtech). Can anyone help? It's driving me crazy.

PC is HP Pavilion Slimline model s5395a. Using Windows 7.

    Thank you, Bill.

    > I don't know much about computers
Then, it is the question, if you want to change things in the bios.
You can make changes so that the pc will not start, so be careful. If you don't change anything else, save.

    It is described here:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01884922

You can try some of the other steps first, access to the bios is described before step 10.
You can 'onboard audio' the value 'Auto', or just turn it off.

  • Audio playback USB and device names record - the enumeration of devices, device INF file or required device driver?

My gadget usb audio has two "playback devices" and a "recording device".

It works with the usbaudio.sys driver, but I want to give each channel separate namespaces.

I found a way in windows 7 to rename the audio device using UI actions (right click, properties, etc.), but I want to do it via usb enumeration, instead of requiring the user to do.

USB enumeration has a "output terminal device", which has different categories of devices, but these don't map with different names.

    1. is there a a way to change the name of an audio playback and the recording device using the usb enumeration data?

    2. can I do this automatically on a usb hotplug?

    3. an INF file help?

    4. or I have to write my own driver to rename playback and recording devices?

    Thank you

  • Buzz audio playback from any computer in the House

In the last day or two, suddenly my laptop Dell XPS Windows 7 had this weird behavior: when playing audio or video, on youtube or other sites, or locally the MP3 files on my computer with Windows Media Player, every once in a while, there's a hum, kind of like when the judges love not something on one of these talent shows and they ring the buzzer.  It's as if Simon Cowell is right there inside my computer, buzzing just once in awhile, at random moments.  It continues for about half a second, and then the video or the audio continues.

Then when my wife got home, she was complaining about the same thing on his laptop, which has just begun to happen in the past day also.  She had the same problem that watching videos online, or talking to someone on Skype.  She usually use Chrome or Firefox to watch videos, while I was using IE.  It seems that any software or computer is used, and if the file is local or online, happens as long as there is audio playback.

Doing some research, I notice that someone described a similar problem happening after a Windows Update 4 years ago, and this person had to update some other driver to be compatible with the Windows Update.  I noticed that there was some very critical updates in the last days, and I wonder if they are responsible.  If it is a driver incompatibility problem, I don't know yet how to solve it.  Any help is very appreciated.  Thank you!

YES!  I was wondering if it was a question of Dell and would make troubleshooting more tonight.  (I needed to understand why Dell DataSafe kept fails, too).  I had noticed the pop-up blue Dell SupportAssist a couple of days, but don't connect it might have caused a problem.  It seems that it is the culprit, because I've been without buzz since I dropped it and restarted.

    Thanks for the help!

  • Last update broke the audio playback.

Everyone has had problems with their audio playback after updating to the new tools of gold 5.0?

My game has roughly around 5 sound effects play.  I just did a player for each effect and then I have them prefetch at load time.   I keep track of what's currently playing and when I want to play another, I stop playing effect, if any, and start the next.

Now all this code worked for my current game and 4 other games for 3 months.  The old 9550 beta Simulator 5.0 ran something comme.320 and this one is execute.535.  I am about to release my game, but now the testers reported, the game freezes when they improved a.607 ou.612.  So I installed the latest tools and the game will freeze now in the Simulator.  Everything works on my appareil.320

I can solve the problem if I ever stop/interrupt an active player, but this reduces the quality of audio support still further.  The game freeze Player.start (calling).  He never returns back from this call.  It is stuck at MediaPlayer.transitionWait ().  I tried various fixes such as starts the new sound in the recall of playerUpdate at the end of the media or stopped event.

I noticed this change.  If I break on exceptions, it appears on the stack.  It was not there en.320 is kind of fish.  Also, it is really hard to run with exceptions now and play the game as it keeps popping up.
