• OfficeJet Pro K550 C8157A: officejet Pro K replace rollers

  I have owned and personally used this printer since May 2006.  To me, that reliever rolls are hardening and not to pick up the paper in the tray correctly.  I found a source for the rolls, however I don't have a manual that will provide guidance to replace the rollers.  Do you have a source for the maintenance and repair of the printer?

• Gray printing Officejet Pro K550 problems

  Hello.

  I use a HP Officejet Pro K550 (STD) as well as a new Acer Veriton PC, equipped of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit O.S.

  For normal printing, up to today, it works well, but they are a couple of days, instead, if I print an image, by selecting the "Gray Scale" - high quality option in the printer properties, everything that fate, causing printed in RED scale!

  If instead, I select 'Gray Scale - only black ink', it prints normally.

  What is going on?

  The cartridges are always at the right level (Black XL just replaced) and even after using the utility Scan Doctor, it seems everything is OK... but this isn't reallly so OK.

  What can you tell me?

  I have to print several copies in the next few days and wouldn't no more free time, paper and inks...

  I read about the issues you are having with your Officejet K550 printer because it is only print Yellow ink in clumps. As you have already changed the ink, I wouldn't recommend this even once and unfortunately looks like an internal malfunction. However, please always try the rest of the troubleshooting steps in the guide that I found for you below.

  I found some of my colleagues who have worked on this printer. There are some things to try, however, it is not all good news.

  The engineer estimated that on the print head nozzles may be clogged for 2 reasons. The first is that there is only some residue ink. Here's what he said: "perhaps you can suggest to the customer to try to remove the print head (just the print head which has cyan nozzles), use a cotton pad or damp cloth to clean the residue of ink around the nozzle. Replace the printhead, and then do the cleaning sequence that the manual says. This procedure might be able to recover some scenarios of nozzle clog, but he's going to use up little ink. »

  However, it may be that air took the print head: '. '. If the print head is deprimed, that means air penetrated in a certain room after turning on which can never be purged, causing not able to sink more ink. In these cases, I think that the print head should be replaced. »

  The engineer also spoke with assurance of customer, who believes that this particular product is past its end of life, which means that it is technically longer than Hp designed to operate. I know that you only had 3 years, but you want to be aware of this.

• OfficeJet Pro K550 dtn won't recognize auto-duplex no unit plus

  I have been using this printer at work for a few years now, and everything that has happened ok (except for the very very annoying problems power almost constantly). But lately, he ceased to recognize the auto-recto-sided unit is installed and will be the only impression 2 faces manually. This causes a lot of paper wasted because he does NOT do well at ALL. It's my printer automatic two-sided only in the office which is fast and uses large amounts of ink. I've recently updated my work computer to Windows Vista 64-bit. I do not remember if I have whatever it is printed with the success of the machine automatic double-sided on Vista, but I'll test this on a XP machine to see. I tried to remove the device automatic double-sided and put it to, turn on/off the printer, unplug and re - connect the USB cable, try different types of document, nothing helps. I also tried to check the device settings in the printer properties, there is no option to use the device automatic double-sided or market. Allow manual two-sided printing is available only related duplex option and it is enabled. Auto-recto-back does not work if I disable either (so I have just no double-sided printing option!). I hope someone can help with this, I have a large volume of documents recto / verso I need to print quickly and it will be a significant waste if I use this printer + duplex printing manual (because of flow problems) or if I have to use one of my other printers (not fast and use more ink).

  It is possible that some physical damage could occur to the duplex unit when you cleared the jam. Remove the duplexer and search for a contact metal / electric on the side left (same side as the ink cartridges) of the unit. There should be a contact that he who touches a point of electric contact inside the printer. If this contact is bent or broken, the printer does not recognize the duplex unit. If it looks correct, carefully handed the duplexer into the printer, make sure of course that's good side up with the contact on the side of handwriting, until it snaps. • Cannot configure automatic duplexing in Officejet 7310

  I have attached the auto duplex printing accessory, but it doesn't seem to be recognised - I get only offered manual duplex.  I reinstalled the driver on the HP download site, the manual said to go to 'Configuration' and select "automatic two-sided printing Module"-, but this option is not there.

  What operating system do you have?  In Vista, you would do the following: go to the Printers folder, do a right-click on the 7310, run as administrator, properties, (continue), device settings, installation options, set the duplex unit to installed, OK.

  If you are using Vista you probably will need a patch to prevent printing upside down, see here for more detailson the back.

• HP Officejet Pro K550 will not appear in Snow Leopard 10.6.3

  When I try to print, I get an error message. I installed the new software of the printer from the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 install disc as the software on the HP site is only 10.6.2. Printer is ready but-mistake.  Printer was a network of airports on an old computer running Panther, now connected via USB to a MacBookPro upgraded to OS 10.6.3. I'm so frustrated I could tear my hair out!

  The printer is connected directly to a MBP or shared between both of them?  I'm a bit confused on this point.

  Your printer isn't a K550 plain or has he the ability to network (the K550 has a dtn suffix or such)?

  Do a software update, and then reset the printing system:

  -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
  -Right (Ctrl) click the box of the print queue and select Reset Printing System.
  -Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

  Put PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  After that, all my custom Print Quick Sets Taks disappeared.  I have a picture of my old installation of Windows 7.  Can someone tell me where are stored the these quick sets and if it is possible to copy them from one computer to another?  I had about 10 of them and do not remember each each of the individual parameters if recreate them would be a chore.

  I understand you are trying to move the quick print job sets from one PC to another. As these settings are stored in the print queue, it is not possible to move the settings to a new computer. Your best option would be to recreate the settings on the new computer.

  How to print a test page to make sure that this printer is still operational?

  I tried all the instructions release possible jams printer, deleted and reinserted the printheads and clean the rollers.  When you press the keys on the front of the printer, it will not print a test page.  and no led error display.

  The printer has been connected to another computer and stopped working last summer.  The printer does not respond to commands from the computer, nor would he respond to the keys on the front of the printer itself.  I can get the printhead to move using the controls on the front of the printer, however.  The printer is not currently connected to any computer and the nearest computer has not installed the appropriate drivers.  Initially the printer is connected to a desktop computer Dell Windows XP (sp 3).

• I have a HP OfficeJet Pro K550 with a default IP address and I can't access it to change.

  Because the static IP address of the default printer is not in my subnet and my network doesn't have a DHCP server, that I am unable to access the settings, I need to change the IP address that I can use.  I use Windows 7 64 bit and am connected to the printer via the USB port.  I don't know if I got a my network IP address I could type in the address bar and open many more parameters, but I'm not sure how as the default IP address is not on my network.

  I guess that you can not connect to the printer subnet temporarily?  You can disconnect the printer from this subnet temporarily?  You can connect an Ethernet between your PC and the printer cable?
