Audio problems with Touchsmart 600-1350

Recently, I noticed that my audio icon showed muted.  When I hover over the icon I see "no Audio output device is installed".  I tried everything I know to do, I reinstalled the drivers, downloaded and installed new drivers and followed all the instructions on the HP Web site help.  Another thought?  If so, can we install a new card RealTek?

Thank you

  • TouchSmart 600-1350: what is the REAL TouchSmart 600-1350 RAM Specs?

I see HP screwed up once again, big surprise there!

Specification of RAM TouchSmart 600-1350 (citing the HP site):

    200 pins, DDR3 SO-DIMM

Since 200 pin SO-DIMM is really a standard DDR2 and DDR3 is a 204 standard pins, I chose best educated guess one that suits and matches at speeds and tensions with the computer of my client for the upgrade. We ordered 2 Kingston PC3-10600 off 4 GB Max computer modules, but guess what? It don't work!

Given that HP can't even say DDR2 DDR3 standards, can someone at HP who really knows what is up please tell me the specifications of memory live CORRECT for this system? Perhaps eventually make corrections to specifications of systems page too. Beyond that, a refund of $40 to my disappointed customer would be too big, but I not holding my breath!

Anyway, why did 2 4 GB Kingston 204 pin PC3-10600 modules work? Normal blood pressure, nothing special...?

    Hello:

Based on my experience, any HP PC with an Intel series 5 using portable memory chipset... it must be VERY specific with what you get memory.

Please read this post related about this submission, in my view, that you have to buy...

While it is a laptop, he uses the memory of the laptop and has a chipset Intel 5 series like the one you are working on.

  • repair for HP touchsmart 600-1350

    Hello, everyone-

I have a HP Touchsmart 600-1350 with what is considered as a default card mother Pegatron IMPIP-M5.  I am told that HP has no available replacement parts and that I should just throw this PC and buy a new computer.  This seems a little extreme and am looking for a second opinion.

Please share with me your experiences related to this topic.

    Thank you...

  • HP Envy 23 - K030: Audio problems with HP envy 23-K030 and Windows 8.1

I read all the discussions on audio problems with the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and Windows 8.1
I get audio on my speakers ONLY and not the headset.
I uninstalled rebooted and reinstalled the correct driver by this web site of HP support for my machine.
    no luck - same behavior.

The only thing that worked was the IDT driver installation and Windows device driver high definition.
The headphone jack are properly behaved and everything is ok worked.  However, I lose the audio Panel BEATS and the functions of the Board of Directors of IDT.   (superior quality sound-even with the built-in speakers).

An interesting thing I noticed, when the Microsoft driver is used (and work) on the control panel for this device, it presents "the left panel making" when the configuration screen for the 'speakers '.  for the official driver of IDT, it shows 4 outlets - none of them say "left sidebar", there's rear panel and a plug of façade.    On the old driver that didn't work, he showed "right pane" and there is no control on the right panel.

I think the pilot is simply wrong of this material. The driver is to look 10/2013-it is as if it were updated for this model ALL in ONE - only when it comes to use the headphone jack.

Is there a better driver (I can't "find one beyond 6.10.6486.0 or 6.10.6491 - both had the same problem.)

I do not use my time to often-rarely-last helmet I used them they have worked. Now, they are not - a few automatic updates upset the balance of the force.

Any help would be appreciated. IF not - it is a problem that a person should study.

Also it is reproducible. I have install generic Microsoft driver-headphone jack works and the sound Jack not pregnant, I re - install IDT player - his fate only speakers and not jack.

    I thought about it.

BIOS V 80.09 (on this wonderful site to Support HP) - does all the work

V80.05 - did not work properly with this Version of Bios.

Thank you HP very useful site if you take the time to browse through all the updates.

  • Audio problem with HP DV7 Notebook

    Hello:

I have a laptop HP PC 4 year under Windows 7 Home Premium 4 GB of Ram, 64 bit OS.

I'm not a technology person, so please bear with me...   I had a LOT of problems with programs like Word or Excel (and now also my IE) which gives me a message 'No response' and almost closed on several occasions.  I cleaned up completely my computer about three months ago in the restaurant of a set of restore disks which was prepared, when I bought the laptop, and Best Buy assured me that this would restore my computer as long as "new factory".  However, this condition lasted a few weeks.

In any case: last week, I took the advice of a consultant Microsoft Community and cleaned my computer using Malwarebytes and then sought an updated on the site of HP driver and installed, and my computer behaves a little better, but I lost my audio cmpletely.  I tried to solve it, and the message says that my audio is "not connected"...

Any suggestions?  Would be glad of some easy to follow advice.

    Thank you.

    Hello

In the Menu start, open the all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  In at the prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

sfc/scannow                (Note that there is a space between sfc and /)

Let the entire process, then the output type and press ENTER.

Then, click on the Start Menu, click computer, left click Local disk C once to highlight, right-click on Local C drive and select Properties.  Click the Tools tab and then click on the button "check the drive for errors.  In the next window make sure that both boxes are checked, then click Start.  Right plan the audit on the next reboot of the system and then restart the laptop - this process may take several hours before the task in Windows.

When this is finished and reloaded Windows, download the installer of IDT Audio on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp50501-51000/sp50595.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  • NO sound when recording Audio - problems with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I got in trouble for almost a year now with NO sound when recording Audio with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I just found this forum today. It's really weird how recording with windows and other sound recorder works perfectly since 1998 or so until the upgrade to win 7. Now every time I try to record it shows no found recording device or just fails to record any sound. As you'll see below I have activated What U Hear so I can use the system recording features sounds.

I use the functions of audio recording and pdf reader because I'm legally blind. It is one of the few tools that I could use with ease on all my systems windows for many years.

A similar question has started happening with nvidia graphics cards. AND... I was led to believe that it was a problem with Sony wanting more strong piracy measures built into windows. Am I correct to assume that this is what is happening with the sound also today or is there a solution to this frustrating problem?

I run a dxdiag & posted that, according to me, you asked another user on the forum, the same or similar problem.

Help solve this problem would be greatly appreciated as this has been a problem for quite a while now.

So I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8, and the noise on this subject with headphones is way way too low, that he was stronger on my old laptop, the speaker volume is strong so I don't understand why headphones are so quiet that I uninstalled the drivers that came with him and got the generic Microsoft High Definition Audio ones , but that did not help either, I made sure all sound bars are completely upward in the settings of the headset and I ensured that no effects were on and that the quality was 24 - bit, it of just the laptop or is there a problem with the driver? is it possible to simply drive the sound from the speakers in the headphone, or is it necessary that when I plug in my headphones must change the one that says earphones. • Satellite M100: TV card realtek HD audio problem with Ulead DVD movie factory

    Hello!

I just bought a new TV tuner card. All works find on my other computer laptop xp (not toshiba) for my toshiba m100, all are ok except for the audio.

I used a lot of tv as honestech TVR 2.0, Intervideo windvr software 3, HT TV Plus gold but none can deliever the sound.

Then I stumbled on Ulead DVD movie factory software that is packaged with my Vista Home Basic when I bought my laptop.

I looked at the advanced video capture option, but there is no audio input source. It makes me wonder, if the supplied software, given my toshiba itself cannot solve this problem, it is must be something wrong here. Page here [http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/9449/tvge3.jpg | http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/9449/tvge3.jpg]

My toshiba m100 uses realtek high definition audio.

How anyone has here the idea out audio?

Sorry, but I don t understand what you want to do.
If you want to capture the sound, you will need to connect the audio device to the audio line in port. BUT the laptop does not support such port!

I presume that you have plugged into the external TV tuner card. Well, in this case, you should check the properties of the TV tuner!

By the way; the laptop supports the sound chip of the HD Audio Realtek ALC 861.
Visit the Realtek site and download and install the latest driver from the page!

  • Audio problems with Satellite P200-1BA

... Hi, first, my English is bad... :D

    I have a problem - I bought the Toshiba Satellite P200-1BA
After I bought the laptop, I reinstalled the operating system (recovery DVD 1 time)-j' have audio, but I m missing the settings for the subwoofer + virtual surround sound + equalizer! ...
Now I m help legal windows Vista Ultimate Edition, installed all the drivers + utility for my laptop, the Toshiba site, but I can't yet find the settings...

Do I need an additional program for the improvement of the sound, or I need only the audio driver?
Once more, I can't speak English, but I hope, someone of you can understand me and can help me - thanks in advance!... ;-)

Do I have to use my subwoofer bass, virtual sound + Equalizer again?

As far as I know Toshiba doesn't offer a special software for that. All available parameters, you can find in the Realtek HD Audio Manager in the control panel.
Each player has own EQ options and when you listen to music with a few players check this option in the drive itself.

    That's all.

  • Please help, audio problem with XW6600 and NVS 315

    Greetings:

I just buy a renovated, XW6600 Xeon dual processor, 8 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit system.  The PC comes with a nVidia NVS 290 graphics card.  Everything works fine and the speaker in the motherboard Jack produces sounds.  However, when I change the NVS 290 with a NVS 315 (it is a HP 720837-001 replacement part), the sound stops working.  The speaker in the systray icon has a red circle with an "x" in it.  If I right click on the speaker, the playback device, it shows two TV as icon one above the other with a red arrow pointing down and a description on the righ side saying "Digital Audio (HDMI) high definition Audio Device not connected.   I have the same result in 64-bit Windows 8.1.  The problem is resolved, if I reinstall the NVS 290.  For both cards, I use the latest version of the nVidia Driver and driver HP.  Am I missing something?

Any help to solve this problem is greatly appreciated.

First of all, you want to be sure to load the latest version of the BIOS on this xw6600.  It is from the end of 2012.

I met this problem several times... do not know if these suggestions will help, but I think that your experience may be related to previous losses audio when the latest drivers are loaded that contain "pilot high-resolution audio" in the game of video driver.

The current Quadro NVS 315 W7 64 bit graphics drivers Quadro ODE 320.92, which work well in my xw6400, xw6600 and xw8400 workstations running several types of cards Quadro FX and NVS.  If you have used the standard installer downloaded and used the standard "recommended" install that he threw into about 5 pieces, that only one you really need (selected by default single main driver in a custom installation).  That's all I use now, throughout my nVidia installs, and I also check the clean install box on the last page before loading begins in the custom installation path that I go down.   So, to charge fees, I first uninstall anything nVidia via the control panel and then hunt around on drive C for nVidia remains in the trash.  This includes any folder with nVidia in its title, including temporarily enable Show hidden files and folders in the tab views in the Folder Options Control Panel.  I then reboot and finally make this unit "clean install" - checked - technical of custom installation.

Try this approach first... it's easier.  You might have luck, and audio can return.

One of the elements that was installed in the "recommended" non-custom installation was a driver of nVidia high-resolution audio.  This seems to conflict with / replace the RealTek driver who was using your audio RealTek chipset on the motherboard.  I discovered that there is a part of BIOS for those workstations which is usually hidden, but sometimes becomes visible with installing drivers high-resolution audio.  F10 in the BIOS, go to the Advanced tab, down for the terminal Options and check if rebalanced Audio appears just above monitor follow-up.  If he was not hidden by the nVidia high-resolution audio driver load then it will virtually always disable status.  Change to activate, F10 to save the change and BIOS don't forget to save changes on exit and F10 again when BIOS asks.

We got exactly that occur as a result of installing the drivers nVidia GeForce to a GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST on a xw8400 and I saw that happen with these latest nVidia Quadro driver packages, too.

This is the second best method to solve the problem, if it works.

Another approach is to save your current BIOS settings via replicated in the BIOS Setup, load into my settings to clone xw6600 (attached) and see if the sound comes back like that.  Sometimes integrated Audio remains hidden when we F10 in the BIOS, but my clone settings was set correctly even though the option remains hidden.  You can open the attached CPQSETUP. TXT file with Notepad and Find allows you to do a search for "audio"... the second shot will be the Audio integrated, one.  Note that it is configured to allow this clone... He usually lies in a status of disable, otherwise.

You can edit it with Notepad, except that, and charge that the version of your original settings of the BIOS using replicated Configuration changed if you want to use this technique with other types of work, such as the xw8600 workstations.  You will always find this entry via this method, even though it is hidden when you look directly into the BIOS, so it's a good thing to know.

It is the third most easy.

Fourth... you start dinking autour with drivers in Device Manager.

Replicated configuration function of the BIOS with a USB, it is very easy to save your original BIOS settings, try another set of settings and return to your original if you wish.  The clone CPQSETUP. TXT file can be edited by hand (with caution) to convert a Disable to activate, for example, saved and then downloaded into your BIOS firmware.  If you want to try attached BIOS xw6600 clone settings make sure to change off the coast of the "xw66002" so that only CPQSETUP. We recommend you to check if the mix parameters for the applications you use are activated. To do this, try the following steps.
Step 1: Turn on the mixer for running applications settings
    a. launch Gmail or Skype video chat.
    b. click on the volume icon in the taskbar.
    c. click mixer.
    d. under Applications, select that is to reactivate the sound for all running applications.
    e. check if the problem persists.
