Automatic cropping?

Hey guys,.

I'm scanning a bunch old pictures mounted on some sort of sheet of cardboard. I wonder if there is a way to batch these photos with a sort of automatic cropping that removes all the pixels around the photo itself, i.e. the sheet of cardboard?  Instead of manually opening images and by cutting the photo itself.

Here are some examples:

    It's really confusing, than me and I have never had this kind of problems before.  I have videos of source that are 720 x 480, but as soon as I import in first, they are grown to 540 x 480.  It is not a problem with the sequence settings or anything, because the imported source file is cropped until it's even in a sequence.  I tried to look online for a solution but could not find.  Does anyone know how this can be fixed... maybe some import settings that I don't know?

  • How C7280 to print, prepare Photos 4 x 6 without automatic cropping of the printer?

    Community Aloha,

    I just got the new printer, works very well except that I had to download the drivers, the CD is not good...

    Has: in any case! My problem is that I'm making Art and I made a 4 x 6 300 DPI "Flyer" in Photoshop Cs3

    as envoys for the Photoprinter (fine locked preview) but she doesn't cut some edge (text), auto croped it...

    It also does if I print photos done fresh direkt form Media Card, but then I thought it would be that the form of the photo the camera has a slight

    another dimension.

    Someone found the perfect technical, is there a line that I have to calculate in my work since its borderless printing?

    B: Anyone know if there are plugins for Photoshop CS3 & Illustratio, Indesign... Its a heck of a click through and different set ups feel for the impression made...

    Just keep in mind that the Photoprinter crop/Enlages the picture a bit.

    and if you put the artwork, text on your soon to print as an image photo... Keep a space of security between the

    Depict the margins of safety 2, 5-3 mm: in Gerneral good:

    Safety margins 2.5 to 3 mm of the landscape: in Gerneral good too:

    So, I have a few hundred image files which consist of 3 or 4 scanned photos, also called 'gang' scanned. But I want to be abe to run a script that will ask me for a file to be processed and then run culture & straighten it on all the pictures, so that their savings to another folder called "Édition" or something.  I found a script in the forums for this exact purpose, but it doesn't seem to work in CS5.  I ran it several times, it creates the folder "Edited", but nothing is inside.     jpgSaveOptions.quality = jpegQuality;
    activeDocument.saveAs(saveFile, jpgSaveOptions, true,Extension.LOWERCASE);
    }
    function zeroPad(n, s) {
    n = n.toString();
    while (n.length < s) n = '0' + n;
    return n;
    };

    The script finds only files jpg, tif or psd, if your files are differenent format this format would need to add to the script.

    It could also be a problem with the editor allows you to save the script, some programs will add control characters and stop the operation of the script.

    It is best to use the ExtendScript Toolkit, as is the program installed with Photoshop for editing/testing scripts.

  • Can not stop "auto crop" documents, scan on my HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one

    I use a HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one to scan documents.   My OS is Windows 7 64 bit.   I have used this configuration since January 2012 and my problem has just started in the last 30 days.  I did not any changes to the system except for the automatic updates of Windows coming out.

    I unchecked the box "automatically Crop scanned Documents" in the Advanced Document settings, but as soon as I scanned a page, the checkbox appears in the box again (in itself!) and it will automatically crop a bad document.

    No idea why this is happening and what I can do about it?

    Thanks for your help.

    Not really sure what caused it, but looks like the setting has glitched somewhere along the way and will be set when past.  Try unintalling to reinstall a new download.  Let me know what happens.

  • HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium - How can I turn / adjust the automatic scanning of culture?

    Hello

    How turn on, turn off or set automatic cropping on my scanner?

    I keep getting picture errors when you try to scan a check to deposit into my car. Instead, the verification is automatically cropped I find I have to do it manually (as much as possible of the eye). I think that this manual effort contributes to mistakes of image, but maybe not. Previously, I had an AIO Photosmart C7280 printer and never had this problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Dan

    I am told that the 6700 does not have the feature to automatically crop. Therefore, I use the custom function has been suggested earlier in this thread. I got used to it and it works fine. Next time, I'll make sure the printer I buy crop themselves automatically. I hope this helps.

  • HP 8600 more: stubborn point cropping @ scan to network folder

    Hello

    When scanning scanning HP utility there is an option to crop the items analyzed by the borders (as in the case where you scan several photos in 1 scan and want what they are crooped to several files).

    When scanning from the printer directly to the network folder mapped, I think that this culture option does not exist. Is it possible to make the printer of cultures by limits when you scan directly to the network printer folder?

    Thank you

    Such an only offered by the HP software, automatic cropping is not an option for direct digital delivery option.

    Such I suggest to choose computer in the menu printer scan and digitize an image (JPG), then such a will made by HP software.

  • Cropping photos scanned with Officejet 4620

    I wonder if this feature is available on the Officejet 4620, I bought my parents as a gift.  I have a Photosmart C4580 and when I scan a photo, the HP software automatically detects and adjusts the cropping for me.  On the 4620, I scanned a picture using the scanner glass and this automatic cropping does not; I had to manually drag down the 8.5x11 full culture square to fit photo 4 x 6.  Is there a feature of "car culture" on the Officejet 4620?

    Sorry, it is not a feature of 'culture of self' for the 4620. The only thing you can do is drag the place of culture do you to adjust your image.

  • Problems with the crop angle slider

    Whenever I go to "crop and straighten" and click on the 'Angle' slider it automatically adjusts the angle of my photo to 0.53 - 0.53 or slightly cultures it as well. It's very annoying and no matter what I I it retouching images still happens. I can always manually adjust after that but even resume the angle 0 leaves my slightly cropped image. Is it possible to disable the automatic cropping? I don't know yet if it's happening because each image there or +.53 or-. 53. automatic framing would probably produce something different each time.

    Try checking "Force them to Image." You can also use the level if the image has horizontal or vertical edges you want leveled.

  • Automatic slice up to transparency in diapers?

    Is it possible to let photoshop automatically see the 4 different elements, their slice/cut/trim 4 new layers?

    Let's say you have 60 birds in a single image, with a blue sky. It is word of 2 seconds to remove the background but a lot of work to cut/copy each bird in a separate layer.

    Untitled-3.jpg

    There is an alternative solution which is considerably faster, but requires some experiences. As shown in the illustration above, an expansion of 12 pixels was not enough to prevent the purple object to be cropped.  However, if an appropriate amount of Expand is obtained, it would be logical alternative.

    1 magic Wand, select the transparent area

    2. invert the selection

    3. Select > modify > Expand (I chose 12 pixels, which were not enough in this case)

    4 edit > race white 2px

    5 file > automate > crop and straighten Photos. Automatic separate files.
