Aurora browser keeps trying to update with a version I already have. Are these real updates? Or y at - it a bug?

I 31.0a2 Aurora (2014-05-27) it asks me to upgrade to the same version (31.0a2). She does regularly and the last of them was the 2014-05-28 19:30 EDT

See [1003379/questions/1003379] why is Aurora still on the a2 version?

Aurora Gets an update almost every day and it only changes the version number when the version of Firefox on the channel of update version gets a major version update (next will be 29.0.x to 30.0), so it's OK.

  • library music iCloud keeps trying to update, even if it is not...

    It's driving me crazy.

I tried Apple's music and so tried the music library to iCloud. Both turned out not be what I wanted, so I've cancelled my subscription and turned them off - I've got a couple of weeks left on my free trial and then it will not renew.

However, in the preferences on my Mac, even though I disabled iCloud show Apple music and use music library, and Genius is off too, iCloud music library keeps trying to update, and so it appears in the window at the top right of iTunes downloads. I click on the cross to cancel that it cancels and then I get a popup saying "results Deleting Genius." But the genie is turned off. And therefore iCloud music library.

This happens at the launch, but it also happens when I try to rent a movie - and it actually stops rail rental, unless I have try the rental up to three times, return to the search page, find the movie again and trying to rent it again...

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

  • I keep trying to install the latest version of firefox and it does not work

I am running firefox 3.something, I think, and I keep trying to install the latest version on my mac. I have through save, open, drag the icon to my apps file... and when I drag my apps file, it takes a few seconds to do * something *, pings to me and then nothing after that. I try to open it and it tells me that I have to close firefox first, so I didn't (restart even) and when it opens again it still opens to the old version.

Looks like you are trying to install the latest version by downloading it from the Mozilla site. What happens if you try and install by choosing Firefox > Firefox in the Menu bar? Yet you say that Firefox is not updated?

Also, have you tried to uninstall Firefox using CleanMyMac or AppCleaner, for example and then install again? Please do not do this until you are satisfied you have saved all the information that you want to keep, first (passwords, etc.).

    Hello

I seem to be having problems when you try to install a program on my Windows 7 that allows to launch on my Windows XP and Windows Vista. I used the tool to solve compatibility problems and selected these settings in the CONFIGURATION file, but nothing seems to work the error message I get is as follows:

"This version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are using. Check your computer's system information to see if you need a x 86 (32 bit) or x 64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher. »

Is it possible to set my computer to allow this program to run successfully? Any solution would be greatly useful.

    Hello Rdforbe,

The problem is a software that was created for Windows 95, 98, and Windows XP has no way to work correctly with an operating system that didn't even exist when the software was written. However, the error message you get normally means that you have a 32-bit software that you are trying to install on a 64-bit system.

To find out if your computer is running 32-bit Windows or 64-bit, follow these steps:
System opened by clicking on the button start , by clicking on the Control Panel, click System.
Under system, you can view the system type. This will describe if you have 32-bit or 64-bit.

You can also try compatibility mode.

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    Use the following steps:

    (1) right click on the program

    2) click Properties

    3) click on the Compatibility tab

    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.

If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player (www.vmware.com), or any other software virtualization part 3rd and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

    I hope this helps.

    What can I do?

    Hello

    1. which edition of Windows are you using? Is - this edition is 32-bit or 64-bit?

Given that the game is compatible with Windows 7, I suspect that the conflict can be 32-bit or 64-bit architecture.
The link below shows the compatibility of this game with Windows 7.

    Method 1.
We must ensure that the edition of the game must correspond with the operating system.
If you use 64-bit in this game, you need the 64-bit Windows to install it.
    Method 2.
If the above information matching I you recommend to start the computer in clean condition and then try to install the game.

  • Windows store keeps trying to update apps Bing NOT on my PC

It started to happen days without apparent reason. When an app update is available for applications

with no ties to Microsoft, while they were manually inspecting ALL the apps updates Bing will appear as needing to be

updated. It is that many of these applications are simply not installed on my PC... like finance, Sports, News

and yet they will appear in the list of pre-selected update ready to be installed

Has anyone else seen elsewhere? or able to fix... I ran the Troubleshooter (things seem fine) Apps, I also

installed the applications listed and which allows to Powershell and the command Remove-AppxPackage on each app, Bing, Bing

I'm now just a few independent app update see if Bing apps appear again

It seems that MS may have solved the problem at their end.

I have not tried tips recently to repair myself, and they have since disappeared from the list of update of the store.

  • Firefox worked, today has not started with the error the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are using.

Computer is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Firefox has work fine for over a year on this computer. Nothing has been changed or updated updated except Windows update indicates that it installed updates on August 19. I had computer week before because only out of town, back entrance and began August 18, but Firefox has worked that day. Does not use FF again until today. Today August 22, firefox does not start, shortcut icon changed program not there. Exe in the folder when you click Poster error message says the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows, I am running. Exe of Firefox shows created on 20 August. I suspect the update, Windows or FF but lean towards windows, which was spent, who broke things. I noticed that IE 10 updates, updates of .NET framework and the malicious software removal tool have been installed. I tried to restart the computer, has not set. Tried to run as administrator, did not work. I don't want to uninstall FF, at least have to because of all the things I have here, bookmarks, last past passwords, etc..

    Hello

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files (not the profile folder, where the bookmarks are stored) and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

    Thank you.

  • is not compatible with the version of windows you are using, with X 86 or X 64

My son downloaded something and now I can't use anything on my computer, I get "not compatible with the version of windows that you are using, with the X 86 or X 64... I uninstalled it but it will not go away, I tried to do a system restore, but I get the same error... ideas?

What antivirus you typed the problem started?

It seems fishy to me, it could be a virus that has been downloaded at a given time, perhaps even until this program was installed. I would try an online virus scanner.

And: http://quickscan.bitdefender.com/en/ (from what I hear, it removes something fishy, so be careful!)
It should work with IE (Internet Explorer).
Curiously, the ones I tried before I could not find, so I did a quick search and these look good.
I forgot to ask sooner, but you can open command prompt (start > Accessories > try click right-click on command prompt, and then run as administrator)?
    I hope this helps!
PS What version of Internet Explorer you have?
  • The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are runing problem.

IM facing problem installing some software: the error message is below to:

The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows that you are running, check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x 86 version or x 64 of this program and then contact the software publisher

while trying to change the compatibility to windows 7 option does not appear

Windows 7 will not be included within the compatibility list, because you are already using Windows 7. Your only option is to contact the Publisher of software (the company that built the program) and get a version that works with your computer type (64 bit or 32 bit, whichever one you have).

  • My 3.6.14 keeps trying to update and gives this error message: "the update could not be installed. Please make sure that there are no other copies of Firefox running on your computer and restart Firefox to try again. »

My OS is Windows XP service pack 3 version. I even tried to install FF4 but he never settle. As I mentioned my FF continues to try to update, but it gives the error message that I set out in the title. Now I don't have access to my FF browser and my life stopped because I have all my saved passwords on FF. I restarted my laptop but it stills try to update himself giving the same error message. I can not also improved my Adobe reader 7.0.7-10 I tried more than 10 times, but it is never up to date. I had this problem Adobe for a long time.

Run the program Firefox once as an administrator (right click: run as administrator).

If this does not help, then do a clean reinstall.

    Do a clean install (re)-:

    • Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
    • Uninstall your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before installing this copy of the Firefox installer.
    • Do not erase personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    • It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.

Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

  • How can I fix updates that do not update, but keep trying to update?

5 same updates update everyday, or if it says "update successful". How updates without FRY? The updates are: KB2418241-KB983583-KB982524-KB979909-and KB982168. They are all for .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 except KB982168 and is for 3.5 SP1. Each of them have (x 86) at the end. It's the first time that this has happened so please forgive my ignorance.
