Auto update deleted all my files!

Last night my laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64 bit on a Dell Inspirion laptop performed an automatic update. After the reboot, all my personal files, including two 15 page paper that I worked for my diploma have been removed.
All my photos, personal files and word documents have disappeared. Only the shell of the My Documents folder, including subfolders that I created, is on the left.
I ran system restore back to an old restore point of two days, but not from my personal files were recovered.
I searced internet w / "automatic updates of Windows delete/erase all my files" and came up with several reported threads this automatic update problem, but not solutions.
Similar questions were asked in other parts of this forum with or without satisfactory answers:

The next step is to reconcile the total for 31 736 Mo C (say 31 GB) to the 51 GB what you said earlier. The formula to reconcile these figures is:
Partition C + folder System Volume Information + Free space + file compression gain = ability to drive or partition

The figure of the free space are in the lower left corner of the Treesize window. What is the current figure.

To determine the size of the selection of folder System Volume Information start, Control Panel, system, System Protection, click Configure under Protection settings. What is the figure of the current use?

  • Download the menu spry to auto update on all pages

I have read and searched for this "set-up menu spry to auto update on all pages" I want to know if I change the menu for example on the index page it can automatically then updaet the other 50 pages? Someone know how to do, what is it called, or where I can get a tutorial. Thank you

First of all, this forum is for MEASURE not Spry. If you use the uninstall then have you considered using an include on each of your 50 pages file? In this way, only you just maintain a single file.

If you do not MEASURE, and you have a static menu on all pages you need to edit, use ADSI-> find and replace.

If you have any questions of deep techo spry code, it would be best to ask your question on the Spry forum.

    Hope that helps.

I have deleted all THE files in my libraries FCPX rendering but have still 1.5 TB of unidentifiable used disk space. I don't have FCPX libraries on my 3 TB external drive. The total size of my libraries is 650 GB (when I add up the individual), but when I click on read the information for the reader, it says that I use 2 100 GB! It does not show that everything is on the disk. I went in each library individually in FCPX and deleted all THE files of rendering.  Reducing the total size of several concerts, but there are still almost 1 500 GB difference.

I tried to copy all libraries on another drive and they occupy only 650 GB (with no unidentifiable used disk space). I'm a bit confused.  Someone at - it ideas?  I would like to release 1.5 TB that starting to use the new hard disk with only 650 GB and reformat the drive, but if there is some kind of hidden, important files on the original drive as FCPX needs to work properly I won't ruin the hundreds of hours I spent on editing. I hope that all makes sense. Thank you in advance.

  • Creative cloud deleted all my files

I was working as normal, today, connected to the cloud, and everything was fine. At one point, I worked on another file and saw that I got a sync error.  Then I saw that most of my files are gone.  I saw the last 2 have literally disappeared before my eyes. As the owner of all of our files at the office, I naturally took panic, because the folders on my computer endangered SHOULD make them disappear on computer everyone.  Fortunately, it didn't.

I searched and found about 80% of the files in my trash, so I was able to recover immediately, but our most frequently used, file wasn't the case to find. After it turned off everything else on my computer, from and several reboots of the synchronization, it began to recover this file.  Of course, there were 3600 files, so it takes about 2 hours to restore, what makes me completely unproductive for those 2 hours (so why I have the time for this type).

I contacted Adobe support and their first response was ' sorry, no one else reported it. "  After pressure for a better response, all I could get was that they wanted was remote access to my computer.  Considering that I work for a very safe society and want to continue working for them tomorrow, which is not produced.  Now I considered them my log files so that they can maybe find the glitch... and it it up just for another team.

Suffice it to say that it is both a warning to all who rely on the cloud for their workflow and a problem that adobe needs to address, because if it happened to me, it can happen to anyone.  Everyone knows something like that?

Yes, certainly aware of that as well. In fact, I very like that there are more controls for what people can do... to create and edit files, but not move or delete them, for example.  In this case, which is not certainly did not.  In fact, I'm the only person who has access to each folder in the share.  Nobody deleted all our files.  In fact it did not affect everyone sharing all... just me.

Thanks for the reminder that I need to clean with our archives.  Fortunately, we are only about 1/4 capacity.

  • Why Cloud Creative delete all my files and re - download them when it automatically updated?

I lost the files since the last 3 days because the creative cloud did not and I didn't immediately. When I finally saw it wasn't syncing I restarted CC, it then automatically updated and the creative Cloud Files folder has been deleted and the 11 GB of files had to be re-uploaded CC everything I had worked since the creative cloud became insensitive immediately lost and not recoverable. CC is now useless to me if I can't count on it at least not to delete my files. I may go back to Dropbox to synchronize, at least when it goes down it does not remove my files the. 3 days of work gone in a Flash. I disabled the auto-update feature and will not fail to back up my hard drive before updating the CC manually. It's stupid. I had been very happy with CC up to this point, but it's kind of a big deal, now that I have to wait a few hours for my files for re - download.

    James,

With the recent update of the application of Creative Cloud Desktop (1.9.1.474), we have unfortunately introduced a bug that causes the creation of a new Creative Cloud Files folder and re-synchronization of all content. This will happen only the first time that the synchronization application runs after the update. This caused an understandable pain and confusion, for which we really apologize.

Creative application Cloud Files contains a logic that supports the use of several Adobe ID. This allows to disconnect from an ID and in, but keeps the contents of your separate creative cloud. When you sign out and change identifiers, the app moves the previous creative Cloud Files folder and it's content and he adds with the already signed in ID (User@AdobeID). Then, it creates a main folder and begins to synchronize the content of the identification of new.

The bug I mentioned earlier occurs, as the app believes an ID selector took place and as such, moves the current record of Creative Cloud Files and attempts to annex the already signed in ID. As no switch actually took place, it manifests as (unknown).  The application then creates a main folder to synchronize the data.

What you end up with is essentially a creative Cloud Files folder with your new synchronized data and a creative Cloud Files (unknown) folder that contains duplicate data.

This happens once, after the last update.

The solution is to simply delete the (unknown) Creative Cloud Files folder.

I recommend that ensure you that you have no pending change you can do offline and you check the contents of the folder new, main designer Cloud Files contains everything you expect of him.  If not, check the contents of the creative Cloud Files (unknown) folder that your files should be there.

If there is still an incompatibility with your data, you can check on creative.adobe.com to confirm that your data is there.

  • My computer deleted all my files of Documents

When I went to sign in my computer this morning, I noticed that almost all of my files in downloads had been removed. No one touched my computer for several days, so I was wondering what had happened. I restarted my computer and when I did, everything was gone.

All the photos, documents, music - it's all over now, and I don't know how or why. The background is over and is a black solid, and all shortcuts and documents/pictures/movies/files that were on the desktop are now also gone. Another thing I noticed, that I use the feature often enough, is that the small desktop icon in the toolbar (which minimizes everything automatically and displays only the office) has disappeared as well.

I tried to do a system restore, but realized that my computer did not control points, so I have no recourse in this area either. It's really horrible, and I don't know who I should ask, windows or my PC manufacturer (Gateway), for help. I'm afraid that if I restart my computer once again, everything (programs, etc.) will be gone. Help, please.
