  Here is an example of adding a date for a file name:

  > exp med/med file=c:\expdat.%date:~10,4%%date:~7,2%%date:~4,2%.dmp

  To add as a data and once, you just need something based on time that is unique, so try something like:

  Yes you can import data to a PDF file from another data file using option "Import data" in Acrobat. AXI supports the .fdf, the .xfdf, the .xfd, .xml and .txt file formats.   Greetings,

  Is it possible to make a form that will automatically add a stamp to date. ? Here's the scenario: a user makes a series of questions through an e-learning module. The end of it, they click a button/link that leads to a page that contains a PDF file. The PDF file has a form to fill out so they enter their name in it and at some point, maybe when they get to the pdp, it's time/date stamp for this user. They print the PDF and give it to their supervisor.

  Maybe it's not possible to get the stamp to be added as soon as they arrive to the PDF, maybe they have to press a button on the PDF of it be added? I don't know what is possible or if it is possible. We would like just to have a way to get a stamp on the PDF document. The PDF file must not be downloaded, there need be printed in paper format, although having an option to have the PDF sent by email to the user may be an option as long as it can only be printed.

  Yes, it is possible, with a bit of JavaScript. You can have the date field automatically filled when the form is first opened or after they enter their name. For the latter, you can add the following script to the name field Validate event:

  // Get a reference to the date field

      f.value = util.printd("mm/dd/yyyy", new Date());
  } else {
      f.value = "";
  }
  

  Replace "date" with the actual name of your date field. You can also use a different date format, but this should help you get started. If you fill out when the document is opened, it's a little more complicated, but post again if this is what you want.

• Change migrated VM, vmdk disk file name / reference data store

  Hi all

  I'm trying to migrate a large number of virtual machines between physical datacenters (using SAN as the migration of mirroring method).

  The problem I encountered is that the operating system and data vmdk is localized on different data for each virtual computer warehouses. When break us the mirror and enter the VMX to the new location, the VMX file is a reference to the old path to the VMDK files (ie: the old data store in the center of source data). Only the VMDK files located in the same folder as the VMX file appear correctly in the vSphere - other client appears with the size of '0 GB' - as vSphere can't find referenced vmdk files.

  I don't want to update the VMX files manually, of course that's why I'm here. :-) But I struggled to find a way to update the hard drive using PowerCLI vmdk file name.

  I have to resort to pure PowerShell and update the file vmx in this way?

  I read all the blogs on the updating of the vmx files - but they have all shown to day extension data "extraconfig". for example:

  This extraconfig does not include the lines in the VMX file that specify the vmdk file name. for example:

  Ideally, I would have liked to use the command set-hard drive - unfortunately this is actually trying to move the non-existent vmdk to the new data store that I specify - rather than just update the baseline data store.

  I hope someone here can tell me an effective solution - without having to read in the vmx files and edit them using PowerShell.

  Oh, and I wrote a script to print the list of VMDK files attached to each virtual machine (in the datacenter from source before you remove migrated VMs)- so I have my CSV entry ready for use with a viable solution.

  If you have the list with the VMDK from the source, and you know how to translate those paths to the new location, you should be able to use the Remove-hard drive and the hard drive New cmdlets.

• How do you search a file name with parenthesis in there?

  Received a ton of files with duplicates, I need to delete.

  All the duplicate files end with '(1)' in the file name, for example: FilenameTest (1) .pdf

  I would like to find all files with '(1)' in the name of the file and then delete them, but spotlight search no parenthesis. This seems to be a documented problem (bug?). Is there a syntax or other workaround to force the spotlight to return a search with the bracket?

  The Finder, choose utilities go to menu, open the Script Editor and run the following exactly as shown:

  Tell application "Finder".

  Remove (each point of (choose folder) whose name contains '(1)')

  trying to locate all the file name containing the tilde (~) character. It is obviously special for the search as a search looking for files with this character corresponds to each file. I can't find the mechanism to quote the tilde so that Windows will search for files containing the tildes in name literally.

  I use Lightroom Version 6.3 on a MacBook. Soon there are a of files with the same file name, but a different extension, I see only one of these two, which are both located in the same folder.

  For example, I xyz.orf, xyz.jpg and xyz.tiff in the pictures in the folder, I can't import an another picture with the filename xyz.dng, and I see only one image xyz in Lightroom.

  I have never been faced with this problem before, so I guess, this is a bug.

  Believe it or not, this is design - mainly to treat the original raw + jpeg. There is a preference (general tab) to treat JPEG files as separate files.

  In regards to your tif files, change their names or place them in a subfolder of import. After importation, you can move them where you want.

  For some reason, my Nikon D7200 is producing filenames with a underscore ("_DSC0001.nef").  No problem.  What I'm trying to do is to rename the files during import.  I set up a model as follows:

  I deleted the files from Lightroom and reimported as COPY or MOVE, and get the same thing.  How to remove the Lightroom file name suffix is added?

  This occurs because a file already exists in your operating system with the same name in the destination folder.

  There is no built-in feature to the player that does this, but it can be done using a script.

  I have DL would be & installed the new version of BingBarSetup-partner. When I click on 'Activate' on the HP page for smart printing, the file tries to download me is "hpsmartprintbingbar_msi"!   I don't know this link, you download the .msi file, but you can get the .msi file to an average point round for download full software functionality from the link below, then simply by running the .msi. I would add as well the instructions for it below. Let me know what happens.

  I use DAQ to acquire the analog signal and I'm saving samples k 1 .lvm file using file capable of writing with a sampling frequency = 1 k, samples = 1 k in continuous mode. I am able to see the data stored in the .lvm file like this 1 k samples then a few lines of words (like channels, samples, date etc.) and then other samples of k 1 and so on not worked the .vi stopped but how to save the continually samples placed in without any line of words I mean save continuous samples.

  It would have been preferable to set the code when you set up the Express VI. You just leave the Express VI in its default settings? Have you tried to change the configuration to one header only?

  Your choice of an Express VI means you have limited options. If the options do not match your needs, you will need to use lower entry level file functions.

  I need to store a huge amount of data (115,200 Kbaud / port) because the system must continue to work for a week.

  In two days, I have a file size of over 500Mbytes. The problem is that I'm storing the data in a .txt file and then, when I want to the process, with the data, the computer laptop can´t open a file so the size.

  I can´t find a way in which the vi can change in real-time (himself) the file to store the data.
  Maybe the way is to create 3-4 files before the while loop (in which I read the data), and then change the file in which to store the data, but I can´t find a way to do it. With the get_file_size.vi that I know when I need to change the file, but how I have to do without leaving the whole loop? In my view, necessary to ensure that the visa_read.vi works...

  When passing a file or a file that belongs to a path that has one of its names of folders containing a character accentuated to GetFileDate(), I get an error of library function (return value == - 1). For example, all the files in the folder 'Eéprom' return an error.   Basically, you only add an additional line of printing to your function that creates the BAT file.

  Similar to this:

  fprintf (bat_file, "@echo off\n");

  fprintf (bat_file, "chcp 1252\n");
  fprintf (bat_file, "dir/s/b a - D \"%s\\*.*\"" > \"%s\"\n ", directory, TxtFile);

  This should set the code page of the console in which runs your BAT file, so that the dir command will be able to output the accents properly.
