Aurora is advertised as a windows application 8, and yet it opens in the desktop section of windows, can it be opened in the application of half of windows 8? It would be more useful...
In windows 8 screen can be divided into desktop and app half half, it would be very useful if Aurora could be opened in the application, half of the operating system and allow the normal office work to the other half, on a windows desktop 8, I can't see any advantage to use Aurora instead of Firefox, if this is not possible It's a little let down to be honest, I thought that Aurora was an excellent and practical idea.
Is there a way for this app windows 8 be opened as an app, or is it limited to the desktop?

Hello spangled101, just to clarify: aurora is a code name for the beta version of firefox hwere novelties are tested. the version that is aurora today will be available as firefox in a few months.

I've updated a computer in a Family History Library, where I work voluntarily as a librarian. I clean installed a Windows 7 Pro Enterprise Version OS. A few days earlier and starting to run Windows Update in order to set the computer up to be ready for the configuration of the software and customer communication, I found that although I am registered as an administrator, I was unable to run updates manually or change update settings. Automatic update seems to work OK, however.
Could someone tell me if there is a way simple routine of manually popularising the Windows updates?

It seems that some background programs is in conflict with the proper functioning of Office Outlook 2007. You can try to put your computer in a clean boot and check the base program leading Outlook hang.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
The steps to perform a clean boot are given below:
1 log on to the computer using an account with administrator rights
2. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue
3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)
4. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all
Note:
Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. To check if there are updates failed, follow these steps
i. Click Start, in the search box, type in update
II. click on windows Update
III. click view update history
I recommend you to start the computer in a clean boot to determine if any third-party application is at the origin of the problem. How to run check and clean boot if you have the problem.

BIOS updated on Windows 7, now it is more 'authentic '.
I've recently updated the BIOS on my motherboard because I had pretty severe physical problems. These problems have disappeared, but now as of July 8, Windows 7 cannot determine whether it is genuine or not. I have no doubt that it is authentic, because this particular PC also comes with Windows 8 Pro but pre-installed with Windows 7 Pro. However, I've looked everywhere and I don't have COA for Windows 7 Pro either. I guess that's because it's OEM SLP. There is however a real sticker to Windows 8 Pro on pc it's led me to believe that Windows 7 Pro is not wrong either. Is it possible to upgrade my BIOS was what triggered this sudden "non-genuine" question? Is it possible that this was SLIC activated with what was the old BIOS version or I leave completely here?
Honestly, I don't know where to go with that because my computer tech support was not helpful at all and I prefer not wipe my computer and install Windows 8 only for her to have the same issues, if it is due to the upgrade of the BIOS.

Windows 7 is not possible more?

I got windows 7 64 bit on 1 player and an overview of release of windows 8 on the other.
but my 7 got really sloppy and undesirable, so I tried to format my drive and reinstall...
However when I did, it could not install the windows more. It gave an error message (when the update features part) and just couldn't move forward
I was wondering If there are difficulties for the windows 8 pre version on my pc (which I have to get rid of the 8)
