Aurora Firefox crashes when opening multiple tabs

Hi all

So I use firefox aurora for some time without running into any problems, but since this morning, aurora crash whenver I open 2 + or there are several tabs that use the flash player plugin (for example Facebook and Youtube is a combo that always translates into a fall).

Now, I have noticed some threads about people with similar problems, but did not find a solution outside genral as patches starting firefox in safe mode, disabling hardware acceleration, etc., of which none appear not to work.

If someone knows a way to solve this problem, please report it here.

See you soon

I'm under 32.0a2 Aurora. This morning I upgraded to Aurora when the popup little said that there is a new update available. Since then, I have not been able to open Aurora. • Home page of Firefox loads when opening new tabs

    Greetings!

When I open a new tab (add) in Firefox, the new tab automatically load my start (home) page. He is an annoying "feature" when I open the page to insert an address because the address of the start page is present, resulting in the need to remove it from the address bar. This was not the case in previous versions of Firefox. Is there a setting to fix this? In other words, I'd like to open a 'blank' page when opening a tab, but I don't want a blank page appears at startup.

    Thank you.

    California.Cyclist

These are actually separate settings internally, unless you use an add-on to replace.

Here's how you can change your new tab page:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.newtab.url and enter your favorite page:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
    • Blank tab = > subject: empty
    • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
    • Any other page = > full URL of the page

Press Ctrl + t to open a new tab and check that it worked. Fixed?

If the problems persist, some potential diagnoses and remedies:

If Firefox will not let you change this setting: you can have what is called SearchProtect on your system. This must be removed the control panel.

Firefox if allows you to save your changes, but he doesn't know: one of your extensions may be the substitution of her. You can consult, disable and/or remove extensions on page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, take a critical look on the list on the right and turn off (or remove) something unknown.

If the modification works during your session, but during the next startup is return to the unwanted page: you could have a user.js file in your personal settings Firefox (your Firefox profile folder). This article describes how to track down and delete the file: How to fix preferences that will not save.

    A little luck?

  • 38.0.1 Firefox crashes when opening gmail

As of today, after that firefox grabbed the 38.0.1 update, it always crashes when I open gmail. It's probably on the GoogleTalkPlugin. Apart from that, firefox always crashes when trying to play any video Vimeo or SoundCloud audio. This has happened since the 37.x; I have been using firefox in paralyzed avoiding only webpages with Vimeo or SoundCloud built-in mode (even if it is a gene). With unusable gmail so, I'm dead in the water.

This looks like a problem with GStreamer.

  • Firefox crashes when opening and randomly - Windows XP.

What I saw, is that FireFox crashes on most start-ups. It also blocks at random. He experienced, he did this in safe mode, too. He has done this before that plug-ins have been installed, and he does it since FireFox 12 or 13 of FireFox.

Curiously, my folder where incident reports SHOULD go is completely empty.

    Current version: 22.0

    What I'd do here?

    Hello

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

  • CC of Photoshop crashes when opening multiple images

Does anyone else have this problem of PS CC crashing while trying to open multiple images? If you open a file at the same time, there is no problem, but 2 or more and it hangs as shown below. I tried with JPG, TIFF and PSD and still get the same problem.

I also tried booting while pressing ctrl/alt/shift, but still get the same problem.

PS The CC is 14.0, 32-bit version, running on Windows 7, which is updated. I have only 4 GB of RAM, that PS takes 60% of it according to the system information panel. This could be a cause, or is this a bug in the software? I've never had this problem before in CS6 or precedent.

    Thanks in advance.

  • 14.0.1 Firefox crashing when opening bookmarks or incognito after Win7 upgrade.

I use Firefox for many years and this is the first question I had with her. After an automatic update and automatic restart last night Win7, I tried to open Firefox this morning. I pulled up News.google.fr and it crashed. I tried the private browsing, and it crashed. I opened my favorites, and it crashed. Even with all disabled add-ons, it crashes. It works in safe mode. I don't have McAfee - I use ESET Smart Security.

I'm including the ID of the last crash.

Any help would be appreciated. You don't realize how much you rely on a browser until it breaks!

It might give you problems hardware acceleration. Try turning off first, in Options > advanced > general. It could also be an extension, but first try the first idea. If it is not, disable several extensions, reboot and see if that helps. Otherwise, select those disabled and disable many more. If this does not help, you will have to limit to that is the problem.

  • standard XI of Acrobat crashes when opening multiple files

I have recently installed Windows (64-bit) Enterprise 10 on PC Dell Optiplex 9010 with 16 GB of RAM as a clean install.  After you have reinstalled my Acrobat Standard XI registered version that came with my scanner Fujitsu, I'm UNABLE to OPEN SEVERAL PDF FILES at the SAME TIME because of the accident.

I ran the update - running 11.0.15 version.  I also changed the screen reader Options / Page vs Document "Only read the currently visible pages", but still crashes.

Does anyone know of another parameter that must be considered when running Windows 10 so that I can open several files at the same time without crashing?

YatharthS, I found the solution in another post.

    Prototype85 , February 11, 2010 09:13 (in response to (Ilya_Zeldes))

    Solution:
    ...\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\plug_ins\
There are 3 files that you need to remove (or maybe just rar them so you always got them in case something goes wrong)
    Accessibility.API MakeAccessible.api, ReadOutLoud.api
(if this gives problems, simply delete the files with the same name and .xxx where xxx represents a certain language also)

  • Firefox crashes when opening PDF files. fix as soon as possible

So as to access the PDF links Firefox and system both crashes many times and Firefox is not able to display PDF files. Please check why Firefox cannot display a PDF file

What version of the plugin are you using for a PDF file? For example, this is what I see:

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Modules > Plugins category

    Adobe Acrobat 10.1.4.38

If the problem occurs on some sites including, could you provide a URL or describe any reason than those which may differ for other PDF files?

If the issue occurs for all the PDF files, you could test these sites in Mode safe? It's a standard diagnosis in order to avoid interference by extensions (and some custom settings).

First of all, I recommend you backup your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox. (You can copy your profile folder Firefox together somewhere outside the Mozilla folder).

Then restart Firefox in Mode safe (questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode) of Firefox help

Help > restart with disabled modules

In the dialog box, click "start mode safe."

If a PDF file is operating normally, it points to one of your extensions or custom as the problem settings.

    Any difference?
