Automatic update failed for KB911895

Automatic update failed and I got a message telling me 'important update' lay HID data entry error KB911895 filter. -What it means and how to fix it? I use an Acer Aspire One laptop. The only device I have attached a wireless microsoft mouse. Can someone help me?

Please contact the Microsoft answers Forum.

Follow these steps and then try to install the update.

1. go to the location: c:\windows\system\drivers\
2. search for and rename the file wdf01000.sys wdf01000.old
3. restart the computer.

  • Automatic update failed, and Windows does not start

    I am running Windows 7 and it does not start. Automatic update started as soon as my computer is awakened from his sleep. It closed several programs.     I was busy doing banking Internet when suddenly restarted my laptop. The normal normal shutdown and restart, except that I didn't ask for restart. Because they don't a message to say not to turn off the computer, automatic updates fill in your installation, or words to that effect.

    I think that a person is better to have a good overview of the update process since it is a MAJOR problem.

    I suggest you to follow these steps and check if that helps:

    Method 1:
    If you have installed a security software on the computer, then I suggest you try to disable temporary and check to see if the same problem happens. Make sure that you enable security software back once the diagnosis is made to prevent the computer from virus attacks.

    Method 2:
    Try to perform the clean boot and check if it helps:

    If still no joy, see if uninstalling & then reinstalling Office 2003 solves the problem.

    OPTION B (recommended):

    COMMENT: If a free trial Norton came preinstalled on the computer when you bought it, the free trialware was reinstalled (but invalid) when you have done the clean install of Windows XP last year. If you have NOT done a uninstall this free-trial AND THEN (b) run the Norton Removal Tool (c) BEFORE you installed AVG, but also of the Windows updates, you are looking to do a clean install.

    OK, I finally got...

    The certificate self-signed on IIS has expired on November but we missed.

    I had to use SelfSSL in the IIS resource kit to create a new certificate until 2043. I should be retired right here!

    The difficult part is to update the GPO to install the new certificate in the computer store. I completely forgot.

    Now it works well, and the Flash is up to date on my computer. Later the other 360 PCs
